Boxed

Boxed

Loving trust, we all must-

Jumble, mumble spurs of wonder
turn into a childlike hunger

Hollow sounds resound around
a tiny hole beneath
the ground

Bubbles pop rainbow clouds, castles, clowns
call to us we don't hear
the sounds they make
voices cheer

Squeezed shut, minds close, eyes dark
Heaven glows but no one answers
the door or plead
Our march
goes on

Wish-wash, splish-splash, lips mash
twitching thoughts inching over
in frustration of what-is-what
our knowledge but finite
in everything
we touch

Poisonous venom spread red
across the veins in
our mute brains
spreading wide
all throughout
vast seas of
goodbye

To piqué the curiosities means
to satiate the thirst acquired
but since such a thirst
no longer exists
we'll wait here
until we are
all merely
expired

*I had more to this, but I trashed it. Tell me if you want/need more.*

I like your poem.

Jumble, mumble spurs of wonder
turn into a childlike hunger

Bubbles pop rainbow clouds, castles, clowns

Squeezed shut our minds eyes close
All is dark
Heaven glows but no one answers

I think the length is fine.
Hopefully my suggestions help you.
Have a great day. Fiction
