It is fine Dynamo, and ya, I remembered that while I was in English and trying to help someone else with their work. My brain takes vacations sometimes though. :D. Dragnet, as I explained in the PM, and will let everyone here know so, the reason I didn't want spirit was so that there was a God-character. There can be one or two, but I don't want any of the people playing here to have one because that wouldn't be fair, plus if we all had them it would really stink. So if you run into a really good set of Dragon and Rider maybe like a trainer or something, ya I think that them having a Spirit Dragon is fine, but I only want a max of three showing up in the story if not just two. Again, I don't understand your question, SB's are here to just be fun, I've never taken a SB and turned it into a book, A. because I'm not hte only writer. B. I just wouldn't want to, ya there are some great ideas out there, but they aren't my own most of the time. :D. So now to continue the story!!!!!!!! People can still join just pm me before you post your profile so it doesn't get to late into the story! Oh and let's try to get everyone in the same spot, like have them run into each other or something. :D**

Name: Jade Moonstone
Age: 20
Race: Elf
Appearance: Black hair, bright green eyes; wears green leather armor
Personality: Is quiet, peaceful, innocent; she cares for everyone, including dragons; is terribly shy
Weapons: A dagger with jades inserted in it; master at throwing knives;
History: From a noble family. Her mother disappeared when Jade was at a very young age. Her father became overprotective, keeping her shut up in their home for ten years. Rarely has she stepped outside. While her father was out hunting, Jade found enough sense to run away from her abusive father. She found a beautiful dragon lying injured, and healed it up with the knowledge of herbs she gained through books in her father’s library. From the dragon, she has learned about the war and agreed to do what she can. Otherwise, she would be running from her father all her life.

Dragon profile:

Name: River
Age: 214
Appearance: A golden dragon; wings shade into a brown at the tips; his golden eyes are specked with brown as well
Personality: Overprotective; defends Jade with his life, seeing as Jade has saved his; is stubborn to all, but a pushover with Jade;
Type: Earth (no one likes?)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

River's eye opened slightly at the sound of a distant yawn. He sniffed silently, careful not to wake Jade who lay in between his front paws (?), curled in a tight ball.

It was human. His snarled, lifting his neck. I'm sorry, Mistress, he thought as Jade shifted, making a small squeak.

"River?" Jade muttered, stretching. "What is it?"

"A human," River reported, then his golden eyes widened, revealing the thin brown rim. "A dragon. Fire!"

River stood on all fours, Jade catching herself from falling over on the stone ground.

((Gotta eat. Hope this works))

Karana

Dusk was falling. Sinarel swooped, carrying me, down to the open field in front of the local bar. Not that I normally drank, but I was in a foul mood and needed something.

I can't help it you're so kind hearted! Sinarel's voice filled my head.

"Like you can't help it you're a real prick sometimes!" I snapped back, leaping from his back.

I closed off my mind before he could snap back and stormed into the bar, desiring nothing more than an ice-cold beer.

A shocker.

Jade stood up and patted River's neck, soothing the dragon. "There are plenty of humans at a bar. They tend to drink. A local invited me for a drink, saying 'it would lift my spirits'. It sounded quite wonderful, you know--"

"An elf," River grunted. Jade winced at the sound of the dragon's claws scratching across the ground. "An Ice Dragon. Dragon Riders, no doubt."

"Why, I've never met another Dragon Rider," Jade said with awe. "An elf, even? Wait, what if they recognize me? And word spreads back to home, meeting my father's ears? I don't want to go back, River. Truly, I don't."

Footsteps sounded down the cave's tunnel. Jade's pointed ears twitched nervously, and she dashed behind River's giant body. Hopefully the newcomer would think she was upstairs in a room. However, with River's temper, her cover probably wouldn't last long.

Nina~

Nina brought Yuki to a quick landing in front of a bar. "Stupid. You should do what you did." Nina commented as she led the limping dragon into a large cave where the dragons, more than likely stayed. 'I was only trying to help.' He replied.

"I understand that b-" Nina was cut off once she noticed an amazing gold dragon in the cave. Due to the size of the dragon it was obviously a male. Nina quickly looked away and back at Yuki. "but...you don't just jump out of nowhere like that. I coulda handled those demons."

'Liar.' Yuki growled before laying down. Nina grabbed a few herb out of her bag and began to chew them. She spit the herb juice on the large wound, that Yuki had recieved. Yuki winced and looked away. Nina laughed lightly as she repeated the process.

River watched the red dragon and elf carefully. Jade felt his muscles tense beneath her fingers. She peeked around his leg, her black hair falling from behind her shoulders.

Jade gasped when her green eyes landed on the red dragon's gash. She put her hand to her mouth as the tiny gasp echoed in the cave. River shifted defensively in case the newcomers had heard her presence. Jade's fright of meeting new people had grown on the overprotective River. Now he, too, was more careful.

Jade hid back behind the leg as the girl's eyes lifted in her direction.

Nina~

"Oh. I didn't know anyone else was in here. Escuse me for my rudeness." Nina apoligized to the girl as she went back to tending Yuki's wound. Nina stood up and walked behind her dragon, grabbing a larger bag. She opened it and grabbed three rolls of wrap. After she had the wrap she walked back around and began wrapping Yuki's wound, leaving a small amount of medical sap in the gash, to have it close quickly. Yuki glared at Nina. 'It burns.' He complained.

"Your fault." She replied. Nina got back up and ran into the bar, grabbing three weak achoholic drinks, two strong ones, and running back to the cave.

"Um...if your thirsty I brought this for you." She said to the girl as she slowly approached the large dragon and the girl. Yuki watched with alarmed eyes as she got closer. Nina layed two of the weak alchoholic drinks about a meter away from the girl and walked back towards Yuki, putting the two stronger ones in front of him, and drinking the last weak one for herself.

'How will this help?' Yuki complained.

"If that doesn't ease the pain, then we'll just use more herbs." Nina thretened Yuki. Yuki slowly turned his big red head around and began to lap at the beer.

"Thata boy."

River didn't attack the elf as she approached them, but a low rumble in his throat was enough to know that he was still watching them. Jade looked down at the drinks she set before them.

"It smells strange," Jade muttered to River. She knelt down, watching the mug as if it would, at any minute, sprout legs and run away.

"It's alcohol," River grumbled, his neck lowering so he could see her with his golden eyes. "You said it sounded wonderful."

Jade's nose scrunched as she picked up the drink. "I can't not drink it. She bought it for me with her own money."

"Then it must be wonderful," River said drolly.

Jade cast him a sharp glance before sniffing at the content. She sipped at it and winced. "It's nothing like my father's herbal drinks back at home."

"Their humans, you know." River settled back on the ground, his eyes still on the red dragon and elf.

Jade took another sip anyway, quietly watching the elf speak with the dragon. Should she say something? Maybe a thank you? She was afraid to. What if her voice cracked? Or she spoke too loudly? She didn't want to make a bad impression.

Nina~

Nina picked up her glowing red sword and dropped it right away, quickly grabbing her scalded hand. She ran to the trough of cool water in the corner and dipped her hand in it, calming down a bit. Yuki let out a rough, coughing sound, almost like a laugh. Nina glared at him and walked back over to her sword, this time, grabbing it by the handle. She quickly shiethed it and set in next to Yuki.

"Maybe I'll burn you with it next time." She scowled. Yuki curved his scaley lips into a grin. Nina stuck her tongue out at the red dragon and picked up her bow and quiver full of arrows. Yuki blew fire in Nina's path, causing her to fall back. She grummbled and stood back up setting the bow and quiver next to Yuki. Yuki laughed again as Nina leaned up against him.

Jade dropped the mug with a [i]clatter![i] as the girl jumped up, her weapon falling to the floor. Jade stood up by instinct, wondering if she should help.

"You're really not going to go over?" River grumbled to her.

Jade watched her throw her hand in the water before returning to the red dragon. She was about to speak when the red dragon blew fire. Jade jumped; River stood on all fours, turning to face them. Was this a threat? River took no chances.

It was a playful interaction, Jade noticed. Her brow furrowed at the strange actions between the two. Jade took a couple steps forward, putting her hand on River's other leg.

Nina~

Nina looked at the golden dragon and the other girl. The dragon was standing on all fours, its nostrils flaring. Yuki tried to stand but fell on the atempt. Blood seeped quickly through the bandage alerting Nina right away.

Nina turned away from the angered dragon and to her own. She quickly applied pressure to it. The second she thought the bleeding stopped it began again.

Nina cursed silently and grabbed an arrow from her quiver, breaking the head off. She exposed a tiny bit of her sword and held the arrow shaft to it. The shaft quickly caught fire and Nina closed the sword back up.

She grabbed a large root out of her bag and began chewing it as she threw other herbs that were red in color into a small pile on the cave ground. She held the burning shaft up to the herbs quickly catching them on fire. The scent drifted through the cave, calming her and Yuki almost at once. The root in her mouth began to burn, signaling she'd chewed enough. Nina spit the juice on Yuki's gash. She put more sap into the gash and quickly wrapped it in extra layers.

After Yuki's 'procedure' was over she stepped on the burning herbs, making the fire go out. Finally Nina spoke to the girl again, seeing that she wasn't going to talk, "Well...I'm Nina. This big guy is Yuki." She pointed at the red dragon. "Recently we got into a fight with demons so.." Nina smiled at the girl.

Jade watched the girl perform the 'procedure'. She recognized the technique in her father's books, though she never tried it.

She rubbed River's leg, soothing the dragon. They didn't mean any harm. The girl only wished to heal her dragon, and Jade wouldn't want a dragon to suffer, nor its owner. Plus, it was an elf. A friendly elf. It was almost like home.

Jade took a couple steps forward, her hands shaking nervously. She hid them behind her back as she heard the girl's comment.

At the sound of demons, Jade's face fell, worry invading her sparkling green eyes. "He will be alright?" Jade asked, taking a couple steps closer. She paused at her rudeness and flushed, looking to the floor and clearing her throat. "I apologize, I really do," she said quickly.

River's eyes narrowed as Jade fumbled over her words. He didn't want more people to fool with Jade's shy nature again.

"I'm Jade," she said softly. She waited for Nina to respond when she jumped. "Oh! And this is River!"

"How long do you think this needless war will go one for?"

"Demons do not think the same way as humans or elves. Their only wish is to bring chaos to the world, destroying everything in their wake."

"And the king does nothing to stop this?"

"The king has sent some of his army to control the growing crisis, but the rest stay at the capitol to protect his precious castle." Zephyrus shook his head. "Sometimes I fear the worst for this world. The humans are too greedy and think only for themselves, the elves are so adamant they stay out of matters that do not concern them, even if thousands die in the process."

"And the dragons are no different?" Wes asked.

Zephyrus looked over his shoulder at his young rider. A look passed across his face, the look he usually had when he was thinking. "I suppose we are not, but some of us realize the growing crisis and have taken action. Understand that a race in the present cannot always be defined by their actions in the past, and there are some in this world who wish to fight to preserve it."

"Like us," Wes said.

The old silver dragon nodded. "Like us."

Wes spotted a small town on the horizon. He pointed to it and said, "There's a town, we can rest there for tonight."

"You can rest there for tonight," Zephyrus said. "I am too big to fit in their..." he searched for a word and finally settled on, "stables."

Wes shrugged. "Suit yourself." They landed at the edge of town. Wes slid off his companion and said, "I'll be waiting here in the morning."

"So shall I," the silver dragon said before turning and disappearing among the trees.

Wes went into the town and looked for the inn. The sun would be setting soon.
