I'll defer to the creator of the roleplay but if you think you yourself can handle eight characters, knock yourself out.

I do, however, think that eight characters, especially eight main characters, would be slightly problematic in the sense that other players don't have that many and would then have vastly unequal involvement in the roleplay. Moriarty would have to talk to eight students belonging to you, right?
