A House with Many Doors

You wake up to find yourself in an unfamiliar room, lavish and large in size. On your hand is a unique, strange mark that has never been there before, that doesn't come off no matter what you try. The truth is, you are in a strange House. It is full of wonders and seems to lack nothing in terms of luxury and design. There doesn't seem to be a malevolent presence, either. But the owner of the House is not home. And the problem is, there seems to be no way out. The most noteworthy thing in the mysterious mansion is the abundance of doors, which do not have handles or knobs to open them. However, engraved in each door is a mark--one which may match the one on your hand. Only you can open those doors. You must find the other people in the House and find a way to leave. -- A young woman with brown eyes paced across the carpet of a large room. She wore a dress made of exquisite material and modest design, and her wavy, dark brown hair was partially pulled up while the rest of it was loose and going past her waist, a lady of high status. Questions swirled through her mind, as well as a hint of panic. Was it Alanis? Did she order her men to kidnap me? Would she really dare? She shook her head. No. I have to get out of here. I cannot give her the satisfaction of doing something outrageous while I am trapped here. She headed purposefully towards the door and stopped short when she reached out to find that there was no apparent way to open it--and that she had a dark, tattoo-like mark on the back of her hand, shaped like a songbird. She gasped and rubbed at it, but gave up quickly when it did not give way. All right, Adamina, think. She glanced about her, and back at the door. She studied the small songbird engraved there, and compared it to the one on her hand. Perhaps there was some sort of correlation. She reached out and touched the mark in the door. To her surprise, the bird seemed to come to life, letting out a chirp and hopping to the side, before it went still again. Then, the door opened slightly. "Yes!" she whispered, pushing open the door and heading out into the hall to explore. Everyone's mark is different, so please make up your own.

James refrained from raising a brow at her explanation, but looked at her hands, to see if she had a marking too. He had a sneaking suspicion she had a mark as well.

He lifted his hand up, showing both Mina and Auryon his mark. He knew Auryon had one. “What’s on your hand?”

"So you were able to open the door because you have the same marking on your hand," he audibly concluded. It was an odd, and rather eerie conclusion, but it seemed to be their reality nonetheless.

James's eyes narrowed slightly. He didn't know this girl at all, but his story was similar - in that he had suddenly woken up here with no recollection of how he arrived here at all.

"I woke up here as well, and I don't know how I got here," he explained briefly. "Do you happen to know where 'here' is?"
