I squeaked. "I knew some one was there I knew it, I knew it." I murmured to myself. Putting a hand over the necklace. I returned the smile. I didn't know who this one was. But that did not discount her importance to the group. I could end this now. I could just pull them out one by one and finish them. But I knew that idea was stupid, stupid and reckless. I needed to watch and observe, I had no idea how strong she was. I followed in her friendly approach.

"You--you're very quiet!" I said smiling. Almost invisible really I thought. "My name's Liddy. And I just escaped from the village;" I paused jerking my thumb behind me in the general direction of the city, "And I thought I heard, people. Being alone and having no abilities whatsoever is really quite dreadful." I whispered, trying to maintain an innocent and lost eye contact with the currently nameless girl. "You have a camp?!" I added, surprised. I moved the toe of my boots around in the leaves and dirt.

She was just about as small as me. Stronger? Again I had no idea. And I didn't want a fight just yet. No. No. Her smile appeared genuine and sweet and I took a step closer, trying not to make it appear threatening, just a lost doll looking for some companionship. Maybe she was a doll too.

"One has to be quiet to survive now a days. I don't want to be targeted by rogues, but I also don't want to be noticed by the government." I stuck out my hand for her to shake. "I'm Maria, and you were very quiet yourself."

Not quiet enough to fool a light rogue. Darsor commented in my head. You're laying it on a little thick, don't you think?

That's who Maria is, a blabbermouth.

I still think you should just attack her, hold her through the night then hand her over to Everlee.

Tell Dav and the others who I am now.

He grumbled but did so, explaining to the men and Sheara that until further notice, I was just a useless doll called Maria, who talked a lot.

"What's your name?" As she came closer I realized that she was actually just a tiny bit taller than me, barely. If I stretched we would be the same height. I stood up straighter.

I smiled and nodded in both thanks and agreement. I peered at her for a moment, raising an eyebrow. She would go silent for brief periods of time. Having a conversation in her head it looked like. A conversation with herself? Not too odd considering I do it.

"Oh me? I'm Lydia. Liddy for short but I don't know if we're on that kind of basis just yet." I lifted my upper lip in a small half smile. "You said camp earlier? Are there other...dolls with you? Or are you in an alliance of some sort?" I asked bouncing slightly on the toes of my boots. She was indeed, shorter than me. Delightful.

I bit my bottom lip and held it between my teeth for a moment before releasing it. How big was this camp? How many of them were there and how on God's green earth was I going to manage to get just one of them dead for the reward? I shook my head slightly, it would all happen in time. In mid-bounce I stumbled slightly, catching my self on a near by tree trunk and giggling.

"Pardon me Maria, I guess I'm just a little...tired." I said, my eyes on the ground. Nice touch.

I didn't trust her. I couldn't trust her. There was something calculating in the way she held herself, something that reminded me of... Me. But I didn't show her that suspicion. I kept on Maria's cheerful smile and beckoned her along. "We're an alliance, to put it kindly. In fact, I'm travelling with some pretty strange rogues and a few dolls. Having another one of us will really help put me at ease." And I led her into camp.

Darsor had turned himself invisible. Smart creature, I knew there was a reason fate had paired us as a team. It would be suspicious if he was around, rogueless.

"Unfortunately you won't get the chance to meet the whole crew tonight, most of them are sleeping, but for right now let's get some food into you! You look half starved!" I exclaimed and started dishing up some of the leftover stew. It was still warm.

It's strange seeing you like that and fooling people.

Hush Darsor, I think she may suspect.
I murmured apologetically. Our conversation could wait until morning when we had her cuffed and questioned.

Niyah sat stareing at the tree tops until a pale pink light filtered through between the jade green leaves. She didn't know how long it had been since she'd been lying there, neither sleeping nor awake, but somewhere imbetween. All she knew was that she didn't want to be there any longer.
I suggest you go talk to that girl, Everlee. She seems like the leader of the group.
"Im not sure, Eisen. What if she doesn't like me? What if I have to leave." Tears filled her eyes. "I don't know where i'd go."
If you continue to be afraid, you wont go anywhere. He was right. He always was.
"Alright." Niyah gathered all of her courage and walked towards Everlee, who was sitting across the camp with her head against a tree. Obviously, her conversation with that guy from earlier had not gone well. Niyah bit her lip, willing herself not to turn and go back to her spot beneath the lonely tree.
Stay strong. Eisen encouraged. Niyah nodded, coming to a stop.
"Um, excuse me?" Niyah said politely. Everlee looked up, her shock quickly replaced with a kind but tiered smile.
"Oh, hello. Niyah right?" Niyah nodded. The girl stood up slowly, obviously over worked. Niyah felt a flash of guilt. Was it her fault Everlee felt this way?
"What is it? Do you need help with anything. So much happened last night that I never got a chance to..."
"No, no! I'm fine! Really. But, um, I noticed you have a dagger. I was wondering if you could show me how to use it." Everlee's smile grew, and for a moment Niyah could see the young girl behind the stressed exterior.
"Of course! by the way, what's your power?" Niyah gave Everlee a confused look.
"My what?"
"Your power. Mine is water and ice."
"I don't know." Now it was Everle's turn to look surprised.
"You. Don't. Know." Everlee stood frozen for a moment, then turned."Seena, Davnick, I need your help over here!"

"You. Don't. Know," I say in shock, turning around. "Seena, Davnick, I need your help over here!" Seena and Davnick stand up from their seats next to the fire.

"What's wrong?" Seena asks concerned.

"She doesn't know her power," I say. "...And we have two days until we battle."

"Ah," Seena says.

"Well, what do you want us to do about it?" Davnick asks.

I don't answer.

"She's obviously not a darkness rogue," Davnick says. "Or, it isn't her main power."

"And how do you know that?" I ask.

Davnick looks at her, back to me, then back to Niyah. "You are talking about Niyah, right?"

I sigh. Just one more interesting day, I guess. "Alright, let's test this."

I begin to walk away to a smaller clearing away from the camp ground. The others follow. "Alright, we're going to hide behind trees while you use your powers," I order.

"Why are we hiding?" Seena asks.

"Because if it happens to be a power like Sheara's we're gonna need protection," I explain, running behind the trees. Seena and Davnick look at each other, and then run to catch up to me.

"We're ready," I call after I am at a safe distance. "Go!"

The sky was a clear, vivid blue, the sun shining impossibly bright far above. There wasn't a single cloud in sight. The small clearing was surrounded by an impenatrable wall of trees. Everlee, Davnick, and Seena stood within the barrier, watching anxiously for what was about to happen. Watching the girl at the center, the good with long dark hair.
"Um...what am I supposed to do?"
From behined one of the trees, Davnick began to chuckle.
"Just go! Release your power!" Everlee shouted back. Niyah had no idea what she meant.
"And how am I supposed to do that?" Davnick's laughter grew louder.
'Come on Niyah! Just do it!" he called.
Eisen, how am I suposed to release my power?
Your power, I never expected you to ask that. You just do. It's diffrent for everyone.
"Your alot of help." she said aloud.
"Yeah, I know. Thanks." Davnick replied, thinki9ng she was talking to him. Niyah ignored him. She was starting to think that was the best thing to do around Davnick.
Okay, how about this: close your eyes. Take deep calming breaths. Relax.
Alright.
Now, call my name.
Call your name?
Yes. I am the physiacal embodiment of your power. It is connected to you through me. I'll try to help you reach it. but it's been lying Dorment so long, i don't know if this will work.
"Okay. The least we can do is try." Niyah concentrated on Eisen. She felt the cool metal blad against her leg, felt it's smooth edge against her skin. Her breathing slowed and the entire world around her fell away.
Eisen. Eisen. she said softly, the words echoing through the darkness of her mind. Something flashed silver, and Niyah's eyes snapped open just in time to spot Davnick flying towards her, a sword raised above his head.
She didn't even blink.
Davnick's sword curved in half before it hit her,and then it jerked him to the left. Davnick fell to the ground in a roll, hardly phased. He sighed.
"Ah, great. Fang is not going to be happy." Niyah blinked, the calm that had filled her moments before vanishing.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" she cried. Everlee and Seena came running out from behind the tree. Davnick chuckled.
"What, do you think this is the worst that has ever happened to Fang?" He shook his head, then sighed again.
"Well It's not. But could you straighten him back out for me?"

I left Lidya with the soup as the sun came up and everyone woke up. Before I could make it to Everlee and explain my latest problem Niyah went up to her and started coming, and then Dav was called over, and then Seena and Everlee ran a good distance away and hid. For a second I stood there confused and then it clicked. Niyah's powers. My suspicions were confirmed when Dav attacked the girl. I didn't bother staying to see her powers, but instead turned to Lidya. "You need to stay put, I will be right back." I told her. Darsor watch her, but not directly, I think she can sense it when we stare.

Yes ma'am.
He teased.

I ignored him, already skirting around Dav and Niyah, I wasn't going to get hurt! And I made my way to Everlee and crouched down on the side Seena was on. "Everlee, we have a problem."

"I know! She just bent Fang!" Seena exclaimed.

"Yes, wait, what?" I asked, looking where she was looking, at Dav and Niyah. "SHE did that?!" I asked in shock, then remembered why I was speaking to Everlee. "No, that isn't it. We have a new girl."

"Of course we do, what did you think Niyah was?" Everlee asked, clearly confused.

"No. Well, yes, Niyah's new. But, no offense, i don't trust this one and she's a doll and is too silent to be safe and is a little annoying but I was pretending to be someone else so I was a little annoyed in the first place because I was being annoying, but that's totally not the point."

"What?"

I sighed. I never quite got across what I was meaning to say. "I found someone in the woods last night and brought her back to camp. I don't like her, she is too silent when she walks. If I wasn't who I am then I never would have found her because she only slipped up once. She doesn't even turn invisible, it's weird."

I nodded as I spooned soup into my mouth. Hungry, slightly. But I was not sure if I wanted to get used to "camp" food just yet. I looked about the camp, already abuzz and no one seemed to be looking at me. I smiled around, blinking slowly in the early morning sunlight. The girl bothered me. What was her name again? Madison? No, Maria. I shrugged. My soup was getting cold.

I thought I preformed quite well. Maybe she even believed me. I stood slowly and looked around, took a step forward and rocked on my heels. I itched to meet the rest of the rogues, strangely I believed her that some dolls were also in the camp but I wasn't sure that Maria herself was a doll.

I took another step. I wanted desperately to talk to some one. Have a conversation. I pursed my lips tightly and opened my mouth, only to close it again with a snap. I would have to wait.

(I'm sorry if I am interrupting anything! Just tell me if I do anything wrong and I will gladly delete/edit!)

I peeked through the green leaves and eyed the new girl. Well, the recent new girl...the new new girl. I was a little nervous when Evee and the others left camp and the still sleeping bad Doll to be guarded by just Rayray. Poca even went with them, but told me to stay here where it was safe. Needless to say, I didn't feel safe at all. And when the brand new girl came into camp, I ran in bush before she could see or hear me. It wasn't that she made me scared; she looked rather friendly, but I wanted to be in my comfort zone. Which meant out of sight. Better safe than sorry, right?

She doesn't look mean... I thought while I studied her. She was pretty, and a little short compared to most people, but she still towered over me by a good measure. She looked a little lonely too. Suddenly she shifted and looked around uncomfortably.

(That was my shortest post ever! I think...yeah, it was. Sorry, I don't know your character very well to say much more. Welcome to the story, by the way! :D )
She feels someone watching her...I get those feeling too when someone is watching me. I pondered. I decided she wasn't scary, and crawled out of the bush. She looked over and gave me a funny look for randomly appearing from the forest.
I slowely tip toed over to the log she was sitting on and sat on the very end, farthest away from her, and pulled some hair in front of my face shyly.

"Hi..." I peeped. "I'm Sheara, who are you?" I asked through my hair. I had planned to ask the older new girl questions too, but she left to train before I could introduce myself.

I looked at the small girl again and shook my head just to make sure it was real, not her nervous mind playing a trick on her. This was my chance, my chance to make friends and get in, gain trust. And what better way to gain trust than to befriend this timid little girl. I'm sure every one there trusted her. I put on my best sugar sweet smile and ran a hand through my hair.

"Hi..Sheara. I'm Lidya. I'm kind of new here. And you're the first person I've really met. Except for Maria." I tried to lower myself to her level. Shorter than me, wonders never cease. "How old are you Sheara?" I asked. Moving the bowl that had once held my stew out of my way with my foot. She looked sweet and trusting and innocent. Perfect, just perfect.

I felt her eyes on me but not only hers. I looked around quickly, pricking my ears, but no one was visible. I could not pick out any particular eyes and I shrugged it off. Paranoid. That is what this mission is making me. I shook in a slight breeze and wrapped my arms around myself. I turned my attention back to the girl. Smiling and trying my hardest to make it reach my eyes.
(Thanks! This is a short post too but ah well!)

-Sheara

"Hi..Sheara. I'm Lidya. I'm kind of new here. And you're the first person I've really met. Except for Maria." She bend down a little to see me better and smiled. She had a really nice smile!

"How old are you Sheara?" I bit my lip. I was a little embarrassed to say my age, I wasn't sure why. Maybe it was because I didn't really know my age to be exact. It had been a long time since my 12th birthday, so I reasoned I was about 13.

"I'm...about 13." Lidya (I think it was) scrunched her face.

"You mean you don't know?" I blushed and covered my nose and mouth with my hand.

"Well..."

Suddenly Poca jumped from somewhere above us and landed on my head. It was so fast, it almost looked like she just appeared.

"Who-is...this?" Poca asked, not necessarily demanding, but it had a little edge to it. She was always careful when meeting new people, especially Dolls.

Lidya jumped back a bit in surprise at Poca's sudden appearance. I reached up and stroked Poca behind the ears.

"Poca this is Lidya. Lidya, this is Poca, my pet." I smiled and put Poca in my lap.

-Poca
I had been watching from above, watching as yet another Doll entered the camp. She looked innocent enough...until Sheara decided to meet her. Then my protective mode kicked into gear. Sheara was always too fast to trust people, therefore, I must do the opposite to balance out the scale. I ran and leaped off the high branch I was on, then gracefully landed on my Rogue's shoulder.

"Who-is...this?" I asked, a little more nicely than I wanted to. I must have let myself go a bit soft in the past few days. I made a side note to change that. The girl looked at me surprised. Sheara began to stroke my head, I loved it when she did that. She then picked me up and put me in her lap.

"Poca this is Lidya. Lidya, this is Poca, my pet."

I grunted in acquaintance, but showed no form of friendliness. I felt kinda bad, there was no reason for me to be so cold to this girl. But I couldn't take any chances. It wasn't worth the possible price. I re-focused on the girl, careful to remain in eye contact.

(Sorry it is so short!)

"Well thirteen it is then!" I said maintaining my smile expertly. "You seem so young to be with this group already, do you have a power?" I asked sweetly. I didn't want to be to forward. I didn't want to see to eager. I shifted on my feet and held the necklace between my hands. It was then when some thing exploded from the bushes.

"Poca this is Lydia, Lydia this is Poca, my pet." She said introducing me to the animal. A small squeak came from my throat and I stepped back before leaning forward to peer at it closer. The creature seemed, not to like me all that much. But it didn't matter. The pets were no threat to me. I hoped. I would simply do my best to win this one over too. Though it looked like it was going to be harder.

"Good morning Poca." I said in a cool tone. Still peering curiously at it. It was staring at me, yes staring at me. I tried to stare back, the shock of this animals appearance took all threat out of my eyes and left only wonder and surprise. My mother had told me about these but I had never see one.

"My mom told me all about these--er you. Poca." I said smiling a little at her memory. I pointed at the--Poca and then looked quickly at Sheara. "My mom taught me about a lot of things I could never experience like her. She was a rogue too. Before a doll killed her." I approved of this lie. It made me seem more vulnerable. More trust worthy. Wonderful. I let my eyes drop and moisten and then bit my lip, looking back up at the two with more cheer. Memory remembered fondly and then pushed back.

(sorry it is so short! I will probably be on again tomorrow morning!)
Living in a tower

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
