always too far
and too silent
i learned how to love from a distance
never enough
is this violence?
in this drought one small word’s an oasis
i keep waiting for someone to find
all the love that i leave left implied
unsatisfied
in this dry land
still we learn to survive, low supplying
starving our hearts
on this white sand
we swallow it up while we still can
i keep waiting for someone to find
all the love that i leave left implied
learned how to love off of nothing
think it’s why i would starve to feel something
my appetite 's nonexistent
all these waves leave me sick to my stomach
i keep waiting for someone to find
all the love that i leave left implied

A/N: Before leaving a review, please listen to the song here, where I have recorded it with my singing and guitar playing.
wow, I have listened to the song a few times now and your voice is absolutely insane. Like, it is the most beautiful voice I have heard in a long time. I am going to need to listen to more of your songs, because this was something truly, truly unique.
From what I could understand, this is about emotional withholding portrayed as a drought. You learned to survive on love that was so scarce it starved yourself into a numbness, and you're still waiting for someone to notice everything you never had the nerve to say out loud, all the love you have but never knew how to show. It is devestating and I just want to reach out and give you a virtual hug.
this part is beautiful on its own, but the way you sing it sent chills down my spine, and made me want to cry. Everytime you sing it, it gets sadder, following by the soft humming which gives it such a lingering sadness and twinge of longing.
there is nothing to critique here, i am truly in awe, sound! <3
Thank you so much <3
It's really impressive, your voice the melody and the lyrics are beautiful. On a first listen the guitar threw me of a bit when it would loudly twang, but I thought the rest of the guitar playing was really good, keep it up (thumbs up)
unfortunately I am unable to listen to the recording as I am on my school computer, but I thought I may give my opinions on the lyrics.
so number one I really love this ^^ I don't usually review lyrics, but I do review poems so I think it's sort of similar? I usually stay in prose though so I know how to review this stuff haha.
okay I feel like this is a typo unless it's not, because then i'm sorry, carry on.
This is my favorite line, because I feel like it conveys a deeper meaning than just "love is care."
It shows that love can make you hurt, almost like withdrawal, and you need it, you can't go on without it.
Anyway I have to go, I wanted to write more but I think this is super amazing, I wish I could hear your singing.
with love,
yuuki :3
