Chahta

I heard the sound of muffled shouting surrounding me as I tried to open my heavy eyelids. That was weird... I swore I remembered waking up before. As I struggled to open my eyes, I realised that there was something not quite right. The shouting continued as I eventually managed to open my eyes.

"Mist! Come!" I heard Aliricia's voice.

I groaned as I sat up. As I looked in Koda's direction, I noticed that he was asleep - or unconscious. I suddenly remembered the man who was previously in this tent, the man who'd told me he'd take me out of this God-forsaken mountains; the scientist. As I thought about it, I realised how stupid I'd been. He was a scientist, for Christ's sake. I doubted he wanted to dance around a camp fire and sing love songs. And if he found out about what I could do...

At the thought, I quickly sprung to my feet, wobbling slightly. I obviously hadn't regained complete consciousness. Koda was still out of it and I could hear Aliricia's wolf thing outside the tent. Breathing in deeply, I quietly made my way towards the entrance of the tent. I went to grab my sword when I noticed that I didn't actually have it. Aliricia must have taken it from me. I bet she regretted that now.

Ah well, who needed a sword when you could just beat up a guy? I eyed up the man carefully as I prepared to kick him where it really hurts. I'd show Aliricia what fighting meant.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

The situation was turning and I must say it amused me. I had not expected this much resistance and this much spunk from them. Although amused I was getting tired of the situation "Tamara stop playing around. I'm bored now."

Tamara stood up. What ever poison that was in her system would have been nullified by her insides but it probably had damaged her irrevocably, which meant she was useless to me. I had many more where that came from.

The boy I had tried to bring in was nearly upon me. If he got a hold of me then I would probably get killed. I lightly tapped my middle fingernail and Tamara went ridged and her eyes turned to saucers

The others stopped to watch her and I stepped back aware of what was about to happen. I was going to have to leave without a prize but I'd be back. I had my marks now. The Boy and the girl that had interrupted me would make nice experiments. The girl in particular I would enjoy hurting for ruining my Tamara. She was expensive after all.

Goodbye Tamara I thought just before she exploded and tore the tent apart in a sea of flames and noxious gas. This gas was much weaker then my first and would only make them dizzy if they tried to pursue me. I ran before the explosion was over.
I cursed under my breath Tamara had all my candy. I wondered where she had put the case because she hadn’t brought it to the tent. Oh well I would restock when I got back to the lab. I’d half to program a new Tamara as well, maybe one that didn’t have such a slow reaction time.

I tapped another one of my fingernails and waited. I could here people following me. I sighed as the helicopter started to land in front of me. I stepped in and it started to rise just as the tribes burst through the trees. I smiled and waved at them then closed the door.

“Back to headquarters, I have some very interesting things to report I said going over the information I had scanned. I head kept the scanner on ever since I woke up and had caught every minute of my confrontation. The others would be pleased to see what I had gathered.

I pulled out a old candy bar from my pocket and bit into it.
This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that’s barely out of its diapers. I’m old, Dean. Very old. So I invite you to contemplate how insignificant I find you.

I shrieked as the man ran out of the tent. We had to get out of here! Of course, Koda was still unconsious. I rolled my eyes and half carried, half dragged him out of the tent. The boy was heavy!

Mist came running out, tail between her legs and Gash wrapped around her midsection. "Somebody get that fire out!" I shouted. Ghera nodded and began to gather up the others.

I couldn't see Chahta anywhere, but I very well couldn't let him escape. I sighed and got a semi-consious Koda out of harm's way and began making my way through screaming villagers in an attempt to find our prisoner. I was panicking inwardly, but I held it in. It wouldn't do much good to any of us if I started freaking out.

There! He was laying a few feet away from the tent, scurrying backwards on his elbows. What was his problem? I sprinted over to him and helped him up. "Looks like we've got ourselves a bit of a situation," I grumbled, shoving him back towards camp. "Of course this doesn't mean you'll be getting off easily my friend."

~Koda~

I felt myself being dragged across the floor painfully, and tried to open my eyes, but I couldn't. All I could hear was the sound of villagers screaming - screaming at what? My memory felt clouded and foggy.

I was dropped suddenly, the surprise waking me from my trance. I looked around to see Charlie and Aliri standing next to me, Ali with a grumpy look on her face. "You couldn't have woken up a second ago, could you? You're really heavy, you know." So she'd been the one carrying me. I shrugged apologetically.

"What... just happened," I asked sleepily, and both of the two rolled their eyes.
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Woah! Ali! No cloak!" Koda commented, looking rather shocked.

I touched my head, finding no hood on it. My eyes widened and I quickly started to pull it up. Charlie pulled my hand away from it. I wheeled around to glare at him, snapping at his hand with my teeth. He stepped back and I smirked, pulling my hood back up. "Thank you."

I turned to the burning tent and sighed. "We were stupid enough to let him get away..." I muttered. Not once had I let a prisoner escape. Not once! "He's going to go back. He knows where our village is now." I was trembling.

Koda put an arm on my shoulder and for once I didn't brush it away. "We'll be ready. Don't worry," he assured me.

Not enough. Not even the rain was cheering me up now. My complaining about the weather seemed stupid now. We had a much bigger problem on our hands.

"You know," I began, observing the burning tent. "Stuff like this don't happen in my tribe, you guys clearly ain't intelligent enough to look after yourselves."

I wasn't normally one to pick at people, but right now I wasn't half pissed off. I'd been kidnapped, my sword had been taken off me, there was some angry chick treating me like some little kid and quite frankly, I was fed up. Plus, I was absolutely starving.

"Shut up you!" Alirica spat at me. "This is all your fault anyway!"

My fault? How the hell was it my fault? I was the hostage here, in case she'd forgotten. Aliri was actually happy this morning before that idiot scientist decided to attack us. I sighed heavily as I realised that I was being a bit harsh.

"Sorry," I muttered. "I ain't in the ideal situation right now, remember? Besides, it would be a lot easier if we didn't fight. Especially after what just happened."

"He's right, Aliri." Koda said, his hand still rested on her shoulder. "Us fighting is only going to make situations worse."

I couldn't help but shudder at the truth in Koda's words. As I recalled what had just happened, I realised something that truly did surprise me. In a way, Aliricia had saved me from that Scientist. I mean, I was naive enough to believe that the Scientist was going to invite me into society with open arms. If it wasn't for Aliri stopping him, who knows where I could be right now? Maybe she wasn't as bad as she seemed...?

GHERA

Out of the trees leaped a small girl. Whoa! What the hell was she? She was like super-human! She quickly ran away, she ran in the direction of my village. I chased after her only to find her gone. I sprinted to the village to alert Koda and Ali. When I got to the tent I could here commotion inside, then I saw Ali. "What going on out here?" I asked.

"Ghera, stay at the front exit, weapon ready!" she ordered. In my case my weapon was my fire. I walked around the front. My curiosity got the best of me and I peeked inside. Inside was a lingering blue cloud and Koda was passed out on the ground. The prisoner, Charlie, was standing in the corner, looking sluggish. The little blonde girl was also there, looking pretty sluggish herself. Suddenly Charlie charged and tackled the scientist. I saw Aliri run into the tent and drag Koda out. Why was I just standing here? Not by choice, my body wouldn't move, I seemed frozen. The scientist was getting away, but right now that wasn't the biggest problem, the tent was going up in flames. I was pretty sure no one was still inside. "Somebody get that fire out! I heard Ali shout. That's my cue, I nodded in her direction. Putting out fires wasn't the same for me as starting them. Fire came out of my hands, I suppose you can say I extinguish them with my mind. I need to concentrate, which was hard to do with everyone in the state they were in. With help of villagers with water the flames were put out.

I strolled over to Ali, Koda, and the prisoner? Why was he still here, if I were him I would have ran away and fast! "Anyone want to fill me in on what is going on?" I asked.

I woke up and walked to the village Tam walking beside me. I saw to my horror that there were scorchmarks on buildings. I ran to the exit gate and saw Ghera and Ali standing there. "What happened?" I demanded.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

"The scientist got away! Blew up the whole place!" I shouted. Selene was running back, demanding what had happened. I groaned and repeated myself. She looked astonished.

I turned, the thing that had carried the man off was still in sight. I had seen those things before...helicopters of something similar. "A few of you go out and follow that thing!" I shouted into the crowd. They all knew I wasn't in charge, but they were also smart enough not to mess around with me. A group of four or five nodded and ran out.

I wheeled to Charlie. "Look, I'm sorry I was an ass earlier, kay? We've got major problems here. But if you dare make another snide comment about my village's inferior intelligence, I will not hesitate to end your life." I smirked to myself. Apology and threat all at once. Nicely done if I do say so myself.

Ghera was focusing on the flames and they were slowly diminishing with the help of the rain that was now coming down steadily. Ah, how I had missed the rain. "Koda, do me a favor and find somewhere descent for Charlie to stay will you?"

He raised an eybrow at me. "Who appointed you princess of things?" he grumbled.

I glared at him. "Now is not a good time to mess around with me Koda. Now be a good little boy and help Charlie get comfortable." I smirked. "Without going to extremes if it can be helped."

"What prisoner?" Selene asked hesitantly.

I turned to her. "Outsider. Scientist by our speculations. Creepy to say the least." I crossed my arms, hoping the cheif wouldn't lecture me on how I wasn't letting him do his job. Good ol' Ali, that's what I was here for.

I bit my lip until I drew blood. "He won't be easy to talk to." I said quietly. Tam nudged my hand and I stroked his head and he licked my hand. I smiled slightly. I scratched him behind his ear and he started to pant with happiness. "Selene." Aliricia said snapping me out of my revelry. I jumped and looked at her annoyance clear on my face. "What is it?" I asked still scratching Tam.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

Taylor
He walked through the forest until he got to the limit of the other tribe's lands. For a while, he wondered if it was right to cross that line again. After a moment of thinking, he decided he had to do it no matter what. So with great care he crossed the limit and walked until he heard some voices.

Well, there he went again, silently hiding behind the trees until he got closer to the voices. He heard mostly girl voices not many boys, he recognized some voices though. Behind some voices, he heard Charlie but what intrigued him the most was that there was Ghera. All of a sudden, Ghera turned around and almost spotted him.

That was a close move but thankfully she hadn't seen him, anyways, he told her he was going to see her again.

"What was that?" I asked, nudging Ghera. "No way is that creep back yet..." I was talking about the rustling we had all heard.

Ghera shook her head. "I have no clue to be honest."

Well, that was a big help. I smirked. "I'm gonna go check it out," I whispered. I didn't let them say anything else, I just slipped back to where the sounds had been.

"Well, well, well." I muttered, grinning. "If it isn't Taylor. A rescue mission I presume?"

He turned to me, a sour look on his face. "I just wanted to find Charlie and..." he trailed off.

"Ghera? Yeah, she's been wanting to see you too." I sighed. I really wasn't in the mood to put up a fight right now. I'd let this one slip, just for Ghera's sake. "Look, you wanna see them? Fine. But hon, Charlie is going to be staying with us for a little bit." I motioned for him to follow me and he did. Good boy Taylor.

Ghera grinned when she saw him. "Taylor?"

Charlie frowned. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" he demanded, crossing his arms.

He nodded at Ghera, grinning. "I could ask you the same thing."

I rolled my eyes. "Look, we have time for all of this later, alright?" I put one hand on Taylor's shoulder and the other on Charlie's. "We've got a few things we obviously need to sort out here."

Selene, who had been silent through this whole thing finally spoke up. "We need to get out of here. No way can we stay in the village now that they know where it is," she whispered.

I sighed. She was right in every aspect on that one. "Well, let's go see the elders." I turned to Taylor. "You, my dear boy, may go if it pleases you. Or you can follow along." Next I turned to Charlie, smirking. "You, on the other hand, don't have any choice but to come with us."

"What?! How come he gets to go?!" Charlie demanded.

I laughed. "You have lots to learn sweetheart."

Just when I was beginning to like Aliricia... The only reason I wanted to leave this place was because it wasn't blooming safe! Plus, it wasn't okay for me to call Aliri 'babes', but it was fine for her to call me 'sweetheart'.

"I could just punch you in the face right now and run, ya know." I shrugged, grinning.

"Go on then." Aliri replied, turning to me.

Whoa... I wasn't serious. I knew it seemed stupid, but I didn't like hitting girls. Even if they were from the other tribe. Although, it would be rather enjoyable to hit Aliricia.

Before Aliri or I could say anything else, Ghera interrupted our argument.

"Have they been like this since Charlie's been here?" He asked Koda.

"Yep." Koda answered. I couldn't help but notice him smiling.

Well, I was glad that I was keeping him amused. I'd like to see him try and be forced to stay in some village that happily let Scientists in. Who knew what could have happened to me within the next few weeks if I stayed here? Ah well, if they ended up getting me killed, at least my father would be happy.

I chuckled to myself. I was such an unlikable girl...Nobody could quite stand being around me for too long. I was argumental, all part of the package.

"Of course if you do punch me, I won't hesitate to fight back."

Charlie rolled his eyes. "Of course you wouldn't. But why can't I go?"

I looked to Koda for support. Obviously he didn't understand what was at stake either. Was I the only one here? "Charlie, you can't go for so many reasons it'll take a millenium to explain. Biggest reason being that you saw what happened here."

"Look, Charlie's a moron, but I would keep an eye on him for you," Taylor offered.

I shook my head. "I'm sorry. I'm unlikable and all, and I can see why Charlie wants to ditch me; but that just isn't an option right now. I'll try to lay off a bit if it'll help anything."

"I still don't know what's going on here!" Selene reminded us.

Koda sighed. "I'll tell you later okay?"

I swallowed and stared at the dirt beneath my feet. I was impossible.

"What was that? No way is that creep back yet." said Ali, her hand going to her sword.

I shrugged, "I have no clue to be honest."

Ali smirked and whispered, "I'm going to check it out." Without waiting for a reply she scurried off.

I sat down on the ground, what else was I supposed to do? Everyone was in a panic and no one seemed to need me. I glanced up and saw Ali, following closely behind was Taylor. Taylor? Did he have a wish to be held captive like his buddy Charlie here. Then again with the village in it's state, I wouldn't be surprised if no one noticed him. "Taylor." I grinned and stood up.

Taylor looked as though he was about to say something but Charlie interrupted. "What the hell do you think you are doing here?!" he exclaimed.

"I could ask you the same thing." grinned Taylor.

For a few minutes I let my mind trail off. I had a million questions built up inside. What was the scientists information going to do with us? Where was our village going to go? Where was I going to go? Am I going to stay with the village. Don't be silly Ghera, of course you are going to stay with them. Everything you have is with them. What about the feud with the other tribe. What about our hostage from the other tribe? What about Taylor? My thoughts were interrupted by Charlie yelling, "What!? How come he gets to go!?"

That was followed by Ali laughing, "You have lots to learn sweetheart." Boy, did he ever. Boy, did I ever.
