Cleona couldn't help it. She laughed. "I'm not 100 percent certain, but I think I'm the only one who can die in here. Hell, I have no idea how you all ended up here to begin with."
"Those moments when your in so deep, it feels easier to just swim down"
"I'm erasing myself from the narrative. Let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted when you broke her heart
Thytes, still trying to wrap his head around how a human sailor in a human crew could look at him and assume that he knew anything about sailing - to say nothing about the whole evil whale and cannibalism story - slowly nodded.
"Uh, I'm really hoping none of us can die?" Taber said, voice sounding unsteady. The lion looked back to see that the wolf starting to stagger his way across the deck, putting on an extremely fake smile. "Or I don't have to eat dead people - that'd also be great?"
Reaching back and setting a paw on Taber's shoulder to keep him steady (and calm), Thytes gave Cleona a faint smile. "Well, we are all in the mood to stay alive, so I believe we could provide you some assistance on that front," he said. "And, well, Taber and I have certainly been in equally dangerous situations, though I must admit this is an especially weird one."
Taber nodded and gave a crooked smile, though he looked slightly more at ease than before.

Queenie rolled her eyes, "Alright, that's sorted out. Would the owner of this little bad dream please lead the rest of us to the next bit of the plot? I'd like to wake up sooner than later."
If you're okay with it @FireSpyGirl, maybe we could have a timeskip to when everyone's on the ship, and leave it up to them if they want to stay with Cleona or explore more of the ship?
Sweet! Do you want me to do it, or do you want to? I could probably do it, but it's your character's dream - you probably have a better grasp of the setting than I do.
After everyone posts again and does their own thing, I might be having The Creature show up near someone - but we'll see how the posts go first~
The ship was big, sailors bustled about, setting sails, fastening ropes, making sure everything was ready to sail. A light breeze stirred the sea air, and the seagulls flew about, adding to the sound of the busy dock with their shrill cries.
"We set sail in half an hour." Cleona told the others.

"What would you like us to do?" Thytes said. "Should we attempt to help the crew, or would it make any difference?"

"Why can't we just leave? Jump ship and run off into the sunset instead of doing exactly what this little funfest wants us to?" Queenie asked, crossing her arms.
'Not ideal' was beginning to become the mildest of descriptors for this situation.
