By now, if you’ve gotten this far your probably wondering who I am. My name is Society. Strange name? So I’ve heard, that’s not really what I’m here to talk about. My name is the least of my problems in life. Actually my name is just a label, one that I was given at birth and haven’t changed since. It’s like that for all of us, but hey that’s not what I’m here to babble about today.
Well, it’s Valentine’s Day as you know. Love all around and in the air. Honestly, I could care less. And honestly, it kills me inside knowing I’m alone. Not cause of Valentine’s though, that’s just me in general.
I’m not what you’d call hot or anything like that, you know this especially if you read my last post. But I’ve had boyfriends, and they didn’t turn out to well. Romance isn’t really my thing. Neither are emotions either, my family isn’t much of the feely touchy kind. More like screaming across the house every single moment.
But surprise, surprise. The fat girl who has trouble with her feelings has had boyfriends. Yup, plural I know. Even more of a surprise. And guess what? They were online, great… Yeah I know what you’re thinking. Of course it’s like that, and how pathetic can this chick get? I’ve gotten over it, trust me. I was foolish and young… well make that foolish and younger.
My love life also sucks for a 16 year old, well at least I don’t have like 4 or 5 different ex-boyfriends that lasted less than a day. They lasted a year each. A pretty decent time for the modern era of millennials I’d like to assume.
Valentine’s Day is quite strange and I’ll just say it, I’m such a Debbie Downer, Negative Nelly, Negative Nancy about it. Choose the label though, on the house. My relationships are probably just as bad as everyone else’s. But if I do say so myself, I’m quite the catch then f you catch my drift…
Please ignore all these pathetic things I say, I swear most of the time I wonder why I can’t keep anything in a straight line.
Either way yeah, that’s it. I’ve had boyfriends, I’ve had complications. I still keep in contact though, I talk to one of them a lot actually. Just recently I’ve started to distance myself away from my last boyfriend.
Is it really even right to call him that? It feels so strange to actually, Nathan’s more of just like my best friend. He’s not my ex-boyfriend, well that’s not what I think of when I think of him. Neither is Tyler… well maybe a little. He is a bit desperate at times, but that’s not just a teenager thing.
Nothing is really if you think about it. Love lives are pretty similar throughout the ages. They get more complicated as we go. But in all actuality they are pretty much the same. So much wondering if they like you and crushing on people. People act like teenagers are horny and irresponsible, when come on if you know a teenager you’re pretty sure they are not all bad. You’ve probably met your fair share of terrible adults to. Every bunch has the bad apples of the tree.
Well I’m not sure where I’m going here, I’m just rambling. But it’s nice to say these, to say something about anything. I don’t mind being single and yet at the same time I do. I’ve had boyfriends and I’ve had… alright Valentine’s Day’s?
I’m not really the mushy type of girl, but I am a romantic in a sense. I’d love to be swept off my feet, but that’s not how it goes anywhere. I swoon and hope for the day my prince (or princess) will come. Though just between us, I’m pretty sure I’m good living in a house alone with a roommate or something. Got to love that Netflix and Chill. (No not the meaning people have given that phrase)
Well onto Valentine’s Day in general: people give away a lot of store bought things, my twin and I give out homemade chocolate to both teachers and students instead. Sad thing is, this year our chocolate place closed down. We had to go to another place and the lady gave us Hershey’s. She ordered Hershey’s and bagged it herself. She also upped the price and then lowered it immediately just to make the sale. Jesus, capitalism much?
Well here was the problem with this besides the price: you can’t use Hershey’s for Chocolate Bark trust me. It comes out melted after touching it for a few seconds with your fingers and was way too sweet. It was not up to our standards. Well that was why we had to just give white chocolate with thin mints to teachers instead.
I still feel bad about it, but people were happy I guess. The students were especially happy about the reject Hershey chocolate though. I ended up putting it in a gallon bag, and bringing it to school the next day to let the 10th grade class bag their own chocolate. Did I forget to mention we put edible glitter on it to? Yeah seems pretty awesome at the moment. Well that part at least. I like to at the very least give teachers the option of choosing between milk chocolate with toffee pieces and white chocolate with… well thin mints or toffee or at Christmas peppermint.
I know this post isn’t much, but everyone’s Valentine’s Day or preparations are the same every year. People buy flowers (usually roses, and if you plan on getting me some, I like yellow ones), they buy store bought chocolate in heart shaped containers and pretty strange fillings, restaurant reservations are filled up, cards about loving someone are sold and lots of money for children sometimes to. Oh yeah, don’t forget all those new engagements and then 9 months later usually, a baby. Fun fact November has the most children born out of most of the months… Well I think so, if it’s true, then yeah you know why now.
Well Happy Valentine’s Day, Good Luck with whatever you do whether it be for a cliché romance or for something else that's pretty cliché. Everyone’s got a thing, because like it or not February 14, 2016 has affected us in some way.

I have already mentioned that you've got voice in his piece, so I don't really need to say much else about that. The same basically applies here. We learn a bit about your character in a natural kind of way and it feels like an actual post. Nothing much there has changed. (That's a good thing!)
Now for content.
Considering that it's Valentine's Day, your character comments on... Well, you know, the stuff that that day is about. They go on to say that not all teenagers are bad, along with relations to the topic. You also prove that your character isn't love-crazed or anything (like doing anything for that kind of thing), which can make it relatable for people who aren't like that.
It seems a bit rant-ish, but that was probably your point. I don't have any problem with it. Though, it does bounce around slightly, it isn't in a way that is distracting. In a way, it's kind of necessary. It makes it seem more real and such.
Really, not much else to say about this. It's a good part. I am officially following your story now, I guess, so look forward to more input from me!

Also if you've noticed that this review seems a bit awkward, that's because it kind of is. Romance-gushy stuff and any sort of mention of it isn't really my area (or reviewing/reading/writing), so my review probably won't live up to my expectations. I totally agree with this whole thing. How stores and such make all this money by selling all of these cheesy items that people buy for each other. They should not feel like they have to do all this one time a year, but all year round
Now for a few things I saw
I think you meant to put "couldn't care less".Many people people put that by mistake,but it is ok
Here I think you should just put 'because', not just 'cause'. I think it looks better this way
I really like this area. I, just being me, would word it like this however:

I think having it like that would really work better
Think you meant to put 'if' no 'f'. But this also troubled me a bit. Before she was real down on herself, calling herself a bad romanced fat chic who was sad and dated people online, and now she think she is a catch, so this character is very interesting and views herself in many ways I guess.
here I had a hard time understanding what you were trying to say. I think that depending on what was trying to be said, it should be worded like on of these:
People act like teenagers are horny and irresponsible, when if you know a teenager well enough and stick around with them,you’re pretty sure they are not all bad.
OR this:
People act like teenagers are horny and irresponsible, when come on when you were a teenager,you were pretty sure you were not all that bad.
This little area was confusing, but I guess you could change it a number of ways for it to fit, but that is up to you
Overall I think this was pretty cool! I feel like I can relate to Society in many ways, which I think is pretty cool! Hope to hear more from 'Society'! Keep Writing!
