The goal for the August 28th 2011 Review Day was set at 800 reviews. In setting that goal, I was pretty confident that we would hit it although I didn't expect much more than that. Instead, you all plowed through the goal, and ended up with a total of 951 reviews. When you include reviews in the art / photography forum (which do not count toward the goal), the number of reviews completed was an astounding 976!

So congratulations to all on a very successful Review Day! The next one will be on September 25th.

Review Teams

This was only the fourth time ever that we have used review teams on Review Day. We had 201 people join them (which leads me to wonder why we had only 162 reviewers!), which is somewhat incredible. When we last did teams on June's Review Day, we had only 167 people join. We did have more in May, but May was a month-long competition.

It was a pretty hard fought struggle between the teams. Ultimately, Team Watchmen surged to the lead in the late hours of the day to take home the cherished bragging rights intangible medal! The overall results are below:

Team Watchmen: 19,565 points (229 reviews)
The Shamrockers: 17,329 (254 reviews)
Team Red: 16,606 (273 reviews)
Tardis: 11,692 (144 reviews)

Congratulations to all! By the way, Team Watchmen did the fewest reviews of the top three teams, demonstrating that's all about quality rather than quantity. Remember that for next time!

Yay! I didn't think it would work. I was sure I submitted about twenty seconds early.

Great review day, everyone! I can tell that a lot of people were contributing as much as they could. It was wonderful and loads of fun!

Yes!

Also, I nominated Noelle(first place) to reviewer 1 badge- I'll be happy if others will do the same- She did write 41 reviews.

it's so interesting that my team, Watchmen, only did 229 reviews, when the next two did considerably more... well, I know that all 17 of mine were max point reviews, and I think most people in my team did the same. Veeerry interesting...
