Its Of Stone Heart

PreviousNext

I loved you as you were
Whole heartedly
I always wanted you near
Cause you were my one and only

Everytime i saw you
My heart would skip two beats
Everything you'd do
Would give me the heats

You were the one my heart craved for
In those times of loneliness
Cause you opened my heart's door
Without permission...and now you turned me in a mess

I should have smelled your game
I should have known what you were up to
I should have known you had no shame
I should first have known you

But now it's too late to regret
But that doesn't mean i'm not crying
Cause my eyes can't stop being wet
And my heart can't stop breaking

Breaking so much
That i think it went through a metamorphosis
Hardened cause you were such
A lousy person...yeah my fake oasis

But now i'm recovering
Its painful, but that's what life is for
After all, i wasn't gonna spend my whole time hovering
On what we once had but was no more

If you moved on without looking back
Cause i know you never cared,
Then i think i can do the same without having my shell crack
I started on this route, i dared

So now i'm gonna do it
Keep my heart closed; unavailable
You threw me in this pit
But i think i'm finally able

To come back out
And show you that other part of me
You broke my heart once and made me shout
Out of pain, frustration, you made me angry

But it's over now.
I moved on
Yeah i did it, somehoow
So i wont let you ruin my fun

Once again...

This is a really lovely poem. It expresses so many things all at once and it also says things that only happen to certain people but are never pretty pictures. Your use of metaphors gave the poem more feeling.

Now, on to business..

But now it's too late to regret
But that doesn't mean i'm not crying
Cause my eyes can't stop #FF0000 ">being wet - i think this should be getting not being
And my heart can't stop breaking

Breaking so much
That i think it went through a metamorphosis
Hardened cause you were such
A lousy person...yeah my fake oasis - this is a beautiful stanza.

I really like this poem, it feels the heart with a bit of sadness and also happiness because there is someone out there that uses such beautiful metaphors, really they were awesome. I really like these:

But now it's too late to regret
But that doesn't mean i'm not crying
Cause my eyes can't stop being wet
And my heart can't stop breaking

Breaking so much
That i think it went through a metamorphosis
Hardened cause you were such

This is a really, really, really, really, really nice poem.

Every time I’ve gotten feedback that was hard to take it was usually hard to take because there was truth in it and I didn’t like that (or didn’t want to receive it). That’s not to say all harsh feedback is good or that we should be harsh for harshness’ sake, but learning to absorb truth without letting it break your inner core/break you is a lifelong skill that keeps your mind elastic and open to learning.
