@Tortwag I think it'll be neat for a neutral character to set the story into action. Hopefully everyone else approves. Also I read your character's description, and I feel that she'll get along well with Greywood because of their shared technological abilities... Orrrrrr they'll hate each other. A lot.

@Sheyren Fair point! Let's see how it turns out, then, assuming that we do begin with an encouter with Kysalyn. Also, nah, she'll probably be interested in Greywood's abilities, and he'll probably be interested in her entertainment buildings because MONEEEEEEEEEEY. *re-reads* Then again he has low tolerance for rich people, which she totally is.
...Yes, this might get interesting already,
"Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life? How will I know if I've gone too far? And why did I spend my life savings on sunglasses for a whale? I shall find the answers... to these questions."
Lol yes. MONEEEEEYYYYYY. Seeing as she works for her money, Greywood may not dislike her for that reason, but probably will simply make an enemy out of her. Or a best friend for life. Nah, BFFs are boring.
Does anyone know why when I attempt to use italics a the code is all messed up with extra [i]s and stuff? It's kind of annoying cause I had to rewrite the italics coding thing myself, and I'd like to have the computer do it for me. Anyone know what the problem is?
Sorry for being on the inactive side today, everyone. I was busy pretty much the entire day. But now I'm free, so I'll get to writing that first post while we wait for @Mea's character!
@Tortwag, thank you for all the details. I'd be happy to start off with you.
Why do we capital-N Nerds love Mars so much? Because it's beautiful, it's tough, it's buried in our mythic, childhood memories. It's covered with human triumphs but also with sad stories of failure.
Thanks! I put him in a really awkward position, so I'm glad he's turning out alright. I mean, it's hard telling people their entire life has been a lie.
Oh, @Tortwag, I have a suggestion for your post. If you want to make it longer, you can start your post before the hooded figure appears and lead up to when he talks to her. Also, if I got anything wrong, please tell me!
So... how much are we sticking to 1.10 Minecraft? Because @Mage, you mentioned a miniature train in your post, and that's not in vanilla Minecraft. Unless you meant it was a minecart or something?
I think we should just establish early on exactly how much we're sticking to the real game. Things like backpacks and stuff make since, since normal people don't have an 'inventory,' but aside from that, personally I think it'd be really interesting to try to stick within the confines of the game. I'm just thinking about cool ways to use minecarts as mass transit and whether or not they would use the Nether considering how dangerous it is, and I think it would be fun to logically explore that sort of thing. But if you guys want to go outside 'canon,' I'm open to that too!
We're all stories in the end.
I think of you as a fairy with a green dress and a flower crown and stuff. -EternalRain
I think you, @Deanie and I are like the Three Book Nerd Musketeers of YWS. -bluewaterlily
