Seems like forever since I wrote something. My words seem to have lost their sharpness but it seems that in misery I turn to them, seeking something that I lost. Hopefully this won't be too bad an attempt at writing again.
---
On this seat of solitude, I wait for words to come hither;
On this stone slab, I wait for this silence to splinter;
Like the howl of a storm in the sea of time;
This silence, this solitude shall never wither.
A ghost of touch I remember, a ghost of a kiss I still feel;
Like a roaring fire still alive deep within an ember;
Our passions, dancing within our lips I still feel;
Haunted now, are the halls of my heart, the ghosts alone now dwell;
Gone are kisses and the love, now to my desolation I kneel;
Wishing for it to stay, so the pain of happiness I never feel.
Gone is the touch of her lips, now and forever in solitude I sit;
Gone is the warmth of her embrace, now in cold halls I sit;
Restrained with the chains of doom;
On this stone throne in the bowels of my Tartarus, I sit.

Good day, BaronFlame! I thought that I may as well review your poem, since you haven't written in a while and are taking a few curious steps back in that direction, so I guessed it would be appropriate to critique and analyze this piece. And, personally, I'm impressed by your prowess thus far. Nicely done! You do a wonderful job of crafting deep and dramatic emotions in your piece, which seems to come across as a tale of torn apart and ruined romance (perhaps by the narrator, as indicated by the fifth-to-last line). The poem itself relies upon a lot of prosaic and elegant wording, which contributes to its lyrical and spirited sense. Indeed, it reads beautifully, almost like the lines of the song, and the message of each of the lines reverberates and echoes in my mind. The rhyme scheme is also effective and fascinating, as it doesn't come across as particularly blunt or open, nor detracts from the poem in any fashion. It contributes to the overall impression of loss, sadness, silence, and regret. In particular, the first four lines left an amazingly strong impression in the reader's mind and did a fantastic job of pulling your audience into the poem, where you carry those feelings throughout the piece.
Personally, I also admire your sense of classical poetry, while maintaining an almost experimental nature. There's something vivid about the narrator's predicament that comes across in your word usage, especially as it applies to their past sensations and what has come of them. That feeling of desolation and abandonment is clear, and the descriptions of ghosts certainly add to it. Your usage of similes and metaphors is also distinctive and impressionable, on top of well-executed. Something about comparing silence to its opposite might seem strange at first, yet even more evocative when I consider the roar of the wind as hollow and empty, which contributes to the major theme. On another note, perhaps the most poignant part of this piece is the realization that the narrator wants to remain in their dreadful predicament, given that they may have caused this sadness and devastation. In the end, perhaps the only thing I might find to critique is the rhyme scheme. It's dramatic and brilliant, and actually fairly organized (as I wrote down, it went something like this: a, a, b, a, c, d, c, e, c, c, f, f, g, f), but the middle somewhat awkwardly ties the pattern together. Perhaps you could expand on this? Personally, I don't mind much, as the variation is unique and clever, and executed to good effect.
Anyways, that's about it! Thanks for presenting this marvelous poem! You definitely show yourself as a capable and fascinating poet, even in light of the amount of time since you've last written. While the images that you convey might sometimes be cliche (particularly when it comes to romantic scenes and embers), or at least somewhat generic, as in your investigation of the ghosts and present coldness, they're used wonderfully. Indeed, this poem is vivid, surprising, and was a great piece to read, on top of a masterful lyrical composition. Well done!
This piece makes some of my poems seem like crap. I cant really explain, but this was really good. It had a lot of meaning and was deep in feeling. I liked this very much. I will probably use this to help me work on my writing. I love to write so I will be reviewing a lot of things to get points so I can get points to post things. I know some of my things probably aren't as good as this but it would be cool if u could review my stuff. To give me tips and pointers. I will be following you.
Thank you and I'd love to. With time I have realized that no poem is crap, nor should it be. It's an extension of your feelings, it can't be crap. You are your first and foremost audience.
I am not here often but I'll do what I can.
