School started on Wednesday—I had my summer homework done, but other than that wa unprepared, haha. I’ve got 5 AP classes, and one of them is AP Art which expects us to put out one quality art piece a week, and that’s really hard for me to balance with the academics, yikes. Creative writing and English Lit are the only things to save me this year.
It really is time for school again, isn't it?
It used to be (like a year ago this time), I'd be thrilled. And get a couple of C's on quizzes? No problem - I'll do better tomorrow! Now it's the opposite. If I get a 70 or sometimes even 80, I'm a failure. How could I do so well on the practice test and then almost flunk the mastery? How could I have been so stupid? I should've repeated the lesson or done another practice test.
Then it puts a cloud over my head for the rest of the day, and I can't get anything else done because I feel like a total failure.

My overall composite score was a 24 (on a range from 1-36), and surprisingly Math was a 27, Science was 25ish, English 24ish, and Reading 22ish (I'm going off of memory here from science on, I don't have my results with me right now).
I did some studying, and I'm above the state (my state) average, the national average, and 43 other states' average! If I remember correctly, I improved about 2-3 points on my composite from the summer before my freshman year!
I'm planning to take it again my senior year, and hoping to improve by at least 2-3 points on my composite (and especially in Reading and English; I ran out of time during on both of those, so I'll have to work on that). It would be nice to be in the upper 20's range (and maybe possibly hit the 30's, but that's more of a far off goal?).
The University I want to attend right now has an ACT acceptance rate of 18-25, so I'm feeling pretty good about that too!
This has kind of given me a little boost on high school work, and I'm doing okay at the moment.
Here are my other grades so far of the courses I haven't completed, and how many lessons I need to finish in each -
English (Literature) - 90.0% (38 lessons)
Algebra II - 91.5% (29 lessons)
Government - 90.6% (10 lessons)
So if I do roughly 2-3 lessons a day and work some over Spring Break and the weekends, I'll be done in time. See! Not so bad... ;-;

Three essays due by Thursday. It's currently Tuesday and I haven't even started the third one. I'm going to be working as hard as I can for the next...2-3 nights. Let's hope I finish them, and that they'll be good enough to get an A, or B.
My grades so far with less than 50 days of school left are as follow -
English (Skills) - 93.6% (set in stone)
English (Literature) - 91.8%
Algebra II - 92.7%
Government - 90.3%
Spanish II - 90.2%
The one I'm actually worried the most on is Algebra II, just because I still have 32 lessons to complete which is like 10 lessons behind where I'd feel comfortable being. It normally takes me at least a week to get past the hard lessons (and then a day for easier ones). I'm just hoping I can finish out the school year with 90's and above for all my classes. (That was my goal at the beginning of the year, but I've been backsliding lately.)
