"So do you reckon Sweep and I could get a room hereabouts?" I asked. "Or will our bad luck prevent us from doing so?" I looked at Zephyrus and River as much as I looked at Jade and Wes.
"Should do," said Wes. "It's not particularly busy."
"You don't think we will get attacked will we?" Jade said anxiously. "Perhaps we should move on."
I cocked my head at her, she seemed my exact opposite. Mum always used to give out to me for judging too quickly, but then again, she gave out to me for doing everything too quickly.
"We'll be fine." I assured her anyway, not wanting to scare away the first elf I had met in a month. "Besides, I bet River and you are awesome. He's an Earth dragon right? That is so cool!"
She gave me a slight smile and asked "What brings you here?"
"Somebody overshot." I said, looking affectionately at Sweep. "It wouldn't be the first time either. When you're travelling at the speed we go at, it's too easy."
"How fast can you go?"
"Nah-ah," Wes said, smiling slightly. "I'm not going to let you let her do all the talking. I'll hazard a guess that she talks far too much." At this, Sweep began to laugh uncontrollably. "So tell me, what's it like with an Earth dragon?"
