Aley's Poetry Exchange 6th-13th: Sign-Up Ends the 6th!

8 posts in this topic.

  1. Welcome to the Poetry Exchange

This poetry exchange will be between the 6th and the 13th during the camp week. What happens in a poetry exchange is that a bunch of poets get together and toss their poems into a hat, different poets pull out different people's poems. If each person or most people put in 2 poems, then everyone pulls out two poems, if most people put in 1 poem, then people pull out one poem aside from those who put in more. Everyone is limited to 2 poems tops. The poets then review those poems that they pulled out.

Without the metaphor, you post a link to your poem as your statement that you want to sign up for the exchange. It has to be a poem published on YWS through the Publishing Center so it can get typical standard reviews. You will be assigned a random person who also submitted a poem. A link to that poem will be sent to you, and you are in charge of reviewing it before the 10th, but as late as the 13th. When we hit the 10th, any poems without their reviews will be reviewed by a party of helpful reviewers; those who volunteer to help me review everything that didn't get a review. And that's an exchange.

    Sign Up Requirements

You may sign up with one or two poems.
To sign up, post links to those poems.
If you want to be a helpful exchanger, let me know in private or in your post, up to you.

I see no reason to celebrate the random timing of natural events by eating poison and singing.
