The next day, "Dick and Annie went to school, delighted that they were able to go. Most of their classmates were also coming, and they planned to have lots of fun.
"Let's all sit on the same side of the bus and pass sweets and things to each other." said Jenny Johnson, one of Annie's classmates.
"And let's make scary noises while everyone's asleep and hope to scare a few of the teachers too!" said Kitty White.
"I wonder if Irene's coming. I hope she will. Does anyone know why she hasn't come?" Annie asked. No one knew.
Irene Rose Winter was Dick and Annie's cousin and they were very close.
Just then, the teacher came in and everyone scurried off to their own places and stood up. "Good morning Miss Knight!" "Good morning to you too. Now, sit down and open your textbooks to page 84." The class sat down and in a moment the sound of flipping pages could be heard.
"Have you marked those places in your textbook, Annie? I completely forgot!" whispered Mary Brown from beside Annie. So quietly, Annie showed her her map and took it back while Miss Knight went on explaining the prominent geographical features of Scotland and afterwards, the legend of the Loch Ness Monster.
At the end of the class, Miss Knight asked for the forms. "If you have all been able to get permission to come for the trip, please give me your forms." Everyone quickly pulled out their forms and stacked them on the teacher's desk. "Is that all?" she asked before taking the stack of papers with her. "Yes, except Irene's. She hasn't come today." said Jenny.
"Alright. Those of you who are coming for the trip have to come to my office at recess." said Miss Knight, and left.
Classes went smoothly and then came recess and in trooped the girls into Miss Knight's office and then began the distribution of slips and notices about the trip. "You are all to follow every instruction strictly and not do anything silly there. You can bring along anything that you may need and a few eatables like sweets, but nothing too much or I reckon you'd have a hard time getting about."
The girls giggled and asked if they could bring along a few games. "I suppose you could, but honestly, I don't know when you'll be able to play with them...." said Miss Knight, and by the looks on the girls' faces, she continued, " but I hope there won't be any ghosts seen around us at night." The girls roared with laughter. " Ghosts don't exist Miss Knight so we don't really think you will." "Don't worry Miss Knight! You won't actually see the ghost, but you might just heard it!" said Sarah Walker. "Oh I don't know....." said Miss Knight.
The children walked back to their classroom, chattering about what they ought to bring along with them. "I wonder why Miss Knight taught us about Scotland today when we're going to Wales?" wondered Kitty.
"This'll so much more fun than I thought, I wonder what Dick's up to...." thought Annie.
Well, a lot had been going on in Dick's classroom all this while, quite exciting ideas seemed to have swarmed in. Let's check them out!

The Good Stuff:
-We have a new cast of characters with pretty unique names (which is always a bonus.)
- I think there was a good element of mystery when Kitty questioned why they learned about Scotland instead of Wales. She also has a sense of humor (which is always great).
- A pretty short and sweet chapter so far! I can tell it's leading up to something bigger.
Room For Improvement:
- I think the sentence about Irene after everyone is done talking felt a bit just 'thrown in there' since we only learn a single detail about Irene without any other evaluation.
- I've already mentioned indenting and starting a new paragraph when people start to speak, so just make sure not to forget that
- I feel like the characters' speech in this chapter became a bit more generic. Their British accents are shown quite brightly in the first chapter and we could see everyone's speech style with talking, but it's disappeared a bit in this one. I would suggest bringing a bit of Annie's and Dick's personalities into their speech more and adding a bit more British-ness every now and then.
- I think this sentence is a run-on sentence:
I would just separate this into another 2-3 sentences.
This second chapter left a good amount of mystery and will definitely keep me waiting for chapter three! Can't wait to read it!

First Impression
Well looks like they got those forms signed and now its time to plan for this wonderful trip. Looks like so far everything has gone really quite well there and its lining itself up fairly well.
Anyway let's get right to: Kate's Line by Line Reactions;
Oooh looks like some very exciting plans there, really bringing back a few hints of nostalgia there, those were definitely the kinds of plans that we all ended up making at this point.
Ooh looks like class is staring out there and they're going to need to put a little pause to the planning for the moment. Once again really love how you're setting this up here.
Well looks like we're about to go in for that trip there and things are shaping up pretty nicely. It does look like maybe one or two of their plans might end up a tiny bit foiled but at the same time they do appear to be able to carry out at least a couple of them.
Well looks like the plans are being well set in motion and Annie is having quite a nice time. And it appears that chapter three is when we're going to learn about what exactly Dick was up to.

Overall a lovely cute addition to proceedings I think. You've done a wonderful job bringing it to life here from Annie's point of view. Really looking forward to seeing what was going on for Dick.
