Warrior's fanfics

A/N Extremely rough draft. All help is wanted first short story ever  and I want to get better :)

The stream of silver as the lone tabby curled up in her damp home; beside the cluster of rustling cans outside. A large stick clamped tightly in her jaw as she began, two breaths, one push. And so it repeats until three small kits nuzzle up beside her. One creme kit, a girl, with large blue eyes lay asleep next to her tail. The other, a boy, with swirls of silver with silver eyes to match devoured the rich milk her mother held for him. Lastly, the smallest , a girl, with a raven's wing fur and small green eyes laid curled closest to her mother's face purring loudly in a joyful bliss of her very own. The tabby mother decided then and there that her little's raven would be her name.

Talon moved seeing his love nestled up with his... His kits he padded softly inside the damp cardboard box a rat clamped tightly in his mouth. With a muffled reply " mourning Mist". setting the rat softly beside her face, smiling with pure happiness. Rubbing his mate's soft fur lovingly, his rough purrs filling he space.

Mist smiled tiredly " mourning love" she said and yawned softly " Talon look at our kits, look how perfect they are" she murrowed

Talon smiled lying down next to his mate and new family watching them as only a father can, with pride. " there amazing" he purred breathless.

Raven mewed crawling slowly to her daddy, her black fur blending into his, she looked up with still closed ears smiling.

Talon smiled bending down sending a raspy tongue across her fur licking her once.

Mist smiled taking a few bites out of the rat leaving half for Talon smiling, " there names are Storm for our son, Ivy for our little diva, and for your daughter Raven" she purred before falling into blissful slumber.

Thorn smiled repeating their names until he to fell asleep, his dreams filled with the adventures of his new family.

**** 5 moons later******

Raven beamed keeping pace with Talon, “ so what are lesson today? Hunting again?” she asked she loved that lesson, she caught a rat the last time.

Talon chuckled, “ Not today, I thought I teach you kits to fight” he meowed

Storm beamed bristling out his pelt proudly, “ Step aside sisters this is a guy thing” he joked

Ivy laughed “ weren't me and raven the ones that always pinned you down when we played?”

Storm laughed “ Yea, but I was the one that tricked you that dumpster diving made your fur shiny” he snickered

Ivy went silent she didn't have another comeback.

Raven laughed with storm as Ivy went silent, “ So where are we going to learn to fight?” she mewed

Talon smiled stopping abruptly “ here. Now I want to see where to start so one by one you'll show me what you have” he mewed. “ Ivy you first”.

********************

Talon laughed chasing after his little girl watching her soar like her name as they played, Ivy and Storm wanted to spend the day with their mother learning about herbs.

Raven laughed chasing after her father bunching the small muscles in her legs pouncing up landing on his back side pulling herself up she balance herself as her father still ran. “ Talon! Look “ she squealed giggles erupting

Talon grinned rolling her little girl over swiping her shoulder playfully.

Raven laughed batting a paw at his face “ I'm the greatest rouge alive” she mewed beaming, she wanted to be just like talon, to her he was everything. She was a daddy's girl through and through.

Talon grinned “ Oh you are, then I challenge you greatest rouge to a challenge” he said bunching his muscles for their fight.

Raven grinned the countless lessons Talon taught them race through her mind. Their fight was a movement of counter and offensive strikes, Talon started leaping to overpower her due to her size.

Raven beamed watching as he let an opening racing forward before he land sending a paw against his soft chest fur. Turning around to late.

Talon beamed at the skills, she reminded him of him when he was young. He raced sending a large paw down on Raven's shoulder sending her off balance.

Raven used the momentum to propel herself back to her feet grinning “ give up?” she mewed

Talon beamed “ Never” he mewed

Raven laughed launching on his back laughing , “ Talon what were you like when you were my age?” she asked

Talon looked up, his thoughts clouded as his memories raced back, “ Would you like to know who your father is? Your real father?” he asked

Raven stared puzzled, “ sure” she meowed

Talon nodded, “ First you need to know, that I was a killer. I killed elders, kits, the runts that never would cut training and I enjoyed it. I was my leaders best killer and his second in command. My leader, Bone hated the clans in the forest I told you before once and it was my mission to enter and find their weakness and report back, we were going to destroy every single one of them and rule. When I entered I met your mother and fell in love, I left my clan with the blood of my friend. I should have killed him but I couldn't kill my friend. Raven im telling you this so you know when I was your age, I was a different Tom. Your mother changed me.” he mewed

Raven was speechless, she never heard her father sound so sad. She knew only the strong Tom she loved with all her heart. Leaning down licking Talon's shoulder plate lovingly, “ its okay Talon” she mewed

Talon smiled looking up, “ its getting late, come on raven your mother's must be worried” he mewed chuckling, they could continue there game at home he thought already padding over.

Raven nodded enjoying the rise and fall of her fathers large muscles rolling underneath her, someday she'd be just like him.

****************

Talon stiffened as they entered there home, an all to familiar scent covered the area. Bone.

“ Raven, grab your brother and sister and run” he order setting her down, “ All get you when its safe” he said before racing off, he knew raven would obey him, she was his daughter through and through.

Raven let out an umf as she watched her father race off before racing for her siblings, herb lessons always took place at home. Her paws pattered against the asphalt as she ricocheted. Yowls echoed

“ Ivy! Storm! Let's Go!” she yowled. She watched as her sibling race out, blackberry leaves still hanging Loosely in their mouths.

“ Come on Talon needs us to go to the box” she murred already racing off listening to the patter as her siblings followed her lead, it didn't take long for them to enter the box. The box was an upturn box that belonged in their territory, Talon made it in case other rouges came to challenge him, they never won though.

**********

What awaited Talon was like a fox ripping his flesh to pieces. His Mate, her body laid slain by his once true friend, bone. Her once joyful naval blue eyes glossed over, no longer full of her love.

A large black tom turned to Talon “ I told you if you left I would come back, and I would kill all you loved. I told you this and you still left” he snarled “ well surprise my friend” he snarled the tome looked to the others “ Find the kits, you know what to do then” he ordered before racing after talon claws un sheathed

Talon couldn't think of his kits at the moment, if he could kill bone, he could save his kits. He pounced on bone knocking him to the side.

Bone laughed his eyes filled with playful murder, his claws raking across Talon's face.

Talon hissed feeling the small joy of his claws shredding down bone's shoulder.

Bone felt the blurred lines as blood loss took its toll, he needed to end this and beamed. Talon left himself exposed, he bunched his muscles and pounced knocking Talon off balance, without hesitation he ripped his claws over his soft underbelly and smirked as the once great Talon fell, his entrails hanging loosely out.

Bone smiled licking away the sweet blood before padding off to find his clan mates, today turned out to be a great day he thought.

**********************

The two toms chuckled as they followed the scents of the kits, it lead them to an upturn box. Their muscles were like coils of wires ready to be released. Rustling exploded behind them revealing Bone has arrived.

“ Scar, upturn the box. Were going to have a training session” he stated.

Scar, the brown tom nodded following the orders, the box upturned revealing three kits, he launched grabbing all by the holds in the back of there neck tossing them to the three.

Raven hissed moving to protect her siblings, her claws raking across the muzzle of the tom that dropped them leaving beads of blood below.

Bone chuckled “ Oh, I like her. Hawk, take her, Scar we'll leave you with your fun” He explained

The next moments would scar Raven for the rest of her life, she watched as the tom tore her siblings to shreds, she didn't realize she was yowling. The last thing she remember was white fangs lashing out onto her.

Raven was dead. Fallen was born.

Hey there! I love the Warriors series, so this was a really, really nice treat! :D
First of all, I loved the story! Somewhat morbid, but very promising as a story. I've read quite a few of the fan-fictions, and this one is definitely up there at the top! It's still a rough draft when it comes to grammar, but it has a lot of promise! :)
I know Magenta already mentioned this, but the beginning is a bit hard to grab onto with how you worded it. I wasn't sure if you were talking about a water source, the tabby, or the cans outside, so I couldn't give you some examples of sentences to try.
Before we go any farther, I'll go ahead and warn you that editing is a personal passion, and as such I can come off as a 'grammar Nazi'. Please don't take any offense if I come off rude (typed letters have no emotion, unfortunately), and only change what you want to! I tend to offer example corrections because I lack the ability to explain how to fix it without giving an example. XD
In this line "With a muffled reply " mourning Mist". setting the rat", the dialogue should be something like 'Morning, Mist," (I assume you mean 'morning' as in rising of the sun instead of 'mourning' as in an sorrow over something or someone). 'Morning' needs to be capitalized because of the dialogue beginning--I think that's right, anyways--, and there's usually a comma before names. Also, I noticed you continued the sentence with 'the' (lowercase), but you ended the dialogue with a period. If I remember correctly, in order to continue a sentence after dialogue, the dialogue has to end with a comma. I know that's a lot for one sentence, but I think it might help correcting some other stuff.
A last note on the critical side is to not let sentences run on. I usually read my writing aloud, and if it sounds weird or if I run out of breath (since you take a breath during periods or commas, in my experience) then I end the sentence or insert a comma when needed.
Finally, the fun stuff! :D
I loved this!! Even though the story ended a little dark... but the good news is that the ending horrified me. That might sound strange, but the fact that I was horrified says that your writing drew me in, chewed me up, and spit me out! In a good way XD I loved the names, the characters, the word choice, and I can't wait to see what editing turns this work of beauty into! Editing always takes a long time--sometimes longer than actually writing the piece in the first place--but I hope you stick to it, and let me know when you finish or if you need me to go over it again! I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to see it improve :D
Keep writing, and good luck! :) Sorry this was so long....

Thanks you helped me a lot :)

Hello! Magenta here for a review!

I am really picky when it comes to review, so don't take it personally. ;)

To begin with the beginning...

The stream of silver as the lone tabby curled up in her damp home

I had trouble with this beginning. It's great that you wanted to start out with a description of the setting, but I wasn't sure what connected the two phrases in the sentence. You start our talking about the stream of silver, but then you jump to the lone tabby. Maybe you can fix this?

A large stick clamped tightly in her jaw as she began, two breaths, one push. And so it repeats until three small kits nuzzle up beside her. One creme kit, a girl, with large blue eyes lay asleep next to her tail. The other, a boy, with swirls of silver with silver eyes to match devoured the rich milk her mother held for him.

I would start this sentence differently or with a word between stick and clamped. Is creme the correct spelling for the color? I think you meant cream, but I'm not sure.
For the fourth sentence here, I believe that you repeated the word silver twice. I do that all the time, too.

The tabby mother decided then and there that her little's raven would be her name.

After there, I would put in a comma, and I would change little's raven.

I don't want to seem to picky, though, so I'll only do a couple more grammar things. I'm sure that once you reread it, you'll see what to change.

Scar, the brown tom nodded following the orders, the box upturned revealing three kits, he launched grabbing all by the holds in the back of there neck tossing them to the three.

I believe that you need to connect these two sentence together with something more than a comma. It seems that they could be entirely separate. But whatever you think is best.

Anyway, I love stories with animals. I think that you've done well, writing this, and I can't wait for more of your writing.

Hope this helped...

-Magenta

Thanks it helps a lot, and no worries I asked for as much help as I can and you gave me just that :)
