I sighed loudly. "Koda, Sel, take care of those two. I just destroyed Ghera, I think it's up to me to repair her." I darted the way Ghera had ran, to the stream. It was beginning to thunder. A flash of lightning in the distance. It was about time we had a good storm up here.

I slowed down, taking time to enjoy the rain. The stream was coming into view, Gher laying beside it, drenched, eyes closed. Was she sleeping? Not likely. I walked up to her and plopped down by her side. She didn't move.

"Gher, I'm almost tempted to check your pulse. You're creeping me out," I muttered, smirking.

She lifted a hand over her eyes and opened one of them. "Sorry, didn't hear you." She closed her eye again and lowered her hand.

"Sorry about putting that on you. Truth was, I had no clue what to do either." I chuckled.

"Ali, not knowing what to do? Strange." She grinned.

I laughed. "Ali rarely knows what to do. She makes stupid choices more often than decent ones." I laughed. My choices usually did end up leading to trouble... They were rarely good. Thunder clapped behind me and my grin broadened. Back to being happy. Gash was back to being coiled around my knee, out of the rain. "You know, I hate my bossy personality. I also hate the fact that I'll never be able to fall in love. I'm much too hateable." I sighed, fiddling with the wet grass.

"Don't even say that Ali!" I exclaimed, "So you're bossy, I'm rude and like to annoy people. It's just who we are. The people who are bothered by it are people we shouldn't really care about. As for love, you will find it, I know you will. Besides, we are young, what is the need for it right now?"

Ali sighed, "Maybe I will just be the crazy snake lady, I won't need a man, I will have forty snakes to keep me company." Gash hissed in her ear. "Don't worry, you will always be my baby Gash." she reassured.

I laughed, "Come on Ali, forty snakes or not, you don't need a man! Not that I'm convinced you won't find one....but you don't need one! Neither do I! Neither does any woman!"

"That, my friend, would be the end of our population." chuckled Ali.

Trying to look as un-annoyed as possible, I calmly strummed my guitar. No way was I giving Aliri another lesson, not if she kept me here. The only upside to her mood swings was the fact that they actually made her pretty hot. I sighed heavily. I was going to end up getting killed here in this village. I found it rather amusing now that Taylor was here to. Taylor on the other hand, clearly didn't. He looked more pissed off than Aliri normally did, and that was saying something.

"What are you laughing at?" Taylor asked me, still moping.

"Nothin' Tay." I shrugged.

Taylor simply glared at me. That made me laugh even more, obviously. Aliricia and Ghera had gone now, again. Not that it really bothered me. It bothered Taylor though, who obviously had a crush on Ghera. I couldn't blame her though, he was pretty hot.

"When are the girls coming back?" Taylor turned to Koda before turning back to me. "Because I don't want him perving on me. God knows what he'll do to when I'm asleep..."

Now that was a bit rude. Taylor was normally okay with me. I guess he was just a bit annoyed. Well, very annoyed actually. Besides, I wouldn't perv on him. Not in the night anyway. It's too dark.

"You're gay?" Koda sounded surprised.

"Nah," I replied, strumming my guitar again. "Just bi."

"Oh..." Koda almost sounded happy.

"Well, maybe we don't need men. Other women who deserve them can have them. Women who can be folded and tucked away, molded into something they're not," I muttered, twirling my finger around in the stream absently.

"How do they deserve them? I say we're the most deserving there are!" Ghera protested.

I laughed. "True enough, but the men don't seem to realize that. Other women need men. We don't." I jumped to my feet, suddenly feeling full of energy. "Of course, falling in love and having somebody to dote over and somebody to dote over you would be amazing. To be protected and loved despite what you don't want..." I trailed off, lost in thought and staring at the small droplets of water as they hit the stream. I was in a dreamy mood now.

Ghera rose to her feet slowly beside me. "Ali, you're an odd one. I didn't know you were such a hopeless romantic."

I laughed. A full laugh, not my usual taunting, irritating chuckle. "Well I am. If I could find somebody who would accept me..." I smiled and averted my stare at the direction we had come. "I think you may have found somebody who will accept you, though I can't be sure. Come along with me my dear?" I curtsied. Amazing how a little storm can put me into such a fanciful mood.

She shook her head, grinning. "Unbelievable..."

I winked. "I know. All part of the package." We ran full speed back to where we had left the guys. Charlie was probably ready to rip my face off by now. Ah well, he'd live.

We arrived back, panting and laughing our fool heads off. I don't think any of the guys had ever heard me actually laugh. They were all staring at us like we were insane. Which I won't deny, we probably were. "I have returned unto you oh those who want to rip my guts out and burn me on a stake," I announced, bowing, my right arm raised into the air. Drama was something I seemed to excell at.

"I have returned unto you oh those who want to rip my guts out and burn me on a stake," Aliri said. She was clearly extremely happy.

Why couldn't she be like that all of the time? I would so find her freakishly hot then... After Aliricia spoke, I grinned a pleasured grin. I, of course, decided to play along. She wasn't the only one who could have mood swings.

"Yes! I shall kill the!" I jumped to my feet and turned to Aliri. "Die, moss licker. Die!"

Everyone else in the tent began laughing. Well, everyone except for Taylor who still looked annoyed. I couldn't help but notice a small smile grow on his face. He hadn't reached the point of laughing though. Ah well, he shouldn't be so miserable. Besides, he clearly liked Ghera. He should be glad to be here in this village.

As I imitated poking Aliri with a stick, she looked rather surprised. She'd probably expected me to beat her up or something. I found that fact rather amusing really. I was weirdly beginning to like this tribe... which kind of freaked me out.

Well, that made sense... I considered slowly, thinking back over the past few days. Hang on, was I pleased?! ...Should I be pleased...? I shook my head uncertainly, making out like I was just getting my hair out of my face as Charlie gave me an amused look.

Just then, I heard a terrifying sound. Something so scary, it could only mean the worst. Aliricia was laughing. I turned around, eyes wide with terror. She must have finally cracked, that was it, and was now on her way to kill us all.

"I have returned unto you oh those who want to rip my guts out and burn me on a stake," she announced as she and Ghera returned. I stayed frozen in shock. She actually had gone mad.

Charlie seemed to recover way quicker than me or Taylor. He leapt up with a grin. "Yes! I shall kill thee!" he yelled, proceeding to chase Ali around the tent.

I laughed, happy that the two had finally stopped being at each others throats. Maybe now we would be able to make a plan of sorts.

I smirked. "You mock me! Thyn shall not live for this!" I ripped my own small branch from a tree beside me and held it infront of me, motioning for Charlie to duel. Everybody was houling with laughter, except for Taylor. What was wrong with him? Fix Taylor! I urged Ghera before returning to the duel.

"I swear Ali- you have finally lost it," Koda confirmed between laughs.

I laughed again. Chuckling just didn't seem appropriate. "Koda ma dear, I lost it quite a long time ago. Now I'm only gaining it." I advanced on Charlie with my stick. It was bigger than his. "Shall thyn accept my challenge?"

"It would be cowardly not to," Charlie replied, grinning.

I let him make the first move, forgetting about the snake that had now slithered over to Ghera, looking for somebody half sane to sit with for a while. "The old snake-lady shall avenge you." I made a blow with my stick, and Charlie blocked with his. I had no idea how long this went on, but we kept shouting infernal things to eachother. As soon as the laughter would die down, one of us would say something retarded and it would start up again.

I twirled around and threw my stick back into the bushes. I felt like messing with people. "Guess what?" I taunted, grinning stupidly.

"Do we even want to know Ali?" Ghera asked, laughing. We even had Taylor laughing now.

"Probably not, actually. Of course I'll tell you anyways." I whistled for Mist, who came plodding up to me, begging for attention. I stroked her head.

"Oh great, this'll be good," Charlie muttered. He was still grinning.

"I have found my knight in shining armour! His name is Sir. Jeff and he cuts off the ankles of those who try to steal me away into the night." Actually it was a dream I had last night. It was sort of creepy actually.

"Jeff?" Koda and Ghera asked in unison.

I nodded. "In accordance to my dream anyways. I'm tired. Goodnight." I saluted and layed down on the ground, crossing my arms under my head and closing my eyes. It was still pouring rain out, but I loved sleepingin the rain. I actually fell asleep.

I pissed myself laughing as Aliricia fell asleep in front of me. Seconds later, everyone else in the tent did the same. I was still pissing myself after ten minutes or so. I think that I had begun to freak the others out a bit.

Finally silent, I lay down on my back and shut my eyes. The odd chuckle managed to escape from my mouth as I tried to catch my breath. Aliri was fast asleep now and I was ever so tempted to start poking her with a stick again. Opening my eyes again, I sat back up. As I reached for my stick again, Koda took hold of my arm.

"Don't wake her up," He couldn't help but laugh slightly. "It's nice and quiet now."

"Thank God," Taylor said rather rudely.

"Oh... well sorry Mr I'm-So-Depressed-Even-Though-The-Girl-Fancy-Is-With-Me-Right-Now!" I once again began to piss myself laughing.

Taylor shot a horrified glance at me. Come on? Like it wasn't obvious that he fancied Ghera! I didn't need to say anything to let anyone know that. Besides, I was in a good mood. I was kind of unpredictable when I was in a good mood. Taylor knew that.

Everyone was looking around the tent awkwardly. Well, everyone except for me. I was still laughing my head off. After a few minutes, I finally managed to speak again.

"Hey, I'm hungry." I said, turning to Koda. "Come and get some food with me? I can hardly go on my own. I'd probably get shot by aggressive tribe members for leaving this tent, or something."

I sat down in the forest tilting my head back letting the rain pour over me. I closed my eyes slightly and giggled. I felt like such a little kid though I never would have acted this way in front of Ali. She personally scared the piss out of me. I stood up and walked through the forest humming quietly to myself. Tam and Iris followed still like they always did. I walked back into the village and sat on the edge.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I smiled slightly at Charlie's suggestion, though at the same time I was slightly concerned by the element of truth in his words. From what I'd heard of the Elders earlier, they weren't exactly pleased with his prescence here.

His smile faded slightly as we left the tent, and he looked around searchingly. "Where's the food?" he asked after a moment. I thought for a bit, then scowled. "It's too late to go to the food store... We'll have to hunt or something, I guess." At his look of confusion, I elaborated. "There's an trap put on it at night, to stop people snacking on communal food in the dead of the night. And to stop wild animals. But hungry, half asleep tribespeople are basically wild animals anyway."

Charlie laughed again. ...He was a tad hyper at the moment. It seemed to be an alomst perpetual state for him, actually. A mischievious glint appeared in his eyes. Umm. Not that it was an attractive glint, or anything. "Let's just break in."

I stared. Was he actually serious? Apparently yes, as he ran off to the food store, examining the trap with interest.

ALIRICIA~Dream~

Rain pelted my skin, but the sun shone steadily. I was back, finally back. Now I could hunt down my cloaked gentleman. The scent of roses wafted through the air, finding their way to me. I smiled and turned around. He was there, red cloak and all. I still couldn't see his face, but in his hands was a beautiful red rose, drops of dew still sticking to the delicate pettles.

I took it and lifted the hood of my cloak with my free hand; something I did only here. In this dream. I was aware it wasn't real, but I relished the moment anyways. It was something I needed; an escape from life in the village.

"Come with me?" he asked, offering his hand.

I took it, my smile growing as he led me into the forest. The sun shone through the canopy of leaves, leaving long slivers of light that just barely seemed to touch the forest floor. It was all so breath-taking. I had been here so many times and it somehow never ceased to amaze me. My own little dream-land. It always rained, but the sun held steady.

"It's amazing how I dream the same thing everytime I fall asleep. It's like a book. I just start off where I was awakened," I muttered, absetnly running a finger across the rose's petals. "Why don't you show yourself to me?"

He sighed. "Because you havn't found me yet; back there. I'm not really anybody. I'm a dream after all." He chuckled and lowered himself to the forest floor.

I sat down beside him, propping myself up on one arm. "I still don't get it. I'm in a dream that is read like a book, I write it all down in my journal so that it is a book and I still have no idea how to find you. Is this dream linked to the real world?" Each time I came I had more questions. I longed for sleep to come at night, just so that I could be here.

"I suppose they are. Most dreams are linked to reality in one way or another. This one seems stronger though." He shrugged.

"When I meet whoever you are, will you appear as him in my dreams, too?" I had been having the dreams since I turned sixteen. They were intoxicating.

"I don't know. It's time for you to wake up now my dear." He scrambled to his feet and helped me up, kissing my hand lightly.

Everything changed then, as it always did. I was in that black void I always ended up in right before waking up.

Don't ask me how it all happened but within minutes of returning to camp Ali and Charlie had all of us in side splitting laughter. Well, almost everyone, Taylor still looked extremely glum. Fix Taylor! Ali's words rang in my head. But how? What could I do? It's not like I could let him go, that ship had sailed.

My worrying was interrupted by Ali's ranting, "I have found my knight in shining armour! His name is Sir. Jeff and he cuts off the ankles of those who try to steal me away into the night." At least she had Taylor smiling now, but he still didn't look okay. "In accordance to my dream anyways. I'm tired. Goodnight." stated Ali. She saluted us and layed down on the ground. Typical Ali behaviour.

Ali seemed to fall asleep instantly, me not so much. I could hear Charlie still laughing his head off and Koda and Taylor talking. "Oh... well sorry Mr I'm-So-Depressed-Even-Though-The-Girl-Fancy-Is-With-Me-Right-Now!" I heard Charlie burst into laughter again. Finally the laughter stopped and I heard Koda and Charlie leave. Idiots, did they want to ruin Ali's mood?

With Ali asleep and Koda and Charlie who knows where it was the perfect opportunity to talk to Taylor. I quietly walked over and sat beside him. "Hey, are you okay?"

DIMITRI **I made an opportunity for chupatoasta and Aradine to be able to post if they still want to. They aren't captured.

The village was in a state and the source was five flying machines touching down in the clearing. They were scientists, I was sure of it. Obviously other tribe members had the same idea. They were evacuating Cheif Whitehawk, his family, and the healers, apparently they are the most important in the tribe. The scientists were all over everything and everyone, I needed to get the hell out of here.

Running away, not helping, felt selfish. Was it really though? It was no where near selfless but if I had stayed, what good would I have been?

"There's an trap put on it at night, to stop people snacking on communal food in the dead of the night. And to stop wild animals. But hungry, half asleep tribespeople are basically wild animals anyway." Koda shrugged.

Well that was annoying. I hadn't eaten anything since I'd been here and I just found out that I wouldn't be eating anything anytime soon either. I paused and thought for a while. Ah well, I'd be fine.

"Let's just break in." I grin broadly.

Without waiting for Koda's reply, I ran towards the food store. Seriously, how bad can some little trap be? Shortly after I had began running, I could hear Koda doing the same behind me. It was probably a good thing. Otherwise, I'd get myself into a right mess.

As I reached the entrance to the store, I stopped and observed it carefully. It was quite a neat little store, way nicer than the one in my village. I couldn't see any kind of trap though. Maybe it wasn't there tonight or something? Besides, what wild animal is honestly going to come into the village, open a door, and take some food?

I grabbed the handle on the door rather carelessly. I was in a good mood, after all. As I did so, I heard Koda shout behind me. I began twisting the door handle.

"Don't!" He called loudly, still running towards me.

That guy was so paranoid...
