I've never been good at relationships.

I'll be the first to admit,

It's simply because I am afraid.

Afraid of trusting another person.

Because I've tried before,

And the thin walls came crashing down.

I thought they were strong.

The thing is,

Allowing someone to know all of you,

And I mean every inch of you,

Is not something to be taken lightly.

"You never know until you try."

But what if I am afraid to try?

~

They describe love as beautiful.

With eloquent language,

And endless emotion.

I've learned there are more sides of

This so called love.

The laughter doesn't last.

Stay,

Means nothing.

Watching the one you love,

Love someone else.

~

Is love beautiful?

I'm not so sure.

Scary?

Yes.

Powerful.

~

There is one side of love,

That I have no experience in,

Yet I am living it.

Loving someone,

But being afraid.

Pure beauty. I love how you describe the different areas of love, the way it can be a scary thing as well as a beautiful thing. I personally am in the same boat. I hope that you eventually find your way through these dark times and use them to help you in the future. I wish you the best of luck.

Anyways, down to reviewing! I love the narrative-ness of the poem. It fits well with the concept and has a great structure. Honestly, I don't have much to critique because it was so well written! Great job, I look forward to reading more of your works!

First let me say there is a lot of truth that goes into this, not many people get or understand the emotional stress people go through when loving someone else and I believe that this poem really demonstrates that.

I personally love poems that can connect to real life experiences, and I believe you did this throughout out the poem demonstrating that not everyone see's love as something that's always about romance and having fun all the time, but it can be an emotional struggle to earn someone's trust and to let them know you like an open book.

(Im really not a huge hitter on grammar mistakes but I really can't spot any)

Overall, a really great poem and Ill be looking forward to seeing some more of these poems.

Hey, Chips here with a review.

"I've never been good at relationships.
I'll be the first to admit,
It's simply because I am afraid."

I liked the opening sentence, it was actually a courageous statement despite following on to state that you are, "afraid". I think a comma after the word, "because", would have fit well as a pause for the reader pause also and take in the confession of your fear. It also adds a bit of intensity and tension, which is great to build up sometimes.

"Afraid of trusting another person."

This line was fine, although the word, "Afraid" was quite juxtaposed with, "afraid", in the previous line. It looked, repetitive to have them so close together. Maybe continuing on the previous line like so;* ...because I am afraid
of trusting another person*
The enjambment would be of better use here.

"Allowing someone to know all of you"

This line wasn't worded well, grammatically. It should be written along the lines of, *Allowing someone to know you completely*. Something like that.

Overall, this poem has plenty of potential. I hope this review was of help to you.

Thank you very much, I'm always trying to get better!

I really loved this poem. I liked how it was vulnerable, and relatable. I for one am constantly hurt and afraid by the idea of love. Great job!

Thank you so much!!
