This is a very cute and cozy little poem! Lovely imagery throughout.

This poem actually reminds me of a stray cat that my family ended up taking care of. Or more so, her kittens. They were small but so energetic and absolutely adorable. That, and the book named Hatchet. The child in the story gets in a plane crash, and survives but must hunt for food and build a shelter. He survived. Tis all I have to say. I enjoy the warm feeling the poem gives off.

I sure love the way that this flows. That’s probably what I like the most. It has wonderful imagery as well, which I really enjoyed. I feel like I can truly see what is going on in this poem. I love the feeling I get when I think about this kitten. She doesn’t know what’s going on, and she is just enjoying the moment. I can sure learn something from this kitten.

It's a beautifully crafted piece. With the faint discription of the kitten to her journey of trying to survive and then finally ending it with her falling asleep, nicely done!
Though, 'Serene beside the still river', both the words still and serene draws the idea of a silent and peacefulness, so it kind of stuck me. Might be my preference in poetry!
But overall the vibes of the poem was calm and seemed like a sneak peek into the lost kitten's life. I hope you've a great day/night ahead!
