The whole town fears you.
But I know your pain.
Anyone in the cities say its never true,
But your screams are as common as rain.
Agony echoing, threading between the Cyprus.
The whole swamp falls still.
Your painful sorrow is like a virus.
Consuming my bleeding heart against my will.
My mother once told me about you,
your tall frame residing the shadows.
Pale, moss covered skin, in the depths, shines through.
Face, a horror, teeth ivory as a pale rose.
She explained you weren't evil.
She said this before she died.
Now my soul runs feeble,
My grief and desolation collide.
I see you over the fence,
when I crumple on the porch to cry.
Your white eyes try and make sense
on how its just me, myself, and I.
I know you knew her too, her kindness and her love.
For your cries ring in anguish now.
Grieving, just like me, in the thought of her above.
Someone so pure, be gone, I always ask how.
Everyone talks about the screams they heard last night.
What is it? This terror they cannot see.
But in my mind, I haven't a single fright.
Because the terror is one who reflects me.
