Sonnet for Tom from his elder brother the soldier.

Don’t worry dear brother, your time will come.
Do not rush yourself to manhood so soon.
Life’s not done, the battle is not yet won.
There is a place in the world for you too.

You just have to wait, but keep dreams in sight.
For life’s like a mountain which you must climb.
Although you have gear, the season’s not right.
And carefully now you must plan your time.

‘Tis like a battlefield filled with soldiers.
All with their own thoughts under one command.
You’re the commander your thoughts are the fighters.
You must take control so that they will stand.

Above all remember, always be strong.
Keep your eyes open, define right from wrong.

I'd be a quote vigilante. A literary Batman. Someone had better be quoting me now!
