It's a big ol' game of telephone. Except for a lot harder. And scarier. Writing with people is hard, and having to collaborate on a piece of writing is harder-especially for poetry. The goal of this game is to have fun and see what turns out, as well as trying to tell where the poem is going based off of a previous line. It's not really that serious, although we are trying to create something good-just have fun with it!

How it works: It's like telephone, but with poetry. Just write a line, and see where it's heading.

I'll start us off!

A house, on the hill, disconnected from the world
"Writing, though, belongs first to the writer, and then to the reader, to the world.

The subject is a catalyst, a character, but our responsibility is, has to be, to the work."

- David L. Ulin

And the sun consumed by eternal darkness, its hideous foe
“It is always sad when someone leaves home, unless they are simply going around the corner and will return in a few minutes with ice cream sandwiches.”
