Storybook Newsletter
Behind The Curtain

Welcome to the Storybook Newsletter Discussion Thread (SBNLDT) where all are welcome to talk about the monthly newsletter at length to keep it as fresh and wonderful for the community as possible.

What are we looking for here? Some basic impressions, if it's no problem for you--possibly each month (so we'd love it if you'd subscribe!) Those impressions are along the lines of:

[x] Was the newsletter well-written?
[x] Did the features make you wish to read or join the SBs enclosed?
[x] Are there segments you dislike or find boring?
[x] Are there new segments you'd like to see?
[x] Which segment is your favorite? Your least favorite?
[x] Are you / would you currently subscribe to the thread as it is currently publishing material?

Not all of these questions need to be answered at any given time, though those in green are more important to SB Crew as publishers than the others. And even if your thoughts are not on this list, we welcome them with open arms, even if you have never before read the newsletter!

This will include a small tag of one month of storybookers for opinions.

You could include the new storybooks that have appeared each month? Like ‘in December 2017 so-and-so created this storybook’?
Mmm, teatime. I fancy reviews and chips.

@Danni88 brings up a good idea. It would essentially be an advertisement for each and every new storybook in the month, and would be a step up from the section for SBs that could use more attention.

I agree with both @Danni88 and @Sheytato. And I believe it would encourage more creation in the line of storybooks in our community. You can expect it in the February edition!

Not only that but Personally I lose track of which one of them are the new ones that came in. The new ones get mixed in with the ones that are already made and posted on.

@Danni88 @XxXTheSwordsmanXxX we implemented the New Books on the Block! What are your thoughts? Did it help/is there anything you think we should change or add?

Based off what someone told me, I've been wondering... Does anyone find the SB genre poll useful? It usually gets about twenty votes a month (divided by votes per person, that means more or less seven people vote per month), but does anyone actually look at the previous month's results to decide for which genre they plan on creating an SB?

I noticed that the newsletter hasn't been published in a while. I have time and am willing to publish the newsletters. I was wondering if I could join the team and make it active again?

@Lives4Christ24 —> We publish every month on the 6th. That said, if you’d like to help write with us (which so far has been Storybook Crew (read: moderators) and it’s leaders, PM me with a mock blurb imitating the “Many Posts! Handle It!” section of the previous newsletters this year.

SB Crew will review the article and I’ll send you the link to our newsletter pad for next month or so.

BTW, Lake changed to @LakeOfCancer, LadyLizz changed to @Ladybird and emolemon changed to @LemonTheDorkyPanda. Just thought I’d let you know because you had their old usernames on the tagging list.

@Danni88 they actually didn't have me on the list, technically my SB was abandoned cause no one cared, so they have a need to mention me. But thanks for saying so even if they didn't.
