Broken Heart, Broken Soul

In Poetry

My heart breaks when I see another in your arms
and you make me wish that I could read your palms
My heart breaks when I see another with you
and now I know that you never knew

You broke my heart, you broke my soul
someone save me from this never ending hole
Did you ever know it's you that I love?
when we first met I felt a smile from above

You stole my soul, you took it all
between us there came a wall
You played my heart till it broke
over yours you placed a cloak

You returned to me a broken heart
before going off with some other tart
You never loved me, you never cared
you left a heart that couldn't be repaired

Only now I realise, that I deserve better
I'll pour my heart out through every letter
I don't want you, I don't need you
I don't like you, I don't love you

I truly would be better of without you

I really tried to capture the way my friends would have felt....trying to practice my empathetic skills in poetry.

It always seems impossible until it's done.
