Last Glimpse

She knew her day had come,

All she wanted was to see him,

To see him, for one last time,

Her dry weak lips murmured something,

Her eyes, still beautiful, filled with tears,

She had always managed to hide her fears,

But today she couldn't,

''Mother!'' he screamed and opened the door,

Silence.

Realised she was no more,

The lady who taught him the first words of love,

Was lying there, lifeless,

All she wanted was to see him,

One last time,

One last glimpse,

As his eyes filled with tears,

Deep down he knew,

She will live forever, in his heart.

HEY KRISH
your poem is so good , i love each part of it , it has a message , a very touchy one , the words are strong and meaningful .

"She knew her day had come,
All she wanted was to see him,
To see him, for one last time,
Her dry weak lips murmured something,
Her eyes, still beautiful, filled with tears,
She had always managed to hide her fears,

this par which is the beggining is well written , i mean it's catchy and rhymy .
ps : it's my favourite part in your poem

"All she wanted was to see him,
One last time,
One last glimpse,
As his eyes filled with tears,
Deep down he knew,
She will live forever, in his heart.

for this part , i think that you should remove " as his eyes filled with tears " and describe the son in another way , unless if you did this in purpose you know :

"Her eyes, still beautiful, filled with tears," -- "As his eyes filled with tears,"

the last line is amazing , it was a great finish to a great poem .

so , you did a great job , this poem is full of emotions , "" AMAZING "

smile :)

Hey Smile :)

You kept your promise :D
I can't think of any other line to replace that.
If I do, I will change it.

Thanks for reviewing.
Have a great year ahead!

Hello,
This poem is so beautiful. I love it when poems have a story. It was a touching emotional story that has a good outcome. Always look at the positive which was shown in the last line "She will live forever, in his heart."
My favorite line is "The lady who taught him the first word of love," because it relatable in a way. My mother was my first love and she showed me so much love.
It is a well written poem! Keep up the great work and have a happy new year!
I give it an A :)

Hey Krishnathulasi!
Firstly, this is a wonderful poem. You have managed to express the bond between a mother and her son through this poem. A mother's job is the most difficult job in this world. And she is an integral part of our life. And losing someone, so close to us is extremely heartbreaking.

Your poem is simple but it has so much meaning to it. The language you used is simple and easy to understand. The start, the body, the end- everything is really good.
I liked the last part of the poem :
"The lady who taught him the first words of love,

Was lying there, lifeless,

All she wanted was to see him,

One last time,

One last glimpse,

As his eyes filled with tears,

Deep down he knew,

She will live forever, in his heart."

This is yet another beautiful poem written by you and it is absolutely amazing! So keep up the good work and keep writing more!

Hi! Just a quick review on your poem.
Losing someone close to us, especially our mother is not easy to accept. This time the speaker expresses it by creating the character of a mother who was sick with her son. That is, the poet seems to divide the the poem into two parts. It's something different and can bring varieties in the poem if done neatly and thoroughly. If not, it would seem a bit odd for the reader to internalize it.

...But today she couldn't,['.' instead of comma]

''Mother!'' he screamed and opened the door,

Silence.

I think there is an abrupt change in this poem. Where I think it would be better if written like this:
'...But today she couldn't.

''Mother!'' he(the son) screamed and opened the door,

Silence.

Language: Simple, everyday language is used in short sentences.
Improvement
~Ideas can still be improved.
~I think you use excessive punctuation here. Almost every lines are marked with commas.
Overall, you are using a theme that is commonly heard. I think you can try to give uniqueness in the poem that can make your idea more prominent. Keep writing! :)
Kudos, cheers.

Hey Dreamwork :)

Thanks for reviewing this. I will surely keep these points in mind.

Ps: Happy New Year!
