"What is the actual difference,
Between socks and shoes,
Using logical thinking,
None will win or lose.
Nobody really thinks,
that they are the same,
But when they actually are,
Everyone hates the game!"
Mr. Sock: Gah! Really? Are we the same?
Mr. Shoe: Well, Yeah.
Mr. Sock: No, you are dirty, you step on mud.
Mr. Shoe: Well, you step on the porch floor as well.
Mr. Sock: No, seriously.
Mr. Shoe: Umm, yeah.
Mr. Sock: Well, you are really hard to put on. Every time, we have to tie your shoelace up there.
Mr. Shoe: But then, we would not slip off.
Baby Shoelace: Yeah. I have a lot of use and purpose. Like you, you do a lot as well.
Mr. Sock: Well, I keep the owner's feet warm.
Mr. Shoe: I do not know what will solve this problem.
Baby Shoelace: Okay, let's switch jobs, then we will see how important we are, as a team!
After the switch...And the chaos...
Mary: La la la, time to go out. Put on my shoe first, then the socks.
Mr. Shoe: It is so cram in here. Let me out!
Mr. Sock: AH! Mud! Grass! Water!
Mr. Shoe: What's going on? Why are we jumping up and down? I cannot see.
Baby Shoelace: I'm like a queen or maybe a king! I'm resting. I'm sleeping. *snores*
Mary: Home!
Mr. Shoe: Finally we are home!
Mary: Into the washing machine you go.
Mr. Shoe: Hey! Not me! Ahh! I'm dizzy!
Mr. Sock: I'm the one who is suppose to go into the washing machine!
Mr. Shoe: Yeah!
Mr. Sock: Alright! SWITCH BACK!
They switched back and...
Mr. Sock: Finally, it is better.
Mr. Shoelace: Yeah, me too!
Mr. Sock: There is a difference between us.
Mr. Shoe: Yep. There is a difference.
Baby Shoelace: Hey! Where did my shelter go? *faints*

Holy cow this was funny! It's very true shoes and socks are equal. *giggles*.
I definatley see this as a charming, adorable, and good children's book. With the rhyming and the lesson it would fit that audience.
The message I see is everyone has a role, that role being no better than another's, and nobody else can do that role as well as you can. It's a sweet lesson.
Anyways good job and happy review day.
