Then in a blink of an eye, it has gone back to its perfection
Immediately replaced by the shouting of my parents in the kitchen
They call out for me, as I let go of the weaving that is my world
Opening my grip on the reality, which brutally unfurled
The silk on my friend reddening with blood, eyes filling up with ash
As she fall away from my grip, back into the TV’s display of a car crash.

Hi, here for a review of this piece of work. I would like to say that the poem was very different in a really good way. This is the first time I have seen this kind of writing style and I absolutly love it. I have to say that I did kinda anticipate what the end would kinda be like based on some foreshadowing prior and just knowledge as it seemed like the author was stuck in her head in a different reality that they made up. I do this all the time when reading a book or listening to music or watching tv/ a movie. I like to day dream often when I get really interested into something and becuase of this it was very easy for me to understand the poem and where the author was coming from so I had figured before it even ended that it was based on a daydream or alternate reality thought up in the authors mind based off of a book or movie/tv show. I really liked the writing style and the uniqueness of it makes it really good and interesting which peeks the minds of readers. The poem was good and flowed. I do kind of think the font is a little to distractingand while I like how the different statements are in different fonts I do wish that the fonts were a little more different and more pleasing to the eye, but other than that I loved the poem and the meaning. There was lots of good imagery and it just was very interesting to read. Thankyou for writing I hope to be able to read and review more soon.
This poem was... interesting to say the least. While I did enjoy the twist ending and all, there are some things that confuse me. First the elephant in the room, the big to little text at the beginning. Why was this done for? Its sort of jarring to read and feels sort of wonky and out of place especially in a poem like this? To me at least, it kind of made it harder to read the poem and made it less flattering as Casanova said in her review. I feel like the big text was maybe meant to show emotions or shock? If this was the case try instead maybe using more emotionally charged words or phrases to really show shock since making the text bigger can throw other readers off.
Another thing is the rhyming, at first, the poem sort of had a rhyme but slowly faded out of the poem? I feel like since you often criticize people for not having rhymes in their poems plus your first poem having a rhyme that you really prefer rhyming poems? I would say if this was your intention for this poem to make it rhyme to go back and fix it the rhyme from the "Then in the blink of an eye" and forward from that since that's when the rhyme seems to disappear.
Also, one final thing although this is more subjective the twist/ theme is a little confusing? While I got the twist it did take me a few times to read the poem again before I fully understood it. While I think poems should make someone think about how they interpreted the poem and how they saw it in their perspective I still believe that anyone should be able to understand a general theme or surface meaning before thinking deeper about it. Maybe it's the wording or how the poem is formatted but I did feel a tad bit confused. Use this final criticism subjectively because this might just be me.
Anyway keep writing! Hope I could help a bit
If my horrible police and awfully mean reviews hurt anyone, I%u2019d be glad to know why. So, yes; the police is meant for waves of feelings. Since, when you usually have a strong feeling, it begins as a swollen balloon, once exploded, it slowly becomes smaller and smaller, until the end. I tried representing that, but apparently, I failed. So, I%u2019m unsure how to put it, but the poem is meant to rhyme all along. I think it%u2019s probably the huge letters.. because every single sentence actually rhymes. And yes, the thing at the end (otherwise known as the twist) is meant to make you think. I%u2019m awfully sorry if it left you confused or irritated, but, I don%u2019t really like poems who gives out their message so clearly and easily. You see, I%u2019m a big fan of poems that make you ThInK
Sorry if I sounded mean in any way, I just wanted to try to help you out to improve your poems! And no your reviews aren't hurtful, I was just saying is if you're going to say other people use rhyme schemes I was just trying to improve your rhymes too. Sorry again if I sounded mean
Heyo, Silvermoon, Casanova here to do a review. Let's get to it.
Now the first thing I would like to talk about is how you do your poem. The way it goes from bold to small letters, to me, is less than flattering, and although I think what you're going for when you do this is an increased affect and shock- it does exactly the opposite for me. It's sorta hard to keep reading, and I couldn't tell at first if the bold was one section and the small letters on the side was another, so that took me a minute to comprehend. Anyway, onward.
The next thing I would like to talk about is content here. You do an okay job at telling us about the questions that a lot of us ask ourselves on a daily basis, but the thing I'm not really getting out of this is uniqueness. I'm not really seeing you're personal flair to this or anything, which to me was a disappointment.
The final thing I would like to talk about, the switching of styles. You start by doing this "what if thing" in the first person setting with a lot of "I's"and "what if's" and the it seems like the latter part becomes an entirely different style, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but is something I would recommend staying away from.
Anyway, all in all I think you have an interesting poem idea that I would like to see brought forward.
Keep on doing what you're doing
-Cas
That was certainly an unexpected plot twist!
The use of different font sizes has great potential. I guess in this case it express the high wave of emotions the speaker feels, between refusing to accept reality and facing it. Then reality prevails when the size becomes normal and they just are forced to admit it is all true.
The first verses have some kind of rhythm, that slowly fades away. Don't know if it's intentional or not, if not it could have worked well with the rhymes. You use good rhymes, a strong rhythm could have lead to many possibilities.
That's what I think! See ya!
