Hey whatcha! Incoming review!

I don't have any opening words soooooo let's get on the review!

I'll start out with critique first. My only complaint would be with the line

But that's not losing,
that's looking.
I know it ties in with the "That's not looking,/ that's lost." line but I don't understand the context as to how it was to be used. It works much better in the second stanza than the first.

But that's all the critique I had for this poem, let me praise your work. The use of the suggestion box is perfect. The use of "someone else" isn't even in the poem but it brings some distance into the poem. I usually like some sort of distance in a heavy poem so it gives the reader room to feel the feelings you're writing. And searching for another person can be as intimidating and complex as searching for yourself.

The beginning lines for each stanza are also brilliant.
I thought I knew what lost is
and
I think I know what lost is
They encapsulate two different points in time where you think you know what lost is. The first one is kinda like you thought you knew what lost meant but now that you are, you know that you were dead wrong. And the other line is like you're now lost and you think you know what it is, but it's retrospective in the now.

But that's all I have for today. I hope you found some of this useful! I always enjoy a good screenshot poem and you delivered! Anyway byeeeeee<3

This poem is short, amazing and sweet, it's something that is worth reading and something that i would read more since it is so relatable with reality because people do feel lost and to be honest i sometimes do too.
So don't stop writing, i look forward to more of your works!

It's Forgotten Paradise, why did I do that.... I don't do reviews a lot anymore because I'm spamming memes or just too plain lazy to get on here and review work but who cares-

It's really good as everyone else has said, of course
I agree with waywardxwallflower about the google correction, its very creative and a new idea to do with poetry to someone else then yourself about your comparing yourself to someone else.

But these line in your,"But that's not looking./that's looking." That line is just really amazing and it makes sense, your writing is just beautiful Hopefully i can read more of your work and enjoy it as i have enjoy this one

Good job for writing this poem and well done and i don't know what else to say because i'm losing my brain cells as i write this.

This poem... is so beautiful. I'm genuinely in awe.

Hi!! Wayward here for a quick review !!

The formatting of this poem is absolutely stunning. I love what you've done with the Google correction- as if it's a universally acknowledged fact that yourself is, in fact, not yourself. Yourself is someone you do not know. This is a very subjective point which makes the poem more universal. GORGEOUS.

"That's not losing./ that's looking." These lines. t h e s e l i n e s. this is so beautiful?? I genuinely have no words to describe how this makes me feel, and I'm a poet, so... hmm.

I love the extended metaphor you've made, comparing yourself (someone else) to a birdpath. It creates such a simple and easy to understand yet incredibly deep and lovely poem. I adore it. The poet Brenna Twohy also deals in lovely lifelike extended metaphors; you should check her stuff out. This is a Big Compliment.

This entire poem goes together so well. Each line fits together seamlessly to create an absolutely beautiful and universal theme that is incredibly hard to convey. You've achieved what may be the very best poem I've ever read on the subject.

Overall, I have NO critiques. This was stunning, and I feel almost different after reading it. Thank you for writing this

Awww thank you wallflower, this review is so sweet!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the poem so much <3

Hey there! MapleWay here dropping by with a quick review!

Wow. This was so deep! I really enjoyed reading it! The concept was so well-though! And the way you described searching for yourself but only finding bird tracks was such a great metaphor! My favorite part had to be the simple picture in the background though. It fit the poem so nicely and added a lot to it. I am a little confused about the suggested thing in the upper left corner and the red underlines. Why did you leave these in?

Anyways great poem whatcha! Can't wait to see more!

- MapleWay

Thanks for the review MapleWay! I didn't actually leave the correction and red underlines in per se, I added them haha :D they're meant to add on to the meaning of the poem ^^

Oh cool! That's a fun idea!
