YWS: Non-Fiction: Reviews
This section, unlike General Articles, is for reviewing anything you have had experience of and wish to express opinion about. However, like all Literary forums, YWS Rules and Guidelines still apply.
Please bare in mind that the Reviews section is not only for reviews on your writing. The Reviews section is also a prominent place for discussion. If someone has a different opinion to you about a film or book, they should have every right to discuss it with you and you with them.
However, there are Rules and Exceptions:
1. If an author has asked for reviews on their writing only and not for discussion, then please have the respect to honour that. Same goes for reviews that the author only requests debate for. If there is no mention, feel free to discuss or make a helpful review.
2. Never say another person's opinion is wrong. Everyone has the right to express their own opinions and we all see things in our own way. Use words like "I believe differently, because..." If you can't back up what you're saying, simply don't post because the last thing anybody wants is a flame war and trolling.
3. Respect one another always.
4. Do not go Off-Topic.

To Summarise, here's what you can post in "Reviews":
1. A Discussion Topic - Post a brief introduction or question and let users discuss what you have raised.
2. A Review About a Subject (Critiques Only) - Post a review about a film, book or whatever it may be and have your work critiqued for improvement in grammar, argument, spelling, structure, content, etc.
3. A Review About a Subject (Discussion Only) - Again, post a review, and let other YWSers debate the subject of your review, for example: Write a review on Iron Man 2, post it, discuss the good and the bad bits of the film with other users.
4. A Review About a Subject (General) - Post a review and have your work critiqued as well as a discussion regarding your subject of choice.
Note that for Critique and Debate only posts, you MUST have an Author's note or a note in the Title
