If the test goes according to plan and the baby doesn't wiggle too much, we might be able to tell the gender of the baby soon!

But, guessing is still fun. :)

So... so far!

Arguments for a boy:
1. I have been craving salty foods throughout pregnancy.
2. Chinese astrology charts say that it will be a boy.
3. We flipped a coin, and got a boy.
4. (Suggested by @Adnamarine) The baby seats low.

Arguments for a girl:
1. My sister-in-law, father, and I have had dreams where I have a girl.
2. (Suggested by @fortis) If I tie a string to my wedding ring and dangle it over my belly, it goes in a circular motion.
3. (Suggested by @Adnamarine) The heart rate has been over 150 in all measurements so far.

If you have some different old wives' tales about figuring out gender during pregnancy, you can ask them here so you can find out!

Anyway... guess! We'll see how good YWS is in figuring out baby genders. ;)

I voted girl because in my experience, dreams are more likely to be true than astrology. ^^
I've heard if you tie a string to your wedding ring, and dangle it over your belly, if it goes back and forth it's a boy, and if it goes circularly it's a boy. It's an old wives' tale alright. :3

According to that old wives' tale, @fortis, it shall be a girl!

My husband says it's a boy, so therefore I have to be contrary and say that it's a girl. :P However, we're not hoping for one or the other.

I'm completely positive it's going to be a girl.

Common myths where I live that I have heard repeatedly:

Salty food or high meat content cravings tend to mean a boy, while sweats and sugary cravings mean a girl.

If the pregnant woman is graceful throughout her pregnancy, she’s having a girl. If she becomes clumsy, she’s having a boy.

If the father-to-be was a first born, then your also going to have a first born boy, if not then its 50/50.

If the dad-to-be gains weight while you are pregnant, it’s a girl. If he doesn’t gain weight, you’re having a boy.

Have someone hold a necklace over your hand. If the necklace swings back and forth, it’s a boy. If it moves in a circle, it’s a girl. Its said to do the test 5 times and what ever shows up the most.

Faster hair growth means boy.

Goodness... what if the pregnant woman was clumsy from the get-go? After all, before I was pregnant, I was recovering from a sprained ankle that I had gotten when I walked up the path that led to my house!

My husband is not a first-born! He is the third and last child.

I think that he is mostly gaining weight because I am cooking more than he is used to eating...

Not sure about the hair growth. It seems normal to me!

If you are willing to tolerate a joke, shortly after your child is born, get a fake rocket, dig a hole and take a picture of you taking them out of the rocket, and then edit it, or find someone who is good at photo editing to make it look like a recent crash landing. Then save it somewhere then print it off, and hide it somewhere they would find it when they turn 10.

@Adnamarine: It was 151 or something like that...

@Zolen: My parents wrote a letter to me when I was in my teens about how I was definitely not found under a garden gnome or conceived in anyway similar to Jesus Christ, and yes... they were definitely my parents, whether I liked it or not. I was crying by the end of it, it was so hilarious.
