The To-Do List

Get up, get dressed,
My day has just begun.
Looking at the to do list, I groan,
For this day promises to be fun.
The first thing to do is eat,
A very hearty meal,
On my plate there is no meat,
for I'm a vegetarian.
The next thing I do is feed,
Cows, horses, pigs.
My little horse Star
Is very fond of figgs.
Now I'll tidy up, and head off to school.
I'll have to hurry,
Being on time is a rule.
Once I get home,
And my homework's done
I get 30 minutes for a bit of fun.
Then, after supper,
I feed once again,
Clean up the table, do the dishes and then,
sweep, mop, scrub, dub.
I clean the floors,
and I clean the tub.
And then I finally flop into bed,
Lay on the pillow,
And rest my head.
For now, the to-do list is gone,
Till tomorrow
brings another dawn.

I love the poem :) you did a great job capturing the annoying feeling of having yet another long day. It's cute and fun to read, but seems to stop abruptly. That's just my opinion though, I seem to think everything needs to either be five pages long or two sentences. Good job, I really like it, it's adorable :).

Well, this is a fairly... rigid poem. Which is not a bad thing, because that's kind of the whole point of the poem (I think) to make everyday seem the same, boring, perfectly structured and well... rigid.
So, I think you did a fairly good job portraying the feel of the poem.
However, I do think that you should start every line with a capitalisation. It just looks better that way.

And also, I don't think you need the hyphen there.
Well done with the poem! :)

It's almost perfect except for these mistakes:

    for I'm a vegitarion.
- it's vegetarian.

Now I'll tidie up, and head off to school.
- it's tidy.

That's all... Hope it helps! Happy writing. :)
