Spoiler
Name: Railyn (Pronounced Rye-Lyn) Yona (Pronounced Eye-Oh-Na)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Up For Love: Sure, Bi
Prophecy Role: The Imbued
Appearance:
Railyn is tall and lean, with a mop of curly brown hair on his narrow face. He has spiked eyebrows, light brown eyes, and sharp cheekbones and jawline. The most prominent feature on his face, besides his hair, is his nose. It's large, but somehow fits his face pretty well.

Railyn wears a fluffy gray undershirt covered by a brown vest. He has a maroon piece of fabric that he has tired around his stomach. He can wear it as a shawl or a hood. He also wears loose brown half-pants and well-worn but sturdy sandals that tie up to his calves.
Personality: Railyn is pretty unsure of himself. Combine that with him being fairly clumsy, makes him a bit of laughing stock in his home town. He has deep self confidence issues. However, he likes puzzles, and often thinks about things outside of the box. He likes people and believe in the good of people. He has had troubles with his own mind belittling him, especially that he has become of age and has to start his own life. He's a bag full of insecurities and naivety.
Powers: Railyn has no powers as of right now.
Strengths: Railyn likes to think outside of the box. He likes puzzles, and can chat fairly easily with even the most hardened of strangers. He's also decently strong, but lanky enough that he could fit into tight spaces. He would make a fairly good leader...
Weaknesses: ...If it weren't for all of his insecurities. He doesn't trust himself, and that can easily be manipulated. Conversely, he is far too trusting of others, and believes too much in the good of others. He has not had to deal with manipulators yet, and that is his largest weakness.
Personal Quest: To find a purpose for himself in the grand scheme of things and to ultimately trust himself better.
Personal Secret: He stole an egg from his employer.
History: Railyn is from a small town in Synilas called Yse. From a young age, he worked in the mines for his Master he was apprenticed to, harvesting and collecting many valuable minerals to sell to the capitol. Together with his best friend, Ryun, he had an amazing life filled with daring adventure and risky work that he loved to do. He rarely spent time at home, preferring to stay away from his family of nine and devoted himself to learning as much as he could about Yse. He found out that there are multiple levels of the city, each kept in almost complete isolation from each other as they worked in different parts of the mine.
It started with Railyn and Ryun exploring the other parts of Yse, slowly but steadily. They had to make sure they weren't caught, and to them it was another game. A game of hide and seek, if you will. They repeated it for years, and before long, they knew the ins and outs of the entire city.
One day, Railyn found something different in the mines. It was a smooth and polished oval stone that was warm to the touch. He showed it to Ryun, and together, they decided they should hide it away in Yse.
They continued their usual antics until a Grand Rebellion erupted on the part of the city they were in. It was a simple matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they were at home, or at work, they would not have been involved at all, but they found themselves in the middle of a bloody battle and got separated.
That was years ago. Railyn still has no idea where Ryun is, and hasn't left his section of Yse since that day. He is finishing up his apprenticeship soon, and that means he must choose whether to stay in Yse as a seasoned miner or leave the city in search for his own life.
Other: Railyn's imbued hatchling is a feisty and friendly dragon named Ivern. He is all emerald green.

Name:
Tyri Vidal (pronounced Tie-ree Vee-doll)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
UFL: Sure
Prophecy Role: The Seer
Appearance: Tyri is short and slender. She has long, curly black hair, often pulled back into a ponytail or braid. Her skin is freckled and very pale, while her eyes are almond-shaped and a cloudy bluish-grey as a result of her blindness. A round face, soft, rounded features, and large eyes give her a childish look. She’s a melancholic, but often smiley person.
Tyri wears a short-sleeved knee-length blue dress, a brown leather braided belt and vest, a long-sleeved white undershirt, brown leggings, and a pair of woven sandals. She carries a plain, unadorned wooden staff that she uses for spellcasting.
Personality: Tyri is easygoing, curious, mature, introspective, and introverted. She's honest, compassionate, and humble- a selfless and fiercely loyal person who holds other people's wellbeing and comfort above her own. She's relaxed and is able to stay calm even in stressful or dangerous situations. She’s generous and will never turn away from someone in need of her help, and loves exploring, learning new things, and meeting interesting people.
However, due to her sheltered upbringing and lack of real-world experience outside of books, she’s also overly idealistic, naïve, and ignorant of how the world really works. She believes the best of people and trusts too easily, which has made her an easy target for opportunistic con-artists, pickpockets, and thieves along her travels.
Despite her bravery and selflessness in most situations, she’s afraid of failing others and not being able to meet their expectations for her. She isn’t very confident and can be self-deprecating, which causes her to be soft-spoken and often withdrawn or reserved. This insecurity worsened after Tyri lost her eyesight and “failed” her mother when she wasn’t able to become a historian.
Tyri’s greatest fear is helplessness. While she’s able to maintain an outward appearance of calm stoicism and composure, abruptly losing her sight or the ability to use magic in a battle would cause her to freeze and panic.
Powers: Able to read hidden magical texts as a result of her role of "Seer" in the prophecy. She can also cast spells and use primal sense.
Strengths: Tyri is intelligent, works well in a team, and can stay calm in stressful/dangerous situations. Despite her blindness, she's still extremely well-read from her years of studying to become a historian. She’s fluent in multiple languages and knowledgeable about many different topics. She’s also a skilled spellcaster.
Weaknesses: Tyri is blind, though she’s able to somewhat overcome this weakness through use of primal sense (a form of magic that allows her to sense what is around her). Otherwise, she isn't very confident. Though she's book-smart, she doesn't have much real, hands-on experience. Tyri is also physically weak and slow, relying on magic to defend herself. Her curiosity can cause her to nose into dangerous things that might be better left alone, and she is sometimes recklessly decisive when something catches her interest.
Personal Quest: Tyri wants to preserve peace and save lives by retrieving Aether's Heart. A secondary quest: She’s always had a wanderlust and longing for adventure. She now wants to overcome her blindness and fulfill her childhood dream of exploring the world she's only read about in books. More than anything, she’d like to give her life meaning by devoting herself to a cause, and takes joy in helping people she meets throughout her travels.
Personal Secret: Tyri abandoned her mother and everyone/everything she knew in order to travel the world, leaving them on bad terms. This secret sits in the back of her head like a nagging itch, but she tries not to think about it and justifies running away to herself to avoid the feeling of guilt.
History: Tyri was born in Synua, the capital of Synilas, but raised in the city of Syna. All of her family members were magic-users, and were persecuted by the Idora family because of this. After her older brother and father were killed by the Idoras, Tyri (four years old at the time) and her mother fled the city and found sanctuary in Syna.
As Tyri's family was quite wealthy, her mother was able to afford for Tyri to get an extensive education. From a young age, she was groomed to become a scholar and historian, taught by a range of tutors in different subjects. In addition to this education, she was taught magic by her mother. It seemed certain that Tyri had a bright future as a skilled spellcaster and historian.
Unfortunately, Tyri became very sick five years into her apprenticeship. Though she survived her illness, the disease caused her to become blind in both eyes. Realizing that she’d never be able to read or write again, Tyri was devastated. Her entire life had been single-mindedly devoted towards this goal, and was now made pointless.
Tyri persuaded her mother to teach her the magic of primal sense, which now allows her to somewhat sense what is around her- though the skill isn’t as reliable as sight and requires a lot of focus and energy. With her mother’s help, Tyri continued to study magic and came to terms with her blindness.
With this year of change came the realization that her sheltered life of constant study and training under her mother’s firm control made her feel stifled and lonely, and having to start from the ground up as a primal sense user had made her lose heart. She confronted her mother about it and asked to leave and make a life for herself on her own. When her mother refused, Tyri left anyways, determined never to return.
Since then, she has spent the past year and a half traveling Syna, selling her services as a spellcaster to make her living.

Spoiler

Name: Elidyr (Adonis) var Ardys.
Age: 25.
Gender: Male.
Up For Love: Yes; he's very, very gay.
Prophecy Role: The Judge.
Appearance: Elidyr has short bronze-haired, hazel eyes and pale skin with a smattering of freckles across his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose. He's lean but muscular with a bright smile and sad eyes. He typically wears the white-with-pale-blue-embroidery robes that Healers devoted to the Mother wear, and standard heavy, cotton pants and a pale blue cotton shirt beneath it. He carries a medium sized, soft, brown leather bag and also carries a dagger on him. He'll swear it's for healing purposes, but it's also for defense. Not many people trust an Adonis magic user in Synilas, and he knows it pays to be wary of basically everyone.
Personality: Elidyr is a sad, quiet young man with a passion for healer--despite the challenges his magic grants him. He usually has a bright smile, but his eyes are sad and he doesn't bother to hide the fact that he was exactly wanted by family. He knows he's the youngest son and therefore a spare of a spare of a spare, but it still makes Eli sad that he had to travel so far from home to make a life for himself. He's nobility, so he's polite and has a general understanding of the politics involved when interacting with other nobility and with those of a higher or lower class, but mostly likes to keep to himself. He's not one for attracting attention, even though the healer robes attracts plenty of looks.
Powers: Primal Sense (Advanced) - Elidyr is a healer, although his magic hurts the person he's healing--and sometimes hurts him--which leads to him using it sparingly.
Strengths: He's good at what he does, both in the aspect of healer--despite it's cons--and with his dagger, though he can also use several different weapons from sword to spear to bow. He's also perfectly polite and friendly, when inclined to be.
Weaknesses: He's socially awkward, despite know all the dos and don'ts that he learned as a son of an Asturian Lord, and is very much a loner. Though he's good at his healing, it tends to hurt both the patient and himself, and isn't generally looked upon favourably. Eli doesn't take it personally, but sometimes it hurts when he offers and people decline his help.
Personal Quest: He just wants to find a place to belong.
Personal Secret: He absolutely hates his magic and feels that if it were anything else, his family wouldn't have sent him away. He also wonders why they sent him to the Imperial Academy of War instead of the Adonis Academy. Eli is also posing as Elidyr var Adrys instead of Adonis at the moment, considering the fact that he's in Synilas and that is the Idora Family's domain.
History: Elidyr was born to Lord Scarra Adonis and his third wife in Astyr in the Empire of Asturia some twenty-five years ago. He was raised by Scarra and his mother, and was raised as any young noble would be. Right up until his magic announced its presence one day when his twin sister, Aiyana, injured herself quite badly one day. He healed her, but it hurt them both for Eli to do so. Upon this discovery, Eli's parents discussed his future and decided to send him to Asturia’s Imperial Academy of War for training. He was only ten.
Upon his arrival at the Imperial Academy of War, they immediately settled him into the field medic class with the other children who had shown an aptitude for healing magic. He trained and studied there for another ten years, returning home periodically to visit his family and see his twin sister.
Once his studies were complete, he was given an unattached title of "Battle Healer" and "Captain", and sent home. Upon arriving home, instead of his parents being proud of him, they told him to go and "discover himself", whatever that meant. So Elidyr packed up a bag and headed out into the realm. He soon found himself crossing the border into Synilas and has been there ever since, slowly working his way around the smaller kingdom until he was summoned by the prophecy.
Other: He has a small, winged cat with him that is black and named Lady who can communicate with him telepathically. Elidyr discovered her near Nila while crossing the border on foot.

Spoiler
Name: Paimon Fel
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Up For Love: Yes, pansexual
Prophecy Role: The Spear
Appearance: Paimon aims for the nondescript, and to do that is easy enough as an authentic vagrant. Her travelling cloak is torn, though not in the cool way, but from fraying and repatching the burlap. She wears a muted earth-tones ensemble (think Lord of the Rings hobbits) and two different-sized shoes. She carries a rather large travel-bag on her back.
Paimon has a tall head with reddish-brown hair, and narrow eyes. She has a lanky frame on the larger side, and that is far as the eye can tell.
Personality: Paimon is laid-back and carefree. She only wishes to exist in this manner, and as such generally doesn't fret the problems around her. She lives frugally and enjoys simplicity. She sees magic as pretentious and overrated, preferring her natural skills with a sling. So far, so good. She seems to enjoy life whenever the stone isn't around; when it is, she becomes sullen for brief periods. To most people, she seems flippant and slightly rude.
Powers: Paimon has been cursed by the ghost of a rock. This rock is about six centimeters in diameter, and a perfectly smooth sphere. It has the glowing insignia of a spiral, and can be made of anything. This rock turns up near her at any point in her journey, comprised of the surface it spawned from. She is the only one capable of handling it without injury; when anything else collides with the stone, it releases the force of its elemental properties. Even if the stone were to be made of magma, she could still hold it and sling it over the horizon. The stone is also a curse and therefore unaffected by other movement spells.
Strengths: Paimon is capable of living in the wilderness and has generally good stamina and instincts. She's not the best at brewing potions, but she is good at finding useful flora and fauna. She has a relaxed attitude that helps when dealing with others.
Weaknesses: Paimon is lazy and generally doesn't address the problems at hand. She laughs off danger to the point of recklessness, and avoids the things she doesn't like. She can be rather shallow and doesn't seem to want to talk about anything personal.
Personal Quest: Paimon wants to be free of her curse. The stone causes mayhem wherever she goes.
Personal Secret: Paimon's stone came from her brother, when she killed him by accident while fighting over it.
History: Being a poor girl from the town of Nua Port, all Paimon wanted was magic. Sadly, she lacked any aptitude for it. Her younger brother was a prodigy, developing Primal Sense early on, with the family devoting their resources toward his education.
Through an accident one day, she killed her brother using the stone. The stone continued to haunt her with disaster into her adult life. She dropped out of medicinal study and began wandering the world, away from the stagnancy of her home town.
She makes her living now partially as a drifter, partially as an apothecary dealer. Her backpack now holds all sort of potion ingredients she's collected from the woods, as well as regular cooking tools.
Other: Paimon is an excellent cook, and tends to wonder about the next meal often.

Spoiler
Name: BelxibisAge: 33
Gender: Male
Up For Love: ehhhhhh
Prophecy Role: The Forsaken
Appearance: Belxibis is 6ft 4in, not including his horns, which arch out from his temples above his head. He has shining gold eyes, deep blue skin, and a small scar on his chin. He's got dark blue curly hair that sweeps back from his forehead, with strands that frame his face. He also has a semi-long tail, more akin to that of a lizard. He's big and strong and wears silver plated armor with a long-sword at his side.
Personality: Belxibis is charming, chivalrous, and charismatic, but always keeps an air of mystery about him. He cracks a lot of jokes and has very thick skin - it takes a lot to ruffle his feathers. He's used to looking out for himself, so he tends to hold people at a distance. He's used to receiving many types of rejection, so he's very slow to trust.
Powers: Righteous Rage. When he is overcome with fury, he becomes an unnaturally strong destructive force that is nearly unstoppable. He doesn't feel pain while in this state and is able to wield his weapon with a speed and power he can't seem to achieve outside of it. Once he calms down, any injuries he sustained will take effect on him and his energy will likely be completely depleted. It will take him a considerable amount of time to recharge, and he won't remember a thing about what happened while Righteous Rage is in use.
Strengths: Belxibis is very personable and good at directing conversations in ways that he deems favorable or useful. He can be very persuasive, but also effectively deceitful - which isn't necessarily a good thing, but he's good at selling a lie. Belxibis trained himself how to fight, and had to learn everything himself through trial and error. Because of this he's very resourceful.
Weaknesses: Belxibis can be a big flake. Committing to something and sticking with it has never been his strong suit. He tends to jump into things without realizing what it all entails. Impulsive.
Personal Quest: He just wants enough money and resources to make a home for himself somewhere where he can be alone and no one can bother him or be bothered by his presence.
Personal Secret: Belxibis can’t read or write. He's also ridiculously lonely, but will never admit to it.
History: For most of Belxibis's life, he's been on his own. Belxibis lived a large portion of his life without a name until he gave himself one, naming himself after a star. He was quickly abandoned at birth, and doesn't remember much of his childhood, but he remembers heat and sand, and he knows he's spent his whole life fighting. If asked, he'll tell people he's from the Great Western Desert. He's spent his whole life on the road, never staying in one place too long, and never getting to know anyone too well - not that anyone was ever too eager to get to know him anyways, with him being a tiefling. As much as he can manage, he tries to be a sell-sword, but he's found more trouble offering his services than by just existing on the fringes of society. Fortunately, he found a niche need to meet - smuggling illegal magical items to mages and others interested in forbidden types of magic. As someone of his status, he doesn't feel he has much to lose being associated with less savory practices.
When he does venture into civilization, it's only to get supplies, money, or to meet with a client. Much of his personality is formed as a way to disarm people and make himself seem more "human," and less fearful (or at worst, hated).
Other: In his travels, when alone, he sings to pass the time.

Name: Spider Monkey (real name: Nakiasha Bipieros)Age: 35
Gender: What is that? (Pronouns: she/her, assigned female at birth)
Up For Love: Yes, omnisexual
Prophecy Role: The Stolen
Appearance: Spider Monkey is tall and muscular but lean, her dark brown skin tinted slightly with blue to give a more grayish tone to her skin. Her hair is made up of many strands of seagrass, braided down past her shoulders in many small, tight braids. Her hair will dim and begin to lose its color if she hasn't washed it recently or if it has been out of the sun for an extended period of time. Spider's eyes are a light brown that hints at wet sand, and she binds her chest often. She wears loose brown pants, dark brown boots that pull over the pants, and a sleeveless black shirt. Around her neck she wears a simple choker with a single rounded sandstone at the front holding the two pieces of brown leather together. While she may change clothes and offer some variation of pirate-y outfits, she never takes off her necklace-- ever, which includes when she sleeps. Her weapons-- two viking-style axes with wooden handles and leather criss-crossed straps-- are on her at nearly all times except when she sleeps. Even then, they're close at hand. She also carries a single curved dagger with her.
Personality: Spider is loyal to her core for people she trusts, which currently only includes her crew. She's completely untrusting towards anyone else and won't bother to pretend like she does trust them. She has a sharp, edgy personality, and can be seen as a badass, but not necessarily in a likable way, just in a begrudging respect type of way. She's confident when she knows she can be, but she's not cocky, especially in unfamiliar situations. She doesn't really have a 'soft side' underneath her 'shell'-- she might begin to trust someone, but for the most part her personality stays the same. She's pretty consistent in it, and not someone who usually jokes around much, even with those she trusts. She's lost her innocence and isn't going to be swayed because she thinks someone wouldn't do something/isn't capable of doing something. She follows the facts, and the only emotion that gets in that way is her loyalty or the perceived loyalty of those around her towards her. Spider is brave but she's not fearless, she's just smart about keeping her fears under control. The only one that someone might actually look like normal fear would be her fear of her own magic.
Powers: Spider's strong connection to nature has caused an unconscious bond between herself and the use of Primal Sense, meaning that all the magic built up in her will come out through the nature around her depending on her mood. This is especially dangerous if she is feeling strong negative emotions because the weather or water around her can become violent. Her own fear of it and the danger it imposes has caused her to wear an anti-magic stone necklace at all times.
Strengths: Spider is completely loyal, with a sharp wit and able to separate facts from most of her feelings. She's consistent, brave, and reliable. She's also got strength and speed on her side because of her lifestyle and "career", if you could call it that. Spider in battle wields two axes, both ancient viking-style with a sharp edge, a curve that can be used to hook around things or people, and a blunt back for a more blunt-force hit. She's extremely skilled with her two axes, and decent with her curved dagger in hand-to-hand combat. She's good at knot-tying, climbing rope, navigation by the stars and sun, and doing different moves and twists on ropes in the air, all perks of a career on the sea.
Weaknesses: She's too loyal to those she's close to and completely untrusting towards anyone else. If she doesn't trust someone, then that person generally doesn't like her. She has a very strong personality that is either immediately liked or disilked. She doesn't really have a soft side and she's terrified of her own magic to the point where she actively avoids ever letting it out. As a result, her magic is wild and out of control because she's never attempted to control it, and she has a deep distrust for magic in general, which leads to her doing whatever she can to avoid it. She doesn't do long-distance weapons well at all besides canons.
Personal Quest: When her crew is dead, she'll have nowhere to go. She's in too much pain, though she wouldn't say it, to try to find an entirely new crew and start over again. She'd been with many of those people for seventeen years, and trying to create a new family like that on the sea and acting like nothing happened just wouldn't work for her. She'll have nowhere to go but with the crew.
Personal Secret: Her magic and her lack of ability to control it.
History: Spider grew up in Synua, Synilas, born to two parents who fought a lot. Her life at home was rough, and she ended up leaving at fourteen to try to find a life outside of Synua. Her initial plan was to find any distant relatives from where her parents initially grew up, but that's not what ended up happening. Spider had a strong connection to the nature around her because of her heritage; however, because of a strict no-magic environment growing up, she never learned about it. The magic over the years built up, unused, and when she finally exited from Synua and out of range of the Pillars of Strength for the first time at the age of fourteen, her magic exploded into one of the most terrifying things she's lived through. Her own confusion and terror at the magic fed the connection and the restlessness of it, and it seemed she could never run out of magic. After a full twenty-four hours of isolating herself completely from others and sleeping through the day trying to avoid her emotions affecting her environment, she managed to wrangle it under control long enough to go back within Synua just long enough to buy an anti-magic stone that she attached to two strips of brown leather, creating her choker.
After witnessing how the
Other: She has a strong aversion to magic, distrusts it deeply, and overall gives off vibes that she hates it. The root of this hatred is a fear of the destruction she could cause, but nobody else will realize that unless she explicitly tells them.
Nobody knows her real name besides her, and if she ever reveals it, it will take a very long time.
