I see the same walls
with the same dry paint
and the same cobwebs
that secure the corners like glue.
As if the foundation would crumble
to the ground if they weren't there.
I see the same dust that gathers
on the chairs,
on the cupboards,
and in the crevices of the everywhere in-betweens.
I see the same pigsty that is this house
and simply come to realize
that it's messy.

Hello!
This poem is true in SO many ways! Life is messy and boring. Using life as a metaphor for messy I just really loved. It's also very simple and to the point. Yet the ending seems very short and kind of blunt. It all leads up to something, and then it just stops at the end, but I bet you can find a way to zest up the end! Anyways, great job with this poem!
I really like this. Simple language is used and it is quite easy to understand the reasoning behind what you wrote. I think you are bored if you really feel this poem. If you don't then just change the furniture once in a while. I know. I'm messy too. I have a lot of things lying on my desk that I don't really need or want, but I'm too lazy to throw them away. Yes, life is messy and it's really hard to bring it back to track.
Nice Poem and I hope to hear more from you!
This is a really simple and to the point poem, which I absolutely love !! I really like how you didn't bring in any concept of 'life' in the poem and only in the title do we know the messy house is a metaphor for messy life, so it let's us focus on the poem and keep the life bit at the back of our heads so we can make sense of it at the end. The best thing about it being straight forward is that it let's people realise what life is (its a mess) without it being confusing. Sometimes having double meanings and cryptic sentences do work but sometimes simplicity and straightforwardness is the best way to get a big powerful message across. Its super affective and super clever!
Keep writing great things like this.

As someone who ends up cleaning the house often I can relate to the visual aspects of the poem very well. As someone whose life just never seems to stay in the place I want it to, I can even appreciate the imagery even more. I really enjoy how simple it is, the words are straight to the point and there is no extra fluff that some people do when they write poetry. Life is a mess, and often people don't get that and get frustrated by the mess. Even when you clean it up, the way life works is that it will always be a mess in some way shape or form. The best thing to do is just realize it and get on with life.
Really, loved this and look forward to checking out more of your work.
this is just really beautiful, just simple yet affective, love it.
