Story of My Life

In Poetry (random whims)

Spoiler! :
I wrote this on the spot when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I wonder why it popped into my mind at that moment ...

I think my eyes are going square.

All I do is type and stare.

Do I have a life?

I think I do.

I think I’d better find it soon.

Maybe I should go outside;

Go to the beach and race the tide.

But first I need to finish this –

And that and this and that and this.

Do I have homework?

Possibly.

I’ll go and check in an hour or three.

What? That can’t be the time –

Last time I looked, it was half past nine!

It’s not that I’m lazy,

I’m just absorbed.

(And beginning to get extremely bored.)

Tomorrow I’ll regret it,

I know I will –

SO WHY AM I TYPING AND STARING STILL???

Talk about procrastiating Iggy. Not doing your homework by writing apoem about not doing your homework. Nice poem though. Really smooth. *awkward silence*

You should use that as one of your other school poems. Hurry up and post the ocean's call.

Yours faithfully,

Vicky

It was really cute, except this part didn't rhyme

So the flow got a little messed up right there, but it was still a good poem, good job!

I liked it. I think we all do that at least once. The rhyming was great. Keep writing! :D

haha, Ignis, hi!

Well, I'd love to give you a review but I just don't do poetry. I will say I enjoyed this, though. I thought it flowed nicely and had nice rhythm to it.

Keep up the great work (and post more soon!! *coughs*)

Tanya ;)

I enjoyed this poem. It was funny, very well-written and it really applies to me as well...

You probably wrote it because you were at home, sick and doing homework and also had to resort to sending a SPAM message to me that day. you also do have homework now =)

yeah a good read!
this defines skill of how a poet can rhyme on the spot!
well i'll give you a thumbs up on this! it is entertaining and i'll give you props for writing it while doing your homework.
by the way first do your homework and then write something so you can think on it twice.
good job on no grammatical errors

This was really good I enjoyed it a lot, the piece ran very smoothly and was really humorous and sounds like exactly what I'm doing right now. Oh yes I'm suppose to be studying for a geometry exam tomarrow but I'm on YWS. Haha thanks for posting I saw no errors in this and I enjoyed the way it was simple and straight! Thanks for posting,
Peace,
