I'm not into that squishy, mooshy, lovey-dovey crap. I like things dirty, morbid and untamed.
I like it when the criminal gets with the girl, and the girl helps him take the blame.
When they all fall together after a bloody battle; The cries of that one child, who just lost their mother.
To see the raw emotion, to feel the guilt in the emperor's eyes.
To know a whole city just fell, to one single guy.
Its the adrenaline, my friend. My heroine to say the least.
Without it life would be bland. I'd have no reason to be.
With no fairytales, dark lords or alien foes, I'd have to let myself go.
My inspiration comes from gore and blood-fests.
I don't ever settle for anything less.
The beauty we find within such things, can come off to people as kind of strange.
To see someone butchered on your television screen, can be a work of art if you really want it to be.
It doesn't take an iron stomach to view such things as these.
It simply takes an open mind, and satellite t.v.
What I guess I'm trying to say is, with all this new horror we're in for a trip.
And I'm writing this even though I'm fatally sick; In the mind and body, that is.

Anyways, love how you started. The whole "squishy, mooshy, lovey-dovey crap" part was so true and dead on. A few pointers are that maybe you'd want to add in some commas here and there, like
"Without it life would be bland." Add one after "it", I had to reread it because it was kind of choppy.
So bottom line, I like your insight on this. I agree, though a lot of squishy pieces are realyl nicely written, it can be used only so much times before you'd feel like kicking it and ripping it to shreds XD
