The Difference Later

In poetry

Walking down the street,
I see a little girl smiling up at me.

Four years old,
blonde hair,
blue eyes cold,

So sweet,
Young,
And innocent,

But,
One day,
Reality will reach her.

And everything will change.

Little boy,
Oh so cute,

Laughin' and playin,'
With his little toy bulldozers,

But,
One day,
Reality will reach him-

He will run into a big "bulldozer,"
And it will be how he decides to handle it,
That will,
Change everything.

Woah.

And I say that because... THIS IS POWERFUL!

Society molds children into adults in a really nasty way sometimes, and this, in all its simplicity, is a wonderful way to tell the tale. I really like it. :D

This is a good poem, and I like the meaning behind it, but I think it could use some work on the flow and beat. Hope this helps, sorry it's short.
