I turned to face the monster who brought me to this awful place. I loved it, how could I not, it was my home but the place sent shivers up my spine. If I had any tears left, they would be falling towards the ancient wood floors. I had so many good memories here but they burned that day, they burned away as did my mother's life. I held on to some good memories that were had with my dad. I held onto those memories like a life raft in the sea of sadness. When he died shortly after my mother's death, that life raft was abandoned and I was left at the mercy of the waves of sadness. This house brought back those waves but this times the waves were a hundred times worse. They were a storm now. I could not avoid the pain I felt for years.

"I'm sorry that I brought this pain upon you. I did not know you would be affected in such a way. I can change it, I can make it a better memory." As he said those words, my eyes focused onto him. I saw my phantom for the first time.

He was positively gorgeous. His eyes shone like molten silver and his hair was the color of the moon at the bottom of the cycle, the new moon. His skin was fair and seemed to glow in the low light. If this was a monster, I wonder what a saint would be.

I gave my head a slight shake. Cool it girl. He is a phantom, not an angel. He is a monster. Plus, you cannot love a man you just met. I looked up and saw his face, full of hurt, looking down on me. He was so close to me. I looked away, my cheeks lit up like fire. He was so close.

He chuckled like i made a joke. Shit, I did, didn't I?

"You most certainly did. But why am I a monster? Have I done something to offend you to a point of you calling me a monster?"

"You caused me to suffer this much. And now your playing with my emotions. It is more the pain than the feelings but still they are both awful. You just continue to screw with me, like a cat playing with a mouse. It isn't a good feeling."

" But is it enough to call me a monster?"

"Yes. I believe it is."

"Then I am sorry. Let me make it up to you." He leaned towards me. My blush spread down to my neck. "Look around. Won't that make it better?"I looked around in confusion. What had happened? I thought he was going to kiss me. My heart sank, I wanted him to kiss me. I was excited, my heart-rate that was racing a second ago dropped far and fast. I wish he had kissed me.

I looked up and what I saw made me scream.

Probably the best chapter thus far. I love the imagery and the useof figurative language. The sentence "I held onto those memories like a life raft in the sea of sadness" was probably the best thing I've read in years. I love how well the phantom (not of the opera) was described. I also love how you said that if the phantom was a monster, you'd wonder what a saint would look like. I positively love the chemistry between the girl and the Phantom. I'm really excited to see where this'll go.

thanks. I'm so happy you liked it.

Hi! I'm here for a review.

"I loved it, how could I not, it was my home but the place sent shivers up my spine."

'Shivers up my spine' sounds cliché. I believe you can do better because your writing skill is amazing.

"Cool it girl."

Before the word 'girl', there should be a comma, implementing that there is a short pause.

"You caused me to suffer this much. And now your playing with my emotions."

Typo there. 'You're'.

That is all the corrections that I can give. Although I haven't read your previous chapters (which I am going to do so now), I find this chapter really intriguing. The ending left a cliffhanger which I'm waiting to uncover in the next chapter. Keep it up! I love this story.

I'm off to review your previous chapters~ Keep writing! This one was well done.
