Flowers for tears...

E - Everyone

In Poetry

(For those who are in grief)

---

I know that my grief runs deep,

It acts like a sword that pierces my heart,

Like fire that burns out a forest,

I know, because it hurts.

---

Breath after breath,

It doesn't go away.

Day after day,

It still hurts.

Tear after tear,

It breaks inside.

Tear after tear,

It is not done yet.

---

When will it stop?

Time, they say,

Heals everything.

I do hope so.

---

I believe that

Where my tears dropped,

Flowers will grow,

And it will bloom.

---

I believe that every grief will end,

And I want to say this:

"I believe that your tears will become flowers."

Flowers for tears.

---

I want your well-being,

I want your tears to become flowers.

Do not lose hope.

I believe in you.

Hello, Sylvanus! Valkyria here leaving a review for you!

This is a short poem, but there's so much emotion packed into it. The prose is simple and straightforward, but the metaphors and similes are so harsh. I think it works in this poem's benefit. Grief can be experienced in many different ways; it is such a complex emotion. The similes are beautiful, and the sword and fire fit so well. And I love the analogy of tears becoming flowers. It sends a nice message of beauty and hope. The pacing of the poem also feels natural. It starts out sad, but it ends in an inspirational way.

Well done on your work! I enjoyed reading it!

Thank you for your review, Valkyria, I really appreciate it. :D

Hey, it's Serrurie, here to review. This is honestly really beautiful, so there isn't a lot to say. But I'll try my best.

The Good Stuff
-You packed a lot of emotion into a pretty short poem. I could really feel the pain, and it honestly felt like it came out of one of those prose books.
-The words 'flowers for tears' feel like a hidden sort of analogy. When I read it, it made me think of how after the pain, you'll grow from it. And that's beautiful to think about.
-I really love the ending. It's great to see supportive poetry like this.

Room For Improvement
- Honestly, I think you did great. I see nothing you could improve on. (I'm not a big poetry fan most of the time, but I really enjoyed this!)

Overall Opinion
-This was really beautiful and I can't wait to read what else you come up with. Thanks for this poem :)

I wondered why we put villains in our stories when we have plenty of them in real life; then I realized that maybe we wanted stories where the good guy wins.
