Oh please, meet me at the cemetery,
Meet me where our bodies are buried,
Where we took our last breath.
Before I mourned what I have already lost,
Before you died, but never left,
When being alone meant loneliness.

It will always rain; our flesh will always rot,
This valley we are buried in is too many miles from home.
Oh please, could you meet me at the cemetery?
Tell me anything; I beg you, let me hear your voice again,
Be more than a dead bird, a corpse, a reminder of the uncontrollable.

Let our bones and blood mix together, as we sing,
‘Could you meet me again, for the last time,
At the cemetery, which is too many miles from home?’
Look at me once more, and promise me anything,
Give me a reason to love your body, even in death.

Please, meet me at the cemetery, where our bodies are buried.

Hello! Am moon
Firstly, I'm really in love with this poem. I think the speaker is talking to someone who has died, and maybe the speaker wants to die too. I'm not completely sure, but that's what I thought when I read the beginning.
I really liked the part about how the person died but never left, because I think their memories are still with the speaker even though they're physically gone.
My favourite line is “Tell me anything; I beg you, let me hear your voice again.” I really love this line because it shows how much that person's voice means to the speaker. They are even ready to beg just to hear it again. I found that really touching.
I also really liked the repetition of “meet me at the cemetery.” It made the poem feel even more emotional to me.
Some parts were a little confusing to me, like the line about being a reminder of the uncontrollable, but overall, I really love this poem its really emotional. Keep writing!! Thank you for sharing

This poem is dark, haunting, and genuinely evocative. It feels like a conversation between someone who is grieving and someone they can no longer reach. But what makes it interesting is that I can't tell whether the speaker is mourning a person, mourning a version of themselves, or addressing someone who is physically gone but emotionally still present. Your poem has a compelling emotional core, but a few changes could make it more polished.
The opening could be more precise
“Where we took our last breath.”
This is understandable, but it raises an interesting question: did both people die, or is the speaker imagining a shared death?
If the ambiguity is intentional, keep it. If not, consider clarifying the relationship between the speaker and the person being addressed.
