"The Boar's Hat!" Connery exclaimed his disbelief. Who would name their establishment so tastelessly? At the sound of the name, his appetite was nearly snatched away from him!
He looked to his small companion, a boy who looked to have starved for the past year of his life. Combined with his attire, this boy was surely some kind of partially-silent monk, under a vow to keep the sweet relief of food from his lips. He must have grown up in the forest where Connery had intercepted him on his grand journey to find meaning in his pitiful life outside of his ever-strengthening faith.
What luck! There was no being alive who was more proof of any god's great divinity, no creature who could better give meaning to a lost soul who had vowed to never speak more than a few solitary sentences at a time!
Connery swept an arm around to take the boy by the shoulder and turned his full attention back to the barkeep. "Hideous name aside, do you serve edible food in this establishment?" he asked, "My companion and I could benefit from some sustenance for our journey."
Those dastardly undead were fools! To be so arrogant as to leave Connery to his devices in an unfamiliar land, as though that would stop him from fighting back against them! Oh no, he would track them down with effortless skill and report their dealings to the proper authority!
