-Sheara

My eyes nearly popped out of my head when the strange man flung a hidden dagger at Everlee.
LOOK-OUT! Poca called, but was too far away to do anything.
Reva jumped in the way, and the dagger hit her in the shoulder. I was behind her, a little ways back, but I still saw the blood seep from the wound.

Reva hit the Doll and he went limp against the ground. But I still shrank back. I slowly walked backward until I bumped into a tree. My mind was whirling.
He tried....to kill Evee... I thought in shock, still trying to convince myself of what just happened. She had been trying to help him, no one expected him to have done that. It was just too fast.
Why...why did he try to kill Evee?! She was trying to help...she always tries to help people! Why would he want to kill her? It just doesn't...make sense... I pressed my fingers to my temples.

You-can expect...that much from-a Doll. Poca spat with disgust.
So much had happened in the past week that I couldn't even think anymore. A while back to what felt like ages ago, that Doll, Raya, betrayed me. My trust nearly got Poca and I killed! I learned I shouldn't trust anyone because of that. Then, I run into this group of Rogues and a few Dolls, and meet Davy. I learned I shouldn't be so quick to judge others and that just because someone looks scary, that isn't really true. (Even though I still felt a little shaky on some people in our group.) It was so great! It was like Heaven had sent me a big brother! Then, suddenly that Fire Rogue came and he and Davy beat each other up! It was okay now...and the Fire Rogue had helped with the fire, but...I still didn't know what to think of him.
Not to mention he says bad words...
Then, this hungry-looking and very sad Rogue girl joins us. I made a side note to myself to say "Hollow!" later.
THEN, a bad guy and Reva fall off a little cliff and into the camp, and he tried to kill Everlee!

Calm-down Sheara. You-need to-sleep.

I sighed and layed down by the fire. Poca was right. I needed to forget about everything and sleep for a little while. I hugged myself in an attempt to shut out the world and closed my eyes. I silently prayed no harm would come to anyone during the night.
...

I was in a metal cage, watching as my friends were picked off one by one by a monster with horrible sharp teeth. I tried to get to them, but I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. All I could do was watch in terror. The only two left were Poca and Davy. Poca had tripped while running away from the monster, and Davy tried to pick her up just as the monster swung a blow to finish them off.

I woke with start, cold sweat beaded over my forehead. Even my dreams didn't feel safe anymore.
With all the fights, cursing, new friends, scary bad guys, and close calls with death, I began to feel very small...like a bug under a shoe...of a big mean guy...that hated bugs...

It's-okay Sheara, it-was just a-dream. Poca tried to comfort.

Just then, the bad Doll grumbled in his sleep. I immediately shot a small tornado under me and launched myself into a tree. I grabbed a high branch with my legs and swung my arms up, clinging to it like an scared upside-down kitten.

Poca gave a surprised yelp at my quick escape. She looked up at me from the ground.

"Sheara! What-are you...doing? Get-down from-there!" I shook my head and gripped the branch tighter.

"Uh-hu. No way. Down there is scary and dangerous! I'm staying here where it's safe."
I heard Poca and some other noises, but I blocked them from my mind. I blocked it all out. The terror, the responsibility, the guilt, the love, the pain, everything. I felt so out of place here...I didn't need anyone to tell me that this was no place for a child. It clearly wasn't.
I suddenly thought of how I must look from the ground. I hoped I hadn't woken anyone up...I didn't want anyone to see me. Frankly, at the moment, I didn't want to exist. They must think I'm so weak...well, I was weak, but I didn't want others to see just how much. I wanted to protect them all...but...I couldn't. I just couldn't. I'm much too...soft and squishy. If I got in the way of any bad guy, they would just flatten me, then continue on hurting the others.
Man...I'm pathetic...but be that as it may, I'm staying here. Here, where it is safe.

First off, you-are...not pathetic. Poca had resolved to speaking to me mentally. And-second off, COME-DOWN!

No. Down there is full of scary people and friends getting hurt. Poca growled.

Don't-make me-come..up-there...

(Sorry for the long post! I started to post, but then other people did too, so I had to change and add things. Shadowlight, I just thought I would open up an opportunity for Sheara and Rayden to have a little bonding moment like you wanted. Feel free to do whatever you wish with this! :D )

Tess:

I finished my food and looked around for a place to sleep. I saw jared, laying under a tree and walked over. He looked up quickly.
"Oh, hey."
"Hey."
Silence.
Just say it. Nyx said.
I sighed. "Listen. I know it's really fun to fight and we can't seem to stop but we have to."
He stared at me in complete shock. "What did you..."
"It's just, our bickering is not helping and we both need to try our best at least until after our attack."
Silence.
"uhhh...Okay." I nodded, turned on my heel and layed down next to the fire, opposite of Sheara.
Good job.
Thanks Nyx.
I slowly doze off.

I'm floating. Everything's black. I try to talk but nothing happens.
Suddenly a light flashes overhead. I see someone standing in the light, and suddenly i know I'm supposed to go towards it. If I do, I know I'll get out.
I desprately try to move myself towards the light, but I can't move. I start falling. The light fades and the person standing there reaches for me. Calls for me.
"I'm trying." i mouth. I start falling faster. Faster, faster, faster. I can't stop. I grab desprately for something, anything, to slow me down but nothing is there.
Below me, I see something, growing bigger. It's not the ground. it looks more like spikes, white and glinting from the walls if there are any.
Teeth.
I try and scream as I fall to the enormous mouth below. I flail my arms out, trying to grab hold of a tooth, but i miss and it slices my hand. Pain shoots through me as I fall to my death.

I sit up, hearing somebody screaming. It wasn't me. Sheara is high above in a tree. Appearantly i wasn't the only one having a nightmare. My hand was still stining. I look down at it to see blood dripping down my wrist.
I looked around for what I had cut my hand on and see i left my knife unsheathed. I sigh at my stupidity and looked around.
Everlee and Skylar are sleeping next to each other. Davnick and Rayden are talking next to the bounty hunter. Jared is sleeping under a tree with a dark form, which i thought was Elise. Seena is sleeping next to my feet and the fire is growing dim. I sigh and lay back down.
It's seems so nice to have someone to keep you safe and warm.

(As always, let me know if I blew something! :D )

Uh... I'm bored so I'm gonna add...

Reva

We woke up and all packed up and got moving to the city. We were going to get there in the next day or so, and Everlee wanted to get a good start. My shoulder ached, but was probably healing pretty well, I just hoped that it didn't get infected. I drifted to the back of the group but didn't turn invisible today, I was going to brave whatever happened in complete visibility today. It was my goal.

The crunch of dirt under boots sounded behind me and I whirled, but there was a fog covering the forest. Nothing could be seen. "Everlee," I said slowly. "I think... Someone is following... Us..." I trailed off, hearing people, but unable to pinpoint where the sounds were coming from. Cautiously, I edged closer to the group, because I had fallen behind, and I backed into someone's arms. I gasped as they surrounded me and went wild trying to break free.

"Nice try Princess, but you and your little friends aren't getting out of this one." A cold, harsh voice hissed in my ear.

I hated that voice. It wasn't familiar, but right then and there I decided that this person was going to die. I was going to torture him to death. I elbowed and kicked and screamed and bit in an attempt to escape, but to no avail. It was as if he was immune to pain. Darsor! Help me! I cried out in desperation.

Why should I help you? I called them here. He hissed back and appeared in the fog, his white coat gleaming with his own light. Light that was mine too.

No... I murmured, staring in disbelief. You are my pet, my friend, my family. You have always been nothing but good to me...

Exactly. Did you ever think that I wanted some affection, some love in return for years of service? But no, you were nothing but heartless to me and to everyone else. So we turned.

Wh-what?

Beside him appeared Everlee, smiling at me. Then Skylar, Tess and Elise. They started laughing in my face, laughing at my ignorance. Tige came up from behind and clawed at my shoulder, then joined the group, Seena on his back. Dav and Sheara came next, both smiling grimly. "Did you ever really think I could stand a monster like you?" Sheara asked, coming out of Dav's arms and putting her hands on her hips. Poca was perched on her shoulder, and nodded in agreement. "You're horrible! And terrifying! I'm glad you're gone!"

Then came Rayden, and he stood there, as Jared joined the group as well. They all started mocking me, teasing me and laughing at my stupidity.

We were never really your friends. A person like you can never have any friends. Darsor told me and lunged forward, a move I knew. He was going for the throat, for the kill. He was going to kill me.

I woke up and gasped for breath, trying to remain as silent as ever, while chanting in my head 'it was only a dream. Only a dream. It was only a dream.'

I still wasn't convinced.

Niyah did her best to stay out of the way. She wasn't sure how to react to these strange people. They walked to and fow, like a pack of wild dogs proecting their territory. Would fit in perfectly here.
I'm glad. You need a brake. And you needed to eat. Maybe you could even get some sleep.Eisen said. Niyah placed another spoonful of food in her mouth, savoring the taste. It was the most delicious thing in the world.
Sleep. Eisen was right. Niyah hadn't slept for over twenty-four hours. And yet...
What will happen in this darkness while I am no longer awake. What evil will haunt me here?
The others brought over another young man, setting him down not to far off from where Niyah was sitting. They stopped, talking with one another, then hurried in their separate directions. Niyah noticed that they did that often. She turned to the man, looking at him for a moment, before quickly turned back to her stew. A shadow fell across he feet.
"Hey."I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to scare you, I thought you already knew I was there. I'd forgotten it was dark." Niyah recognized the boy from earlier, Davnick, and smiled up at him. He seemed kind enough, despite his tall stature and and overbearing stance. But her smile was gone as soon as it appeared.
How can you not realize it's dark?
"I'm a darkness rogue."he explained, noticing the confusion on her face.. niyah blinked, staring up at him in shock. Then she quickly looked down, trying to hide her face as tears filled her eyes.
Niyah?Eisen asked softly.
"Sadness is the night. Seeping, bleeding, killing all it touches. It follows in my wake, Eisen. Everywhere i go, it follows, bringing only death and despair."She murmured. Then she regained her composure, blinking the tears away. Looking up, she realized Davnick giving her a strange, angry look.
Niyah looked back down again.
"Thank you." she said softly, shoving another spoonful of soup into her mouth and ending the discussion. Davnick walked away ,leaving Niyah was overwhelmed with relief. She didn't know what she'd done to make him so upset(despite the fact that she'd basically attacked him out of no where) but she knew she didn't want to have him as an enemy.
Because Niyah was tiered. Tiered of fighting.
After disposing of her dishes, Niyah stood. With a quick glance around the small camp, she realized that she was the only one not engaged in some sort of life or death conversation. She turned tothe girl she'd met earlier, Everlee, and for a moment thought about going and talking to her. But she couldn't bring herself to do it. Not anymore.
Niyah turned, walking out of the flickering fire light and into the darkness. It embraced her, it's cold fingers wrapping around her like sheets of ice. This was where she belonged, cursed forever to the realm of shadow. this was her only family.
She sat at the roots of a tall oak, curling into a ball and letting the tears come.
Once again, Niyah was alone.

Jared:

I'm sitting on a thrown, dressed up like a king, juggling heads.
Weird, right? And not just any heads. Tess' head, Everlee's, Davnick's, Sheara's, Reva's, the head of the government, even. They're all laughing. Elise is laughing next to me, and I smile, and juggle higher. I accidently miss Tess and I drop them all one by one. They hit the ground with thuds, and crack open like eggs.
Elise laughs harder.
Out of all the eggs sprout water droplets. They float to the air doing intricate designs, like a kelidoscope. Elise seemed so excited about it that she poked it with her fingers. She laughs gleefuly as the float backward then back to their origonal positions.
I giggle at her sudden playfulness.
Giggle? Giggle?? I must be dreaming.

That's when I wake up. What an odd dream. men. Amy mutters at my feet and goes back to sleep. I shrug and slowly drift back off, Elise laying next to me.
I smile with my last moments awake.

(Weird? If yes, I completed my job. :D )

Rayden Thorn:

I jumped about a foot in the air when, Sheara suddenly rocketed up from where she had been sleeping into a tree overhead.

Her pet - a little white ball of fluff- was angrily pacing around at it's foot.

"Sheara! What-are you...doing? Get-down from-there!"

"Uh-hu. No way. Down there is scary and dangerous! I'm staying here where it's safe." She called back poking her head out from the foliage. Even though it was ridiculous, she was perfectly and spot on right- it wasn't safe down here.

The two of them then seemed to be arguing albeit mentally with one another. Sheara looking more and more sad and frightened and her pet looking more irritated.

Sheara come down now!" it finally barked.

"No Poca I'm staying here!"

"Don't be so foolish! nothing is going to hurt you!" Davnick got to his feet and moved over to the tree.

"Come on Sheara, it's safe down here. I'll protect you." Sheara shook her head.

"But who's going to protect you? what happens if you get hurt!" He smiled reassuringly.

"That won't happen-"

"But what id it does? she wailed.

By this time I had moved to stand under the tree straining my eyes to see her. I crouched down and picked up her pet. Putting her on my arm, I brought her to my eye level and spoke mentally with her.

"What's wrong with her?" Poca looked from my face too the tree distrustfully.

"She's frightened. This happens sometimes." I nodded, then an Idea struck me.

"Poca, what's her favorite song?" Poca tilted her small head to one side.

"I-don't-see how that -is going to help."

"When I was young and I was upset or scared, humming or hearing my favorite song helped me- Its worth a try at least. What's her favorite song?"

Suddenly a small strain of a melody and words drifted into my mind. Poca was struggling with how to get the song across to me, but though it was broken and not all the words were there I recognized it at once- an old lullaby! I walked back over to my guitar and with Poca perched on my shoulder, I strummed a few chords trying to remember how it went. after a moment I had enough of it figured out to begin.

"Close your eyes
Don't you cry
Let the sorrow within you subside, Don't despair-
Have no fear. Give your way to me when you hear,
This lullaby..."

....

(No, that's just fine Shadow! :D )

-Sheara

I clung on to the branch and buried my face into its bark. Davy was trying to get me to come down. He kept telling me he'd keep me safe, but he didn't understand that I wasn't only frightened of what might hurt me. I was frightened of anything that might hurt them. I was afraid that something bad would happen and I wouldn't be able to protect any of them...just like I couldn't protect Mother...

My eyes stung as they filled with tears. My heart sunk to my feet. I wanted a family, I wanted friends, but then again...I didn't because that would mean they would be close to me...and if they got hurt because of me...
My mind went back to all the horrible things I had seen before. In all cases, I could have stopped it. I don't really know what I could have done, but I...would have been able to do something...anything...but I didn't. In that moment, I wanted to just curl up and die. Just fade away and out of existence.
These people are better without me anywa-

Just then a very quiet, familiar tune sounded below me.

"Close your eyes
Don't you cry
Let the sorrow within you subside, Don't despair-
Have no fear. Give your way to me when you hear,
This lullaby"

My whole frame stilled. I felt a pain in my heart, a memory, but also a good one.
I had been trying to practice electricity, so I could protect Mommy. Daddy wasn't here anymore, so he couldn't show me how to use the electricity, and Mommy could only show me wind. I had been watching the sky to try and mimic the lightening, but instead of sending it out my hands, it shot through my legs and zapped me in both feet. Mommy found me and carried me back inside. I was so sad and...angry. I was angry at myself for not being able to do anything without help. I started to cry because I knew I couldn't protect Mommy while Daddy was away. I didn't think I would ever be able to control my electricity.
Mommy wrapped up my burnt feet. She then bundled me up in a blanket and held me close to her. Then she began to sing a song, my favorite song, the one that always made me feel safe and happy again:

"You say all seems so wrong with the life that you're living
You're searching for some reason why
You're so scared to trust
You're feeling unworthy
Aching for comfort tonight "

I looked down at the Fire Rouge, my vision blurry from tears. He continued to sing the second verse.

"When your heart's too sore to beat
And ya, you fear it might never heal
And ya, you feel not even beggers want you
I do"

I felt a warmth spread across me, a warmth I hadn't felt for a long time, a warmth that I had missed dearly. The Fire Rogue hoisted himself onto the branch just below me. I was tempted to climb higher. The Fire Rogue must have seen me eyeing the branches above me, because he started to sing again, leaning against the trunk and strumming his guitar while looking up at me.

"Close your eyes
Don't you cry
Let the sorrow within you subside
Don't despair
Have no fear
Give your way to me when you hear
This lullaby"

I felt myself start to relax to the gentle notes he played. He was really good at playing the guitar.
He pulled himself onto a branch level with mine, but I didn't try to run away. I sat on my branch and studied him. He smiled, he had a nice smile. He repeated the last verse of the song, singing very softly while gently playing his guitar. He had a nice voice, it reminded me of the calming sound of wind. Soft, but powerful. The feelings of fear and guilt melted away, like snow in the Sun.

"Close your eyes
Don't you cry
Let the sorrow within you subside
Don't despair
Have no fear
Give your way to me when you hear
This lullaby"

He stopped playing, but the feeling of peace didn't go away. He strapped his guitar onto his back and offered me his hand.

"Come on, little one. It's okay, I won't hurt you." He said soothingly. I hesitated.

He...hurt Davy...but Davy hurt him too... I debated in my mind who started the fight, but didn't draw any conclusion.
Will he hurt Davy again? Would he hurt anyone else? I looked into his eyes. I could see that they were a pretty blue color, even in the dark. They gave off a sense of sincerity, a sense of trust.
I looked to his hand, then back to him, then to his hand again. I inched my hand forward, then brought it back to me.

He chuckled.
"It's okay, I don't bite." He reassured, giving me a big smile.

I couldn't help but smile back.
He may have seemed scary at first...but Davy was too. With that I put my hand in his. His hands felt tough and his fingers were hard in some spots from playing the guitar, but he was also very gentle.

I blushed and hid my face in my hair.
"I'm sorry I got scared."

"It's alright, it happens sometimes." He said. Then he started to help me down the tree.

(I'm so sorry I post so slow! I was so busy with Review Day-weren't we all?-?)

Elise:

I tossed and turned in my sleep as I was dreaming. I was... 6 years old? Oh God no. I'm not having one of those dreams, am I? Wake up! Wake up! Elise you stupid girl, wake up! Nope, not working. I see a very young Skylar and me playing beside our lake, Skylar skipping rocks, me throwing rocks in the lake.

"Elise! You're not doing it right!" Skylar yells at me. I cross my arms and pout at him. I stomp my foot.

"I'm trying!" I whine. Myrtle is still perched on my shoulder as always.

"Try harder..." Skylar holds the "er" longer. I roll my eyes, but then jump when I hear a gunshot.

"What was that?" I asked. Skylar jumps for joy, making me look at him weirdly.

"Fireworks!" he exclaimed. I grab his wrist and run back home.

"Mommy! Daddy! We're-" I got cut off when Skylar's dad grabs my other wrist.

"You're coming with me," he said. I wice at how hard he's gripping my wrist.

"What?" I notice how he has a gun in his hand. Sarah, the kind neighbour, has mommy... and a gun. My eyes widened as she lifted the gun. Mom's eyes meet mine, and she begins crying. She mouths, I love you. I shake my head and watch as she gets shot.

"Mommy!" I cry. That's when I woke up. My eyes open immediately, but I don't sit up. I notice Jared beside me, sleeping away. I take deep breaths to slow the pace of my breathing.

That was scary, Myrtle said.

Tell me about it, I responded. I looked over to Skylar, who was sleeping beside Everlee. Hopefully in the future, I wont get anymore of those dreams.

(Hope this is okay!)

ooc: Okay, hello every one sorry to join this SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO late but here is my character. Now I shall just start right in because I think that is best. If no one else minds, if I don't fit in I can leave too. But from the posts I gather you are camped out in or around the woods? So that is where I will start. I may need a little help getting started and into the group too. Thank you all so much! Going to bed now but I will be back on in the morning. So here is Lydia. She can just be a surprise element from the government.
Name: Lydia Hawthorne
Gender: Female
Age:  19
Doll or Rogue: Doll
Appearance:
Spoiler
Image

Skills: Her appearance and her petite body and sweet voice have always been to her advantage. She is also able to be entirely silent. She has trained herself to stay invisible and silent when it is needed.
Personality:Lydia has been known to use her innocent and young looks to convince others that she poses no threat, that she is just as innocent and naive as her large eyes make her look. But don't let her looks fool you. She is cunning and startlingly clever and has a rather evil undertone. She knows what she wants and and will stop at virtually nothing to get it. Though it is not always evil that drives her, she may want what's right and may be going behind her race's back to try and get it. She is very flirty though she goes about this my acting as if she has no idea what flirting is. Her sweet nature makes her very easy to trust. For most.
History: Lydia was eight when her father, a rogue left her and her mother, a doll. The relationship was created when her mother fell for her father on a mission to kill him. After her father left them she made a vow to destroy as many rogues as she could in her life time to get back at her father. Her mother, Ceelie, once one of the most prestigious rogue hunters and trained Lydia since she was ten. After her mother died of a particularly bad infection Lydia has been on her alone, alone since she was sixteen. She was able to stay unheard of and alive for the next three years, hoping to join a group of rogues, for reasons entirely unknown to even her. Living with only her mother has made her naturally wary of men and never before has she been in a relationship or tried to get into one. Her mother always told her that their beauty was to be used as a tool to deceive and she has yet to try and use this tool.
Relationship: She does not have a relationship but she is interested in them. She is straight.
Other: She is very small but don't let that fool you, she is actually quite strong, simply lacking height. But her real tool is her mind. Even though her looks and doll status may make her seem untrustworthy, she tries her hardest to seem trustworthy and now that she is setting in motion her plan, she is not so sure about it anymore. Lydia always has a small dagger and a pistol tucked into each boot, well concealed and for her own protection.

ic:
Lydia

I lightly touched the necklace that I wore, my father's crest, I hated him, I hated him. I repeated this in my mind but some how I continued to find comfort in the old crest. I was in the woods, a bounty hunter I am, a fairly new bounty hunter with no name for myself whatsoever. I didn't mind this, the anonymity of it all gave me an edge. The woods were quiet except for the sound of a lonely cricket, a few peepers. I had thought I heard singing earlier, faint, faint singing, but had dismissed the thought from my mind. The loose white shirt I wore gave me little protection from the slight breeze that drifted through the trees.
"I won't fail you now mother, I will use each thing you taught me.." I whisper. But my voice faltered, in the woods, working with the government, so close to my goal I could taste it, I falter. Because I am young, small, alone and--no not afraid. I thought defiantly. My hair floated around my face in the breeze and I bit my lip, a habit of mine, my mother despised it. I thought of how little defense I have in the way of rogues, the government and my mother had warned me about the dangers their powers posed. I was new to this world, painfully new and awkward in my new role. I wanted to work freelance, but the government is who pays you. Everlee. I let the name roll my tongue. I thought of how proud my mother would be to see me kill this rogue worth so much. How angry my father, where ever he was now, would be to see me cut off the head of rebellion. I smirked in the dark. Smirked and ran a hand through her hair. It was getting too long. It was then when I tripped over a large root lying in my path, tripped, falling into the leaves and low lying branches, letting out a small high scream as I fell.

Hope this is ok Tabbi!

Reva

A small scream reached my ears and I shot up, ignoring the previous terror from my dream. I looked at Dav, who had clearly heard it as well. "I will take this one." I murmured and turned invisible. I was itching for a fight. For a reason to prove to Everlee and the others that I was worth staying in their group. I would not fail, not this time. I crept into the darkness and towards the source of the scream, and foud a girl lying on the ground as if she had tripped. She was just... There.

She stood up and brushed herself off, then looked around. Did she really think that she could walk past the most powerful group of rogues and scream and go undetected? I mean, yes, I was invisible so it was completely impossible for her to see me, but really. Foolish. Unless that was what she was planning. Drawing us out was easier than finding us. And Everlee was sleeping, and I planned to keep it that way until she wasn't so tired, so... Who would know if I led this girl on a wild goose chase all night? Who would stop me?

I grinned and set my plan into action.

ooc: Thank you so much! This is only my second story book so you have no idea how nervous I am that I will mess up! And it was great.

I stood quickly and bushed myself off, I felt heat rising to my face but tried to ignore that too. there was no one around so why should I feel embarrassed. I froze for a moment, ever get that feeling like some one was watching you? Well I had it now. I shrugged it off with a quiet laugh. The scream was stupid, bloody stupid and I was just feeling like some one heard me. No one did. There was no rogue camp just yet and I didn't hear their yells and footsteps just yet. I assumed I was safe. I continued walking, avoiding all the twigs, roots and loose rocks. Keeping as silent as the darkness I was enveloped in; just as mother had taught me. The sounds of the woods resumed, as if they had stopped for me when I fell. And I crossed my arms across my chest.
"Where are they I am all alone and I need some help for god sakes." I hissed under my breath. It was then when I thought I heard a footstep behind me. The camp... I thought silently. I looked around slowly, trying my best to look scared, nonthreatening. I am guessing it was working since I had practiced this face in the mirror for days and I was no bigger that five foot one. Some one small is always discounted for weak. It works to my advantage. "H-Hello?" I called out. Nothing. Silence. Nada. I moaned. Alone. That is what I was and at that moment that Is what I felt I always would be. I nibbled on my lower lip and began deftly braiding a piece of my hair. "Why on earth do you fidget so much?" I asked aloud. A bit to loud actually and I shut my mouth with a snap. Because you are alone and nervous...I whispered to myself. Just like always.

She was scared, that much was clear with the way she kept fidgeting. So when I let her hear my footstep and she froze, I decided against leading her around the woods all night. Worst comes to worst Darsor and I could guard her all night. "H-hello?" She asked softly and I felt like a cat stalking its prey. "Why do you always fidget so much?"

I went for an approach that I didn't normally do. I had been testing the act on Darsor whenever we were alone and he said it was convincing. Besides, she was about my height and not nearly as strong.

Clumsy too. Darsor added dryly.

I grinned and released my invisibility. I put on a warm and kind smile, the one I wanted to test on Sheara but she was already scared enough on me. So I tested it on this girl. "Hello." I said softly, and stepped to where she could see me. I looked like a doll in the woods alone at night. A kind and filthy doll. "You passed by my camp and I couldn't help but notice that you were looking for someone. I am sorry I didn't make my presence known earlier."
