By now, I've given up on you
Your pretty smile
Your soothing voice
Your gentle love
I've given up
At least now,
I don't feel ignored
Or unwanted
I'm glad to say:
I've given up on loving you
By now, I've given up on you
Your fluffy hair
Your cute smile
Your funny words
I've given up
No more talking
About dice or D&D
No more worrying
About your stupid mermaid girlfriend
I've given up on liking you.
By now, I've given up on you
Your nerdy wants
Your comforting words
Your love of music
I've given up
Mostly
Part of me still wants you
But I've got better things to focus on
I've given up on loving you
I won't give up on you
Your autistic humor
Your happy smile
Your intelligent speech
I won't give up
I still get butterflies in my stomach
Every time I see you
I know we're together
But... I can't help it
I won't give up on loving you

I not a very poetic person, but this is a very good poem. It has a very deep meaning and the person taking is obvious glad to finally be out of this relationship but they also miss their old lover. The rhyme scheme in this is also very good, and having the last stanza talk about the opposite of the others. It adds some variety and makes you think about the meaning of the last stanza.
Thank you! Have a wonderful day/night! (Sorry for such a late reply... I guess it didn't register that it sent or something)
It was incredible how far I understood you have given up on them yet you remember them you remember there every want need expressions of liking disliking it is just giving the view that even after giving up you are so invested in that one person like you can never forget them just the hope has vanished to be with them to be loved by them . The expression of emotions was great and everything was to the point.
Thank you so much!
Have a wonderful day/night!
Hello, there! Avi speaking

This poem is incredible. I understand this kind of desperate love, and I'm sure many others do too. I love the way you listed things you love about them throughout the poem. At first, you list them while you desperately try to give up on your love. But in the end, you gradually manage to come to peace with the fact that you're completely and irrevocably in love.
Incredible writing overall! I enjoyed it very much
I love your interpretation of this poem!!! I love it when the things I write are interpreted in different ways.
You saw this as being about the same person, whereas I wrote it about 3 people I tried to romantically pursue in the past year (the last of the first three being about the same person "Some Days" is about), and the last one being about my current person (Same person "I Want You to Be Okay" is about).
Thank you for the review!
Have a wonderful day/night!
