James refrained from raising a brow at her explanation, but looked at her hands, to see if she had a marking too. He had a sneaking suspicion she had a mark as well.

He lifted his hand up, showing both Mina and Auryon his mark. He knew Auryon had one. “What’s on your hand?”

Adamina lifted up her hand slightly and revealed the songbird.

"So you were able to open the door because you have the same marking on your hand," he audibly concluded. It was an odd, and rather eerie conclusion, but it seemed to be their reality nonetheless.

"Have you always had that marking?"

An awful lot of questions. "No," she replied shortly. "What about yours?" She glanced at both Peter and Auryon for this.

"I've never seen it before until today. I don't know how I got it, but it certainly wasn't by my own application," he answered.

Adamina nodded slightly and expectantly looked at Auryon, waiting for her response.

James looked at the girl's symbol, his face remaining neutral as he tried to come to an understanding of their situation.

"And... how did you two get here?"

We'll have to have a discussion about your language, young lady.

No kidding, Sherlock. "We, er, I just kind of...woke up here. Last I remember I was stabbing some unfortunate bugger in the back. Got knocked out. Ta-da. Here."

James's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't know this girl at all, but his story was similar - in that he had suddenly woken up here with no recollection of how he arrived here at all.

"I woke up here as well, and I don't know how I got here," he explained briefly. "Do you happen to know where 'here' is?"

"I'd venture to say it's a house."

"My guess is as good as yours," said Adamina.

James sent Auryon a flat look. "I've gathered that much." He replied. "Obviously we're in a building. But if none of us know where this building is, then that's something I need to find out."

"We can safely assume it's somewhere."
