Clouds had begun to grumble, the sky was turning all grey, little
squirrels ran back to hide themselves, flowers no more seemed to look bright.
Yes, it was about to rain.
Rain is loved by everyone- It’s the symbol of happiness and love.
Almost everyone in the town was happy but Aradhya wasn’t.
She sat by the huge window panes of her house, looking at the little
drops of joys. No smile appeared on her face- She hated it, every bit of it.
She wanted to look away and hide herself. She wanted to run away from the
reality. Her face changed, tears rolled down her cheeks as she remembered her
past- her past with him.
Aradhya Singh was a dancer well known for her talent. She led a normal life like every other
girl of her age till she met Rahul Sharma- the love of her life. Things
changed- everything changed. She had fallen in love with that man with deep
brown eyes- so did he. She left her world for him. They eventually got married.
She was probably the happiest girl in the world and Rahul was the luckiest to
have her.
They loved each other immensely. She knew him just like she knew herself. She had begun living
the life she had always dreamed of.
Things changed drastically when Rahul didn’t return home from work one rainy day. “Heavy rain
caused floods and accidents” said the news reader. She was tensed- her forehead
showed lines of concern. Her eyes filled with tears when she received Ram’s
call, Ram was rahul’s bestfriend. Her tears weren’t those silent soft ones, it
was those huge and scary ones. She gasped for breath. She collapsed on the
floor.
She had lost every reason to smile- Rahul was dead. It was an accident that had taken his
life.
Its three years since Rahul died. Aradhya still weeps for his loss.
Seasons changed, people changed, she still sits there beside the huge window
panes looking out to the world, which no more belonged to her.

hey krish
well , i wanna say that i usualy don't review short stories , but your work is so attractive , especially the title
( maybe because it include my name ) , anyway i enjoyed reading your story so much .
ok so this story is so sad and full of emotions , it's so touchy .
i liked your way of writing the story , you have a very special touch of presenting the scene , then telling the stoty in a very interesting and attractive way , i found this part so sweet ''She was probably the happiest girl in the world and Rahul was the luckiest to have her.'' , i liked the imagery in your story , also the end was great , it shows how she still sad and remembring her husband even after he died , i mean she didn't forget him and continue her life , but the opposite , and that prouves how much she loved him , and still love him .
in general , so great , sad story , keep it up
smile:-)
Thaaaanks alot Smile!

Yes, the title has your name in it.
I'm glad you loved it :')
Thankyou so much for reviewing!
Takecare
you are welcome krish
I very much enjoyed this piece. By enjoy, I mean that it broke my heart. I like this piece very much. Thank you for bringing it here.
On to the nitpicking:
I don't think that your presentation was very emotional. I think that it would be more emotional if her back story were explained in a series of flash backs. Then we could see her remembering everything and we could be more suspended before we learn of Rahul's death.
Also, why did you choose this style of presentation? The breaks in the middle of sentences, and the double spacing is distracting. I would advise compacting it to traditional paragraphs, otherwise label it as a poem.
Thank you so much for the beautiful, sad story.
Thank you ulala8
i will definately keep those points in mind next time!
Short but sweet. Well not sweet.... It's very beautiful. I like how in just a few lines you captured Aradhya's love for Rahul. You're a great writer. My heart broke for her with the call from Ram and her huge, gasping sobs. Loved it.
Thanks alot Creativelywritten
I'm glad you got the emotions.
Thaaaaanks again!
This piece is lovely. Very romantic and desperate. I like how you had the flashback in the middle in a different font, that makes it easier to tell the mood has changed as well as the setting. I did notice a few grammatical errors and things that should be proofread. Here they are.
Errors I noticed:
#1 . In the fifth line, in between the words happy and but should be a comma.
#2 . In the seventh line I believe "little drops of joys." should be "little drops of joy." because "drops" already makes the raindrops plural.
#3 .Also in the seventh line, "on her face- She hated it" "She" should not be capitalized.
#4 .In the eighth line, the last word "the" doesn't have to be there. It is unnecessary.
#5 .In the second line of the flashback, "her age till she" should be "her age, 'till she". "till" should either be "until" or " 'till".
#6 .There are a lot of hyphens in this short, maybe you should fix this.
#7 .In the fourth line of the flashback, it says "so did he". Do you mean he fell in love with her? Or that he fell in love with another man?
#8 .In the fifth line of the flashback, you might want to add "man" in between "luckiest" and "to". Just a thought.
#9 .In the tenth line of the flashback it says "she was tensed". This does not make much sense. You should say either "she tensed" or "she was very tense".
#10 .In the twelfth line "rahul" should be capitalized.
#11 . Also in the twelfth line, the last word, "it" should be "they" in order to be plural.
#12 .In the thirteenth line, "huge and scary" should be "huge, scary".
#13 . Also in the thirteenth line, "was" should be "were".
#14 . In the fifteenth line, "an" should be "the".
#15 . In the third to last line "Its" should be "It has been" or "It had been".
#16 .In the second to last line, in between "changed," and "she" there should be the word "and".
#17 . In the last line, next to "panes" should be a comma.
Sorry I'm so picky! I just hope that what I said will help you! Please don't be offended by the number of things to fix, they're all tiny and mostly unnoticeable. Your work is very good, and I enjoyed reading it!
