Act I, Scene IV – Immortal Glass:

I opened my eyes, but I was alone, and I was weak.

No, I wasn’t. I was laying in the bed, which was once white, but now was dressed in black and red. My clothes were on, even though I remembered vaguely of...

 Of what?

There is a body beside me. I look over, and the feeling of mortal shock reverberates throughout my body.

Beside me is my own body.

Naked, with a grimacing smile plastered on his face. His whole body was as white as a sheet of paper, his dark brown eyes staring into space as if left in a state of bliss. Every vein in his body was visible as tiny blue lines running like a road. On his lips and in his mouth was dried white foam.

There was no doubt about it that I was dead.

What has happened to me? Was it Erin? Wasn’t I with her in my final hours?

So what did that make me now? A ghost?

The ashen corpse turns his head towards me, glossy brown eyes staring into mine. Through foamy lips he screamed in a feminine voice.

A voice that sounded a lot like Alice’s.

“Are you even listening to me?” It shrieked. I jumped out of the bed and covered my ears, and on my hands I felt hot sticky liquid.

“Are you even listening to me? You don’t pay attention to me! You don’t love me! Are you even listening to me?”

 Make it stop.

Make the pounding stop.

“I don’t need you anyway! I don’t need you anyway! I don’t need you anyway! I don’t need you anyway!” My corpse kept shrieking the same line as if stuck on repeat. The once white walls now oozed black goo, covering the whole room in stinky black tar. It covered my feet, making it hard to move.

My corpse stared at me through my whole torture, and finally, it cracked its head back towards the ceiling and produced horrible cackling.

I trudged through the black tar, which took me several moments to finally reach the door. Tears spilled out of my eyes, blinding my vision. My ears were bleeding. I was tired.

But still, with every ounce of energy left in my body, I raced out of the motel.

And so it begins.
