The whole town fears you.
But I know your pain.
Anyone in the cities say its never true,
But your screams are as common as rain.
Agony echoing, threading between the Cyprus.
The whole swamp falls still.
Your painful sorrow is like a virus.
Consuming my bleeding heart against my will.
My mother once told me about you,
your tall frame residing the shadows.
Pale, moss covered skin, in the depths, shines through.
Face, a horror, teeth ivory as a pale rose.
She explained you weren't evil.
She said this before she died.
Now my soul runs feeble,
My grief and desolation collide.
I see you over the fence,
when I crumple on the porch to cry.
Your white eyes try and make sense
on how its just me, myself, and I.
I know you knew her too, her kindness and her love.
For your cries ring in anguish now.
Grieving, just like me, in the thought of her above.
Someone so pure, be gone, I always ask how.
Everyone talks about the screams they heard last night.
What is it? This terror they cannot see.
But in my mind, I haven't a single fright.
Because the terror is one who reflects me.

Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!
Shalt we commence with the ghoulish S’more?
Top Graham Cracker - This is a poem about a strange creature that haunts the woods and frightens the narrator at first, but their mother reassures them that the creature is not evil before she dies. Now the narrator and the creature are bonded, both grieving the mother’s death. (Is it a banshee? It kind of reminds me of one.)
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I have no recommendations to make as of right now, but if you would like to edit this, you may.
Chocolate Bar - I like that in the poem people are afraid of this entity because of the way it looks, but it loved just like the humans and is now sad with the narrator. This poor demon-creature is all gangly and spooky but still has a heart. :< It stays and watches the narrator which I think is really sweet!
Closing Graham Cracker - Overall, a lovely and frightful poem for October! I have enjoyed reading this and I’ll think of checking out your other works! And so now…
I wish you a gorgeous day/night! ^v^
Thank you! I didn’t know the graham cracker method existed and this made me laugh a little.
lolz yw!
