Well, I just re-joined YWS, and I want to become worthy of my Instructor status again. I have to say that my critiques aren't quite up to scratch because I haven't written any in a while, but that WILL change.

So here's the deal: for the next little while, I'll be taking 5 crit requests each week. The critiques will be done in the order that I receive the requests, and here's the rules:
- you can't request a critique more than once a week.
- the piece you want feedback on can't already have a ton of critiques
- nothing graphic/sexual, please.

I'd prefer to review fiction (except for historical, I'm not the best at that) but I can do poetry, even though I'm not the best at it. I'm fine with Art/Photography and I'd like to try scripts. :)

Types of reviews:

If you want a certain type of review, please specify it in your post. (For example, let me know if you want a special focus on grammar.) A standard review will be separated into two sections: nit-picks and grammar, and then several paragraphs concerning the broader aspects of the piece such as characterization, and then my general opinion.

I can also do a "full edit" -- I print out your piece and make corrections in pen, and then scan it onto the computer and upload it to my critique.

So that's that! Once I get 5 requests I'll make a post saying please don't reply request anything else until next week.

Thanks muffins!

- Camille<3

PS. If you want an advanced critique, that's okay too; just don't expect it within the first couple of days.

Hi, again!

I see your thread is empty, so...

Yes, it IS called "Ours," but it's posted in Other Fiction, and it's not mushy-gushy. If it were, I wouldn't ask you. ^_~

Thanks. I'll check out your portfolio as soon as I can. :)

Hi!
Here's my first-ever fictional short story (on YWS):

topic39628.html

I would love to get some more feedback; mainly just an overall speculation, I guess?
Or, a standard review, as you put.

Thanks! I appreciate it!

Okay, I'm back! Sneaking on the computer really (I'm grounded again). *sigh* I'm ashamed to admit that the only work I've critiqued so far is Azila's "Ours" ... oh wait, I did anti-pop's piece too.

Completed:
- Ours (by Azila)
- Mailboxes (by anti-pop)

Runelord -- did you delete your piece? I was going to review it, but it doesn't seem to exist.

Next up: 'Well this shouldn't be! Prologue' by Lord Anzius. I'll get to the other two pieces within the next couple of days, if I can.

Okay, some of you guys might have noticed that I never wrote a critique for you; it's because I don't want to review pieces that have always received tons of feedback. This is clearly stated in the rules, so if you request a piece with many critiques already you can expect it to be ignored. Sorry :(

But c'mon, people, give me more stories to review!

You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself into one.

The writer, when he is also an artist, is someone who admits what others don't dare reveal.

Hola Wolf! How've you been?

This story is listed in the Romantic Fiction section, although the romantic part really hasn't come into play yet. I've just started posting in the "Will Review for Food" forum for this, so it shouldn't have much feedback if and when you get there...

I don't want to be picky, but if you do follow my request, I'll pay you in points ;] You said I could pick the review... if you could, this piece is relatively short, so if you could so a review that mirrors most of my own. Like this one, for example:

topic38538.html (I personally adore melkor and most of everything he writes)

Here's the link, before I forget:

Hey guys (:
I've done angels-symphony's review and am working on Sock's at the moment. If you didn't get a review, it's probably because what you asked me to critique goes against my rules. If you don't think it does, though, feel free to PM me.

So ... I feel in the mood to review something fantasy ... ? Anyone got anything?
