My sister was was craving falafel, but then she saw a special on waffles. She couldn't decide on which treat to dine. She ate both, and now she just waddles.

I live by Missy the Elephant, who likes dinner to be elegant. Here, you'll find no Budweiser, and only fancy appetizers. Not to mention her desserts-- they're decadent.

How can one like the burning light of day? The sun does nothing but bring pain to me. I even slather sunblock thoroughly-- I even burn when skies are gloomy gray. If you're outside, please don't ask me to stay where heat and light will make me bend a knee to praise the tyrant of the skies and seas. I'll char if touched by any fearsome ray.
I know my skin and soul belong to night-- There is no clearer sign than ruddy cheeks and peeling skin that blisters at day's touch. I'll cower when I step into the light and wonder at the power that it keeps. I'll keep the moon and bear the sun no grudge.

Congrats on completing 30 poems for NaPo! I have to say that both #26 & #30 made me smile. #26 because yay for unconventional formatting and #30 because the line "where i purchased chicken nuggets and anxiety" and the watery coke at the end. Yep. I can relate. [well, I haven't ever maxed out my card on chicken nuggets, but my love of them really has no bounds...] Nice work, Morrigan!
you should know i am a time traveler & there is no season as achingly temporary as now
In the winter months, snowstorms and rainfall in the Patagonian Ice Fields can drastically affect the landscape. Worsened by heavy winds, such storms can reduce visibility and lead to glacial calving, ice collapses, and avalanches. During these conditions, travel is not advised. — The Documentarian
